Phnom Penh, Cambodia's newest development is shaping up nicely, and it could be the best new investment in the city. It's called Koh Norea, and it's located where the Basaac River splits from the Mekong River. Currently, it's about 25 minutes away from downtown Phnom Penh, however a new bridge is being built that will make it possible to reach downtown in just 5 minutes. The bridge will be complete in a few months, and it's going to change everything. They've also reclaimed land along the Mekong and are developing it with shops, hotels, and even a casino. While that will take years, there is already an amazing space in the area that offers food, drinks, shopping - all in a kid-friendly park setting. It's called the Ground Market. Definitely check it out if you are in the area. Their play park is maybe the best one in the city.
