Is Col. Dugan the baddest Karate Kid villain? Ken Cole joins forces with Drew and Badway from ‪@Thelastrowpodcast‬ to officially rate Col. Dugan on The Villain Scale. Was Col. Dugan a worthy foe to Mr. Miyagi and Julie Pierce?
Col. Dugan is the main villain in The Next Karate Kid, played by Michael Ironside. He runs the Alpha Elite, a militarized group of hall monitors led by Ned, played by Michael Cavalieri. Col. Dugan is often rumored to appear in the Cobra Kai series.

I don’t think Dugan was a bad villain however to me he is just a watered down John Kreese and Dugan is leagues below Terry silver

I agree 100% with a fan theory that Dugan was the POW in the Vietnam flashback who won the fight on the bridge over the snake pit. I'd love to see him come back in season 6 of Cobra Kai to help Kreese out upon his escape from prison🤔

COBRA KAI 6 DOESN'T NEED ANY MORE OVERAGED SENIOR CITIZEN VILLAINS DURING THEIR VERY LAST SEASON. Unless it is a necessary CAMEO wherein Kreese or Silver visit Dugan in a retirement facility to gather valuable information or assistance from his group The Alpha Elites. The series creators would be much better off developing a sleeker and more dynamic young antagonist like LEO HOWARD as the lost, missing or unknown SON OF TERRY SILVER in preparation for The Sekai Taikai.

It's funny I just saw Michael Ironside in an Episode of Cold Case. Playing the Commendant or Commander of some Military Academy. I'm assuming he always gets type casted as such.

Kreese would dominate Dugan in a heartbeat, Dugan was less skilled in combat than Kreese was, Kreese was two time Karate champ!

Kinda ironic that all 3 (Silver, Kreese and Dugan) all served in Nam and all knew no mercy Karate 🤔

Dugan probably did serve in nam, but Dugan did not train in Karate, that was only Kreese and silver!

They should've let him get at least one hit off Miyagi. I think that would've established him as more of a badass and he would've done something that Kreese and Silver couldn't do. Even if it had just been a sucker punch or a sweep or a tackle or applied hold or something. That would've made him stand out more. IMHO

to be in special forces and miltary you need to learn all kinds of martial arts so it dont make sense for him to look so bad vs miyagi just like kreese.

Out of everyone from The Next Karate Kid I’m most excited to see Col Dugan come back the most, Michael Ironside much like Martin Kove and Thomas Ian Griffith have strong screen presence and Col Dugan has great potential to be even more crazy than he was in the 90s
