I remember the good old days when I used to be able to play COD zombies on my iPod 4. Those days are gone. Can't even load the settings app on that thing anymore lol.
Kevin Riazi you can still play cod zombies if you have an iphone or newer ipod. I have it on my iphone 6. it isn't optimised for iphone 5 or newer but it is still fun.
RaW Chief tell me about it I always took care of mine until my stupid cousin tried to jailbreak it! Now it is just sitting in a drawer with black screen of death
True, but I bet that apples "updates" has something to do with that, it's a genius marketing strategy, make new iPhone, make new update that makes older devices a piece of junk. It's genius I tell you! GENIUS!!!
+KhorseNwolf Minecraft And More! Yeah same. I have the 6g 64GB grey model. It's blazing fast on iOS9.3.3, jailbroke it as well for premium spotify. Really love using it for music & RU-vid, it's my secondary behind my android
downgrade to ios 4.1. apple is still signing the software (for reasons unexplained). go to ipsw.me to download the firmware for your phone EDIT: or is it the 3G? lol im confused
I remember the days. I had an iPod touch 3G and everyone thought it was the coolest thing ever. I play doodle jump and angry birds. Fruit ninja. I still play fruit ninja. Ahhh.
lennox285679 Same here. I have a 3rd Gen with 64 GB and I remember taking it to school a long time ago and everyone thought it was an awesome little beast with over 4,000 songs and a ton of games. I still use it now but I hope to get a 32 GB 6th Gen later.
The iPod Touch 4th Gen was my first smart device. I can still remember back how I went into the tech retailer store to spend my over years saved pocket money.
I still have the 4th generation. I enjoyed using it for the first 3 years and now it's dead slow. I use it as my second alarm to get me out of bed. It's always on top of the wardrobe so it makes me get out of bed to switch it off.
Ah... I got a 4G back in mid 2012 and man it felt so cool back then! I used it for a few years, and still occasionally go back and play around with it for nostalgia's sake. Really miss that skeuomorphic design 😫
@@tak_cj8264 it does. I have one and I'm signed into icloud and apple ID, I can download stuff from app store. You're doing something wrong because it worked for me.
The iPod touch4g as my first ever smart device is still the sexiest smart device out there when its not scratched up but in 2nd place is my sexy nvidia shield
***** as if compared to those weird Samsung galaxy's and moto x phones the internet photos of the shield tablet make it look all gray and cheap but in real life its a nice metal black with a smooth body that doesn't look like a some oval shaped phone square design is still the best looking out there
***** um ive played the new shield games on this tablet sadly its not a solid 60 fps and i have to overclock but the device still runs fine and it still has the highest performance in benchmarks(without overclock) against all the new flagship android phones and tablets running in first place for almost 2 years while most devices outperform each other in mnonths
I honestly love apple's ipod touch series. so many nostalgia. my first device was ipod touch 4g, I was stunned when I played infinity blade on that thing...
i still have my 3rd gen. my first ever oficial purchase with my own money and my first ever piece of modern tech. for the first time in my life i had a product years ahead of the rest. i remember explaning everyone "its like an iphone but you cant make calls from it, and way cheaper". also explaning the appstore to my friends, i remember they just couldn't get it, how could i install and uninstall games so easy, and how good those games looked. everyone at that time was super in love with blackberrys.
back in December/January I actually watched this video to help me decide if I wanted to get a brand new iPod touch and I did and I got the 6th gen 32gb and very happy with it
I watched this video as the first video for me to watch. I subscribed to you right away because I'm a HUGE Fan of Apple iDevices. The iPods I have, compared to your video is an iPod 4 (8GB) and an iPod 6 (128GB). My iPod 4 (8GB) has the "Home" Button worn out (Which happened on Sunday, 11/22/2015 before an App was removed from the App Store on Monday, 11/30/2015.). Luckily I got the iPod 6 (128GB) later (In Late 2016) that has a working "Home" Button and a newer iOS Version. I'll tell you about my other iDevices in your other videos to compare with. :-D
I remember the ipod touch 2nd generation. When i first got it in like, 6th or 7th grade or something, i thought it was the fastest touch screen device. But now, the ipod touch took like, 2 minutes to go to an app.
