Even if the government fund it, we know the government can be biased and prejudice…. we certainly see that in the whole vaccination big Pharma tangled Webb of Covid vaccinations…. so tell me exactly which studies you trust because there was no funding from a bias source? Well, truly it's about finding the sweetspot in quality and quantity. Technically if you drugged yourself to death, I heard it's dope, but that immediately afterwards you die. But then also, I reckon maybe dedicating every action ever in your life focused towards maximizing your lifespan, than you lived the longest but then there's no point to having lived that life. Therefore, the way to look at it could be as finding enjoyment in the habits that increase your lifespan, because you cash in that gained lifespan by living it the best.

Since turning 40 I have been following intermittent fasting, it is a huge reason I have been able to maintain my weight. The last several months I have included longer fasts, 24, 48 & 72 hours. I have stayed healthy while others around me have dealt with colds or the flu. My bloodwork is always in the healthy range. As soon as I heard about this study I was skeptical. I have done strict Adkins and intermittent fasting since I was 42 years old and I am now over 60 years old and still weigh in at 165 pounds at 6 feet tall. I have great numbers, no heart attacks or even myocarditis, and feel great. I also have a genetic form of hypertension that required me to take medication since I was about 30 years old. I take very low doses and never had even one heart issue while running over 100 miles per week as a Professor at USMA. All of the males in my family have had major heart attacks and some quad bypasses by my age and most died much younger than I am now so I think I will continue with my current program. BTW, I was put on Adkins by a physician who trained in China and everyone told me that it was terrible and I would regret it and they were all wrong as far as I am concerned. I get a check up twice a year and everything thus far is fine.

In 2020 I became massively obese. I have searched for ways to reduce my weight and nothing worked, however I decided 4 months ago to just eat once per day, and that I could have whatever I wanted within that hour until I was full, with the exception of Gluten. since doing this I have lost nearly 3 stone, and I feel the best I have been since 2019. I don't listen to studies. The same mindset of people published the American diet full of carbs and refined sugars. eat the opposite to what people tell you, because they want to sell you the least quality for the most money, not for the benefit of your health.

Between the clot shot and intermittent fasting--even extended fasting, I choose the latter. One wonders if they missed something very basic: one loosing their appetite and not eating can be a sign of illness, an implicit form of autophagy. So without knowing the reason why a person wasn't eating, the "study" is absolutely meaningless.

@@francostacy7675Most scientist have trouble reproducing results from peer reviewed studies anyways. Humans have been doing their research of the world around them for thousands of years, I would seriously rather trust 10k people trying something and sharing their results than 1 dude with a 200k piece of paper getting governement or corporation grants to fund research on a subject. That is probably also the reason why most peer reviewed studies do not grant the expected outcome most of the time, chemistry being the worse of the lot.

1) A person with compromised health is more likely to try a different type of diet. 2) The more their health is compromised, the more likely to try the more extreme version of the diet. 3) A super healthy person in less likely to be trying diets, even less the more extreme versions of a diet. 4) Therefore, we can conclude that when we are grouping the people by the “difficulty” of a diet, we actually are grouping by level of health. 5) Less healthy people tend to live less than super healthy people. What a concept!! And yes, a lot of super healthy people try different diets to be even more healthy, but on average the people with health issues are more motivated to try different diets.

Being older I was starting to have high blood pressure and my glucose levels was getting high, I was already not eating for around 11-12 hours in the morning many days and gave it a try after seeing a guy on Rogan and talking to an Indian lady that told me about Ayurvedic Diet that I looked into and saw I adhered to some of the principles already, so a couple times a week I inter-fast for 15-18 hours, cut down on the sweets too(my weakness), and just made sure I eat better food(I gave up fast food long ago but our options are limited when eating out), also eat less(be conscious of eating). Happy to say my BP has been perfect and blood levels all good last couple years, I also save a good amount of money on groceries as those sweets add up per week.
