I'm not sure the dev team actually exists. In my mind the whole thing was made by unpaid interns by copy-pasting stuff from other games (badly... but unpaid, so it's great value), management team who were really happy about not spending money on development cause interns are free, and marketing team who "built from the ground up"
@ikondrift I have a serious thought on that as well. When they did their inside look ajd showed the team, none of them looked like people you'd see at a race track or even know what a shock absorber is or where Spa is located. They just look like hipsters out of college that wanted a job in game design and this is where they could get in and start. Nothing about this game feels like it was made by racing enthusiasts hence "Car-P-G"
Oh that answer is simple see your problem is applying a little nuisance called "logic" see this "logic" makes you think that great games made by caring developers would be a good thing and profitable. However, the horror couldn't be farther from the truth. Microsoft has to pay these greedy devs for making games to play and with no ongoing monetization model, they may have to "gasp" make a sequel resulting in more wages being spent. We can't have money being siphoned away from our hard working investors can we? Plus closing Hi Fi rush devs means all profits from the game go directly to the publisher and those nasty devs don't get steal any of Microsofts well deserved and owed money. However, Forza doesn't require a lot of these "devs" and they can rely on unpaid AI work to do the heavy lifting with an ongoing monetization model. Meaning more hands in the pockets of investors, as God intended. Hard work isn't rewarded, it's exploited and then diminished so that the elite can profit off of ill gotten gains.
What pisses me off the most is that they have the audacity to sell dozens of DLCs despite the base game being unfinished. I mean Ginetta GT4 for 2,99€, they charge you for a fucking Ginetta, the most generic GT car ever, not a car pack or new track, but one single fucking GINETTA car from 2019 for 2,99€, wtf is this crap.
Yeah this is so disrespectful towards the consumer. Also what I find weird is how only limited cars upto a point are included in the car pass but after that none are.
I enjoy GT7 on my PS4, have no issue with PC port EXCEPT! the possibility of hackers ruining the sport mode experience... If this happens they must be ready to instantly isolate PC lobbies from PS lobbies.
@@Vixen1525 GT Sport was given an offline patch so it is preserved and you can still play 90% of the game now. This is much better than Ubisoft completely shutting The Crew 1.
GT7 was exactly the same !! There was a lack of content and even the grinding you had to do was tweaked as more of the game was added via updatess and patches. Forza motorsport just followed the trend that GT set.
I've played FM '23 since launch and a lot of my issue is the lack of transparency from the dev team and why they say things then immediately back track on something. Literally this last update they're hinted at a spectate mode for private lobbies in one of the dev blog posts iirc a week ago and then the update releases and nothing I mean nothing was brought up about it. What's even more funny is that anything that has been spoken about it was removed or left out from any patch notes so I guess it wasn't ready to be added... I do a lot of league races within forza and I can still say there is a lot of gripes that people still have with this game that should be a non factor issue 6 months into this game's cycle. I can't backtrack my tire selections on pit road, I can't add more fuel than I already have in my tank if I select the same or less fuel amounts, I have issues with the balancing inside certain classes, There are still issues with PC that are still crashing people's games, and there are countless amount of bugs that are problems elsewhere within different parts of this game. I think there's a semi-recent youtube video where a ex-dev of forza motorsports that was pretty damning for the whole cycle of this game, he went on about how his dev phase went and explained to the viewers that there's literally a specific amount of time which is about 18 months they can work on the game until they have to take a 6 month break from the dev group unless they're signed on for a full-time contract which is pretty rare from what they youtuber was saying but the problem is that policy is in effect company wide for Microsoft. My entire issue with that is how are we expecting the game to even have a chance of turning around the game's bug and issue ridden state when you got people working for a year and a half and having to leave for a half year to do other things and with almost no chance of returning? In my honest opinion this game was DOA when we started seeing some of the early play tests where they had the forza areo still modeled from FM5 with the whole "Built from the ground up mantra". I can only hope they continue working their asses off on it to make any money spent on it worth a while but with a lack of people on it we can only hope that this game hit rock bottom and is on it's way up. I think we need a lot more transparency, a lot more time which for both I don't know how either will be dealt with. I can see a way out because they are doing some better work with a lot of these patch notes that are fixing some of these issues but I think this game needs a overhaul and until that happens I don't see the expected amount of player's playing the game at the moment and even if a overhaul that is needed happens who knows is that'll add in new issues performance and over all game play wise.
It's the only motorsport sim on PC that has the ability to modify and tune your own ride. However, the AI still stink. Still break check at slow corners for no reason. And Online Racing lacks setting up your own races. The only hope for that would be the upcoming Assetta Corsa 2. However one didn't have car modifications.
I paid 100 bucks for the early release. The online was never fun no matter how hard i tried to get into it, controls are slow snd shitty on purpose. So many small and big bugs ruined it. I removed it from my steam account so id never get bored snd install it again.
