Is Guts Going to Use His Behelit? This Unsolved Berserk Mystery Could Alter The Entire Series

I saw a reddit post that guts shoves the behilt into his broken eye to see causality.

I think the point of the story is that Guts *could* use the behelit, in a move that would mirror Griffith, but decides he won't. It seems like the arc he's going on is about learning to value the relationships that he's made rather than a suicide mission. It's possible that he will use it, but I think that choice would lead to a lot of unsatisfying endings that betray what has been established. Or, worse, some sort of awful asspull where he overcomes the power of the behelit with a deus ex machina.

Puck is more likely to use it than anyone. Dude thinks it's his.

What if he sacrifices his quest for vengeance? Maybe it would undo the eclipse and it can end with the band of the hawk leaving Griffith in the dungeon to rot or in the abyss.

My prediction: the behelit will at some point involuntarily react to him. Maybe in a situation against all odds, when he's at the brink of defeat or the armor is close ot absorb what's left of his will/mind. And i think the behelit will laugh... laugh in the face of someone fighting destiny and god-like beings.

Ever since he spoke to Flora, I’ve been wondering if he’d use it just to trick them into thinking he’s joining them. It would be an interesting thing if that’s where this goes.

Will he use it? Possibly. We seen the face configuring when Slan was slicing him up. Will he use it to become an apostle? Fuck no, defeats the purpose of Guts. And would make no sense.

But maybe he will use it to fight guts, or what i think, use it to protect his sister and maybe become a badass for a bit and help Guts make his way thru w.e griff throws at em? While my knowledge of berserk are based on these videos, I think Guts might fuse the behelit with the berserk armor if it is possible and with the the armor might give Guts the ability to transform into a demon but with the penalty of exhausting him even more or it might remove the side effect of the berserk armor and give him the ability of seeing the astral plane

Here…I’ll give you the ending I think: *I think the author didn’t want an ending, I think he wanted us to know that bad shit happens and we have no control over it, we get out of bad shit and good things happen but it’s just luck; when chance meets opportunity.* There is no such thing as fate. Void believes there is but there isn’t. The Idea of Evil was created by all mankind. So….if the idea of evil was created by all mankind, if mankind were wiped from the earth then the Idea of evil would be destroyed. Griffith, finding this out in chapter 83 is the reason the Author deleted that chapter later. It gives away the ending. Griffith wants to bring everyone on earth to one point on earth and then sacrifice them all. If he can sacrifice them all then there would be no power for the Idea of evil. No power for the idea of evil means no power for the Godhand. No power no existence. No existence no evil. The exception would be Griffith and Casca. Griffith wants to start over. Guts will eventually figure out Griffith’s plot but will disagree because Guts believes in true justice which means actions must be justified or there must be punishment. Griffith believes in the same end result regardless of how it is obtained. If guts is allowed to use his Behelit, he would sacrifice Griffith along with the Godhand, making him the only Godhand member and therefore possibly capable of destroying the Idea of evil himself. This may either destroy him in the end or if he can kill the idea of evil it may destroy evil altogether and rescue everyone. Maybe even return the Godhand back to their mortal form. Remember most if not all Godhand were good people. Why? Because in order to become a Godhand you had to sacrifice more than an apostle and it had to be something close to you and more than normal. So the people you sacrifice had to be good in your eyes. Godhands sacrificed many people meaning they believed in good.

I think guts will go the route of skull knight, and he will fuse his dragonslayer with the behilit to make his own weapon.

I really like what you said near the end a situation where guts is wearing the berserker armor and is very desperate to win is possible and out of desperation he will involuntarily use it he beats whoever he’s fighting and then he wakes up with everyone dead around him

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out Death knight was a future version of Guts that used the behilef(how ever you spell the demon egg) and is trying in his power to get the "past" Guts to not use it to give him a better future

When Skull Knight tried to use the Sword of Actuation against Femto and failed, I sort of thought that was the end of hope; if SK with the SoA couldn't harm the Godhand, what could? So I like the idea that Guts will eventually use the SoA in a manner that the Godhand isn't prepared for. That could be a way for the Godhand to take serious damage.