Jon Evans Definitely in my view. Double the ram with ddr3 1 gig than the ddr2 512 of the iPod touch 5 with the latest A8 chip from the iPhone 6 compared with the 2011 A5 chip which is stale. Ios 9 is the iPod touch 5 final update so yes an upgrade would be beneficial including the upgraded camera and just faster responsiveness and smoothness
I have to 5g and I'm gonna buy the 6 because way more faster and I won't have to switch it for a while and I'm getting a 5c for my bday and everythingapplepro lol not to be rude but that iPod 6 is way too powerful to just be a music player just saying 😜
meanwhile some random day in May 2019... Apple: let's drop this iPod the speed of a 2016 iPhone with the cameras of a 2013 iPhone and a screen of a 2012 iPhone and the home button of a 2007 iPhone. me: dude this ipod is the same as the old one... what's the point of this pile of shit this was literally just a website update with the same iPod we've had since 2012.
Im still using a 2nd gen ipod touch, i use it mostly for music playback and seldom play games or watch videos on it since i do everything beside listening to music on my note 5
TBH I actually watched this video in my I pod touch 4 th gen and for me it's really slow. I would be amazed if someone is also using the 4 th gen I pod touch.
My first iPod was the iPod 2g it was the greatest apple device I ever owned. But a couple years later my parents offered my an iPhone 3. The only thing I had to do was give my iPod to my lil bro. So I accepted the deal I was very happy but at the same time a bit sad because I lost my iPod. Later that night my brother was playing with his iPod, he was dropping it and throwing it (with no case). It did not crack at all which I was surprised by. Then he started playing tug of war with it after a min or so he started biting it. After a couple mins of biting the cracks the screen BY FRICKIN BITING IT. The next day I see him dropping it on the concrete outside completely shattering the screen. Then I run outside to yell at him, he sees me then throws it. That throw took off 1/4 of the front glass and warping the back metal shell. He then tries to blame it on me but my parents see right through that lie, because they saw him. As being an Asian family my mom slapped him, they gave the iPod back and let my keep my phone. I still have it to this day
I had an iPod 4, with tons of songs, and I enjoyed it so much. One day, I left it on my charging dock, and my little brother wanted to play with it. I said no, but my mom said yes. After eating dinner, I found it in the toilet, because he lost fruit ninja. I yelled at him after that, My parents convinced me it still worked. It didn’t. After that though, my older brother got the 5th gen, and he gave me his 4th. So I synced all my music, and never trusted my brother with it again.
I remember when my mom got me the 4th gen iPod, I wanted the 5, but i don't even think she knew the difference. I still loved it though, I recently turned it on and it runs insanely slow. I still love it though.
I remember loading safari on my iPod 4. It would stop loading. I used to go for a run or something to let it load, but it still didn't. I love my iPod.
I used the 1st Gen IPod touch for a year from early 2012-2013. I Remember watching minecraft vids on it. It was so slow, but it was the only thing I had, so I loved it
Since this year that Apple made an iPod Touch 7TH Generation, which even though copies the 6TH Generation with an A10 Fusion Chip & up to 256GB of Storage, you should do another all iPod Touch Comparison Video with this time the 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, 6G, & the Brand New 7G, plus with the Drop Test, Water Test, etc. on all of them as well, including the Brand New iPod Touch 7TH Generation. Hopefully you can get to that 1 day this year. 🙂
Agree the 4th generation was the last best apple devices especially the iPhone 4 after Steve jobs died the new Apple devices just isn't the same and cool as its used to
My first iPod was the 4th generation I got it when I was either 5-7 years old (don’t remember exact age) and tbh even though it’s on iOS 6.1.6 it still works perfectly even though I never use now since I have an iPad and iPhone 7 ❤️
Same, though once I spit the dummy and tried to throw it on the bed, but fast balled it on the bed head, denting it and smashing the screen. Then updated to the 4th gen (then new). The 2nd gen still works perfectly, but retired it out of respect
