iPad Pro 2020 is nice but nothing new from iPad Pro 2018 though. I still prefer the old design and Touch ID is better, still a nice iPad.

Im still on the 2017 10.5. I only use it for general use so its still like new but im always tempted for the newer tech.

Is The new 2020 iPad Pro compatible with all formats of GoPro 7 or 8 footage? My iPad Pro 2017 is not compatible with HEVC of the GoPro’s. I’m really considering buying a new one but want to make sure it’s compatible first.

Can someone tell me if I do benefit hugely by upgrading to the 11 inch iPad pro 2020 from the iPad pro 2017 10.5, I use it mainly for editing 4k video from my drone, is there a big difference in processing power? Thanks.

2017 feel solid compared to 2020. Day to day use you will not notice any difference on the speed.

I have the 10.5 2017 pro. I’m upgrading. I think there’s been enough changes where the upgrade is worth it. I upgrade Apple products no earlier than 3 years. Any thing before that... there’s not enough changes for it to be worthwhile

The 2020 isn't much of an upgrade over the 2018, so if you felt like the upgrade from the 2017 model to the 2018 wasn't worth it then the upgrade to the 2020 probably isn't worth it either if your 2017 model doesn't have any issues. Might as well wait for the next upgrade to see if they'll make enough changes for it to be worth it. 2017 iPad pro still has a newer chipset than the 7th gen 2019 iPad, so it's probably going to get at least 2 more years of support from Apple.

No. There isn’t a difference between any of them. The only difference between 2017 and 18 is the screen and they added a button and magnetic charging to the pencil. They only changed the camera on 2020. I just got my 2020 yesterday and I preferred my 12.9 2017. It’s really just purchasing for the exact same thing twice. I’m going to return.
