The point with many comparisons is they only show a few simple shots and compare those. Btw, your examples were good already, as they show hoe overprocessed the iPhone-footage is (coming from an iPhone-user). But my point is, the big differences in recording-/codec-/compression-quality come when you start coloring. Then you’ll see the true power of camera’s like the C70 come to life.

Very true! Something I didn't mention in the video but was a real problem when making this video was that I shot the exact same amount of footage with both camera's, the C70 shot around 30GB and the iPhone in ProRes shot over 200GB. Trying to offload 200GB of footage from a phone took me several hours and was a massive headache. If you don't shoot in ProRes the footage is 8bit and falls apart very fast and so you are left with no great middle ground.

The real test is when you watch it on a big screen, then sensor size matters.

Great video! I think that the iPhone is a little over-sharpened, while the cinema camera looks more normal, like what you could see with your eyes

Drones and action cameras also suffer from this artificial over sharpening. I don’t know why manufactures feel the need to crank up the sharpness but someone must like it because everyone does it haha
