I have to say at just under 7 hours of continuous video watching, internet scrolling and heavy gaming, the Mini lasted a solid couple of hours longer than expected. Its more than good for the market it was designed for and I can see it lasting the whole day for most. Great to see the 12 and 12 Pro being identiacal as well, the A14 is really out here flexing its efficiency muscles. Keep up the great work Tom!

I got iPhone mini blue today . I am very happy about it’s battery life. Was browsing in 5g/LTE, watching videos in Netflix and RU-vid. Now I am at 50% battery with around 4.5 hours screen time. I was just doing daily routine stuffs with around 50-60% screen brightness . So far it’s really good. This is mini BEAST. Even though the size is mini, screen is really big enough to watch videos in Netflix or RU-vid . Go for it.

@@edwts he was using wifi which takes about the same power as LTE, and apple has a mode where 5g only kicks in when needed during downloads and such. Additionally, he was doing demanding tasks that many average users(especially those who prefer the mini) would not be doing anyways. Plus my iphone X with 60 percent battery capacity lasts longer than that.

all of them support 20W, given the ammount of battery at the speed, the mini should be first, then 12 and 12 pro, and lastly 12 pro max, although wireless charging in 12 mini is not 15W like all the others, it just supports up to 12W

@@benlkh92 many factors come into battery life, what apps you run, how many are in the backround, hell, even the air around you, hotter more humid settings will drain your battery quicker than dry cold environments

I'll probably go for the Mini, still on my 6S as I hated the notch. But my battery is failing for the second time, so gotta upgrade. Not a fan of the big ass phone trend. Edit: After spending some time with both sizes I decided to go with the Pro. I didn’t realize I could still type with one hand and nearly touch all 4 corners. 6 minute of a RU-vid video used to knock off 10% of my battery life. Night and day difference.

6S probably has outlasted its life. Kudos to you for taking care of it. I hate the notch, too, but it's time to get in the ship. You still have a choice to buy the SE 2020, it's cheaper and the same size as 6S. This is if you do not mind a slightly worse battery and camera.

All of this comes at a premium of at least $300 which is a lot of money for a phone for a lot of us. I'm merely suggesting that if notch is not OP's liking, there are more other options, although I would personally spend the extra money and get the Mini just for cameras.

I would say that’s pretty decent battery life for the Mini. Expected less. A lot less. I have the 12 Pro but I originally wanted the Mini just didn’t want to wait. 😂 My mum has just ordered the Mini. So I think I may swap her. Cheers for the video. Your time is appreciated. 👍

I use my phone literally all day, I'm talking about 10 hours+ Screen on Time minimum. Although it's mostly light use, only browsing, social media and watching youtube. No gaming or anything heavy. I'm also the type of person to dark mode everything. The fact that the mini lasted almost 7 hours with heavy tasks like gaming really surprised me. Hopefully it could last at least 9 hours when I use it.

The pricing they advertise is for a carrier plan like Verizon etc. So if u upgrade on a carrier u get it for $30 less than the unlocked. The actual price of the phone is $30 more. It's not $30 to unlock it. It's just $30 more for the unlocked version. Misleading bc Apple is not a carrier, they make phones.

Great question - I just checked and it's 100%. it's a review sample from Apple and only been used for a couple of days / the odd camera test. Never used as my main phone.

Wow. That 12 Pro Max is so massive. I've been using Sony, Samsung S+ and Note series previously but I appreciate the form factor of the 5.8" iPhones hence opted for the 6.1" iPhone 12 Pro. The size is perfect, coming from previous Note9 user.

After watching this, where the 12 Pro Max lasts above 9hours, and mrwhosetheboss' video, where it lasts less than 8 hours, im convinced that these tests are roughly an indicator and no more than that. It highly depends on what youre doing. The mini is for lighter users and for that almost 7h SoT with 2227mAH is good. And above 9h for the 12 Pro Max is great as well. Overall theres nothing to cpmplain about

Great question - I just checked and it's 100%. it's a review sample from Apple and only been used for a couple of days / the odd camera test. Never used as my main phone.

Well we have to take this video with a grain of salt considering the Data/Network is off on the 12 Pro max and thats where it's biggest battery drain would come from with the 5G CHIP.

@@CraigDIGz you’re not wrong but I think if anything it make the review more accurate. We all know 5G will drain battery faster. This proves that the new chip is more efficient even with the smaller battery.

My God, if 7 straight hours of video/gaming/filming isn't enough for you, your phone battery is definitely not your biggest problem. My 12 mini arrives Friday to replace my iPhone 8. Thanks for the video!