This is not the only developer who is failing; more and more companies are releasing games unfinished and expecting the user to pay for a game that they have lied about. Forza Motorsport is a shell of its former self. Forza Motorsport 6 was good, 7 is a flop, and 8 is a train wreck.
Being a big fan of the forza horizon franchise, I really thought I would like motorsport , more of a simulation type driving . It was a disaster , from not being able to load car sponsors decals to getting kicked from the game or freezing, Motorsport has a long way to go to catch Gran Turismo
I would still say play AMS2. You wont get customization. But if you're looking for anything track related. Thats your ticket without having to deal with ACs nonsense.
Thank you, the answer I was looking for. Gutted this game was so dull, soulless and broken. "built from the ground up" yeah right. I think they've actually damaged the Forza brand with this game. Having played all the other Forzas and loved them, I got a Series X on launch hoping for this, then two years later it dropped and it's shite. Ugh.
I´d love to have a proper music set, like FM7. Some genres like house, electronic, electric guitar improvisation, rock, all instrumental. Not the most important thing of course, but it shows that this game didn´t get all the love it really deserved.
@@alexn.t.6344 yeah now you mention it, the music in FM 2023 is really uneventful and actually I never even felt like any music of worth was even playing in the background while racing.
I love FM, since the first part! I play it weekly…. And? And? And? The game still crashes when I finish ANY racing event. Now in month 6 seeing Sebring is a slap I’m ones face! It feels they’ve never worked “years” on rewriting the game engine but started last summer instead….
@@Atonam_real I bought GT7 a few months ago, it has some issues but it's still an amazing game. Overall, I would say it has a lot more character and personality than Forza Motorsport
At least I have ACC, AC, and some other ones to play. However I can’t get into that monthly featured thing they are doing that is supposed to be like FH5 festival playlist. I’m already doing the festival playlist (which FH5 has been getting far better so that’s why I still play it and for cruising), but FM is just meh. It feels so bland to me. The AI is eh, everything is eh. I had so much hope for this game, the physics are good at least from my experience. It’s not horrible. But I don’t know why I cannot get myself to play this game much. When I have others that are just far better than it. It honestly sucks.
Yeah I agree. Even though they are fundamentally different games, Forza Horizon 5 is so much more complete and content rich than Forza Motorsport 2023 and gets so many amazing monthly updates jam packed with content.
I didn’t buy it at release. Waited till end of April 2024. I’ve played most of the Horizons, Motorsports and GTs. The current Motorsport feel rather boring for being a “new”, current gen only console game. Motorsport 7 was fantastic, fun, with plenty to do. The current Motorsport feels like a lot less game. I am enjoying it a bit, but feel like there should be more…..
Only playing it sparingly now to get the 935. Timegated races/limited time series are junk. Most car models junk. Paint options junk. FH5 is better just doesn't feel as good to drive the cars.
Tried to play on the gamepass, the lock to lock steering is very bad (even more then F1 24) Counter steer is not existent basically and the car felt way worse then in GT7 Huge disappointment
Although my opinion on this game is at the opposite, It's always nice to look at a different point of view. You have elaborated on car progression, track and cars details, AI, I'm wondering if you have some additional comments on pure gameplay. That's an important tooic to evaluate in a game. Do the issues you detecteed ruin the gameplay? Or maybe the gameplay is boring by itself, regardless of other issues?
I think the handling in the game is really good on the controller, not so good on the wheel. But the game itself feels extremely boring to me. The single player just feels very incoherent and makes me wonder why am I even playing. There is no sense of progression or achievement, only a sense of grinding, at least for me. Like you look at Gran Turismo 7 and then that game has the cafe and every race series has so much information and love put in about the cars you are driving, it makes you feel that you are doing something and progression means something.
Chances are there is huge D&I invasion in the workplace and diversity hires equating in a “Fairer” workplace but poorer quality as the passion has been replaced by equality …. Which is fine but telnet and the passion falls by the way side. I honestly don’t feel like this game was made by race car enthusiasts.
I’ve played every FM since the first and this game killed the series for me. Forza Horizon is so good and blew up in popularity taking all the casual players that used to also buy and play Forza Motorsport. T10 had like 6 years to build this game and they just shit it out instead with bugs and lies that everyone immediately saw at release.
So im just gonna not spend the $87 on the premium. Im playing H5 which i love but im just wanting more realistic aggressive looks. Yall crushing me. 8 spent so much on the modern warfare and its full of crap im just feeding my xbox all the money.
I recommend Gran Turismo 7 if you have a Playstation console my friend. It's not perfect but leagues better than Forza Motosport imo. Which also broke my heart considering its the first GT game I played but I have played every Forza game in existence and am a massive Forza fan.
I own every Forza made, and have been active on the forums. I was asked to complete a survey and my comment to them was just dont make it a grind. I used to be a huge GT player but it defined stingy economy/grindy, IMO. I purchased it pre-release so excited since it had been so long since a new game. All the talk of ground up had me considering building a new PC. Thinking that we will see how it runs, I will wait and see. I am glad I did. They botched this so BAD. Not ground up, buggy, awful AI, GRINDY..........GRINDY. I dont want to have to grind that hard, I dont have the time anymore. I have less than 3 hrs on this game and I had more than that on all the other Forza titles in one sitting. Being on PC, there are other titles that are better with less heartache. Turn 10 took my money, although they are trying to make it better, they have ruined one of my favorite gaming experiences. No real apologies, no real remedy for the grindy nature/low payouts as you mentioned. That is why I always get VIP for good payouts, but I think VIP pays out what the old version did for a non VIP player. I quit trying after the first couple patches, I hope they get the message the community is sending soon, hopefully Dan can get the ship righted.
Devs make games grindy to make us keep playing but theyu forget the most basic thing, all u need is a good game and gamers will keep playing it anyway.
@@TheSupremeMedjay Absolutely!! Look at Team Fortress, people keep playing a game if it is good. IMO, I think they made grindy for a monetization strategy to be implemented later. IDK, I might be wrong but the other titles were not this bad. Well, at least with VIP. Good video my friend. Subscribed. धन्यवाद
This game was a huge disappointment, I was really looking forward to this game but it’s must a disaster. I got a refund and I’ll never buy it or play it again
I just shared an image of Forza Motorsport 2 from the welcome and vision page in the collectors edition book because that's when the franchise had passion and soul! I wish this returned in the new games and it didn't! Great video and thank you for helping me decide if I should or shouldn't return to the new Forza! Keep up the great work, you have earned my sub good sir! 🙏
I can't quite explain it but something doesn't feel right, the driving feels wrong, GRAN TURISMO feels and looks amazing on yt, this feels off, the cars feel like they respond with a huge delay, it ls something you would expect from boats
The game was terrible at launch but its better now, still needs some tweaks to a few things though. But the worst part is the lack of content still. Even after update 8 which didnt even include a track, we still barely have any new cars or past forza racing cars that would fit in. They just slowly drip feeding some mid level cars with the occasional heavy hitter.
This new game era dont make sense. I believe developers loose their creators to the new wave of glitches and cheating.giving up bluepeints. Like if someone from apple tech is there just to learn and sell the sauce and do their own thing. Having to keep up wirh cheaters and fix game cant be easy i doubt they're dropping the ball like this carelessly. Maybe someone screwed em thats usually what happens when something so great is sabotaged 8
I bought this, being all excited. And bear in mind everything I say below is just my opinion. I was so horrendously disappointed. I still am. Forza Motorsport 4 was the last one I played and even going back to it now the differences are staggering. FM4 had a sense of reverence and excitement about cars. It had a nice, fun singleplayer mode with a sense of progression. The nice little touches like having Jeremy Clarkson voice presentations about certain vehicles and just the utter sense of class the game had was fantastic. Forza Motorsport 2023 is just... absolute shite. I'm sorry.
I genuinely feel like im the only one who kinda likes it, i will admit at launch was a disaster and it still has its issues and lacks content and there are so many dope brand new cars that arent in the game but all in all i think it looks pretty good and the cars feel great to drive and the physics are probably the best out of any motorsport game i think. One other complaint i would have would be the cars sounds, not gonna lie some sound great but youll notice they have alot of recycled generic cars sounds and some cars dont even sound remotely close to the real thing. I just hope they dont give up on it cuz i think with enough love and attention it has potential to be pretty solid.
I always come back to these types of videos whenever I hear people talking shit about racing games from the past. Like people are pretending that NFS Shift 1 and 2 were REALLY that "bad" back then and not truly ahead of their time like they've always been (I miss the year 2012 so much). Well guess what now buddy, LOOK AT THIS!!!
@@TheSupremeMedjay Exactly! That's what I've been saying lmao, people looking down on games of the past that are arguably even miles better than what Turn 10 did recently.🤣🤣Good thing I refused to preorder FM, otherwise that's $$$ down the drain.
@@TheSupremeMedjay Oh yeah I played FM4 and 2 during the pandemic days. Truly one of the times I've had fun while being locked inside. I even occasionally play AC as well.
Game is not trash. If you are into multiplayer racing and nothing too serious its a good game for that. Not everyone is a sweaty sim racer and forza has made steps to inprove the main issues. The comments here qnd everywhere else are so ridiculous. The game is not that bad.
The game is that bad. A terrible "progression" system, no content, and rotates multiplayer races? Not to mention all the bugs, that they are still trying to fix. This isn't just a bad forza game, it is a terrible racing game. I just ordered another copy of forza motorsport 4, because that is an actual racing game. They really destroyed this francise.