After experiencing the eclipse firsthand I highly doubt he would ever choose that path. On the off chance he does make use of it in some fashion, I'd think it would be something similar to whatever skull knight did to make a weapon out of behelits.

I think he might merge the behelit with the berserker armour. Making like a crimson armour or something.

I think ultimately, he will be presented a choice to sacrifice, and do something completely unexpected. Imagine the God Hand demanding that which is closest to him, and he offers up his rage. Nothing can be closer than part of yourself, so would meet the qualifications, but is so out of scope for what the God Hand stand for it breaks the paradigms around them.

Rather than a sword or dagger I think he could fuse it into the berserker armor instead boosting its power by giving it a faint but direct connection to astral energy. How this could effect is unclear because the rage of the beast could fight the god hand for control over guts allowing him to suppress both while using the armor giving him the control he needs to stand closer to the god hand and potentially the ability to wield the skull knights sword

If gutz does use it. It would be after he's either destroyed the God hand or enough of the God hand to destroy the rest of them. Right now, his will remain in the Gutz paradox.

I’ve read parts and pieces of Berserk but it’s been so long and newer parts I’ve not touched. I’d not known or remembered that the balut may not belong to whoever possesses at any given time and that it will “find” its owner when the time is right. A perfect ending arc I think would put it in Casca’s hands right after or during the final showdown Guts and Griffin. But when she unlocked its power instead of becoming a demon or Godhand she’d instead become an Angel or God of light 😮. They’d have some deep half book explanation of why she’s different and instead transcends to Godhood to be able to fight and vanquish Griffin and the rest thus saving humanity from all magical forces for good. But she does have to make one sacrifice, Guts. And it’s that she can never be with him. Guts has to force her to make the choice, one last kiss and Guts is transformed into a white shining paladin who cuts down Griffin with Casca as his energy source.

I don't read the manga, I saw the original anime years ago and I get most new information from videos like this. I also know that a behelit isn't a genie in a lamp. When it's used the god hand appear and make an offer. Now I'm going to contradict all of that and say, what if Guts used the behelit not to make himself stronger but make Griffith weaker. Bring him down to the power of a regular apostle. The only way this could happen is if Guts put all his skill points into wisdom and charisma and did some really impressive word play. If it did happen Slan, and maybe another godhand, would have to speak up on Guts' behalf. Not a chance of it happening but it was the first thing I thought of.

I don't think he will turn into an apostle. He'll use it as a trap when he's at his lowest in a suicide mission to summon the godhand. But then his ckmpanions will appear and help him turn them down. I just hope it doesn't have a cheesey, lazy, happily ever after ending.

Perhaps Guts’s behelit has a special function to dethrone a member of the Godhand.

The behelit that guts has was the counts right and if it is then he won’t be able to use it cause it only responds to him and his desires in moments of absolute desperation or when their desire reaches new peaks And also guts has been branded and can’t as said by a member of the god hand that he’d make a fine apostle though he has already become a sacrifice

Guts has to be tempted to use it at some lowest point, to narratively contrast him against Griffith. And then for funsies, he will use it in some sort of trap/bait/ruse.

I feel as if it would activate automatically when he's in the Berserker armor his emotions are running wild and the blood seeping out of the Berserker armor would activate it but he has to willingly say he wants to sacrifice and besides Conrad said there's no possible way he could become an apostle he's not that evil

If there is some correlation between desire for strength and willpower when powering yourself into a demon guts would probably be the strongest maybe even on par with the hand

I hate seeing people always commenting that "branded" individuals cant use a behelit. It never says that in the manga. When the Slug Count tries to sacrifice Guts in Guardian Angels of Desire The Godhand turn him down becuase Guts soul was already claimed for the sacrifice which caused the advent of Femto. People always get this part wrong. They just cuase hes already sacrificed during the eclipse that it also means he cant use an behilt himself. It never says he cant, and Slan even tells him to do it as shes beating him while in the form of the troll guts. If you recall "bechy" as its referred to face even rearranged as if it were about to activate. So with that said i dont think hell use it i think Casca will.

Why would Guts use the Behelit? He hates demons and to use the Behelit means he'd become an Apostle only to serve the Godhand... this would not put him on even footing with Griffith/Femto, quite the contrary-it'd mean Griffith would "own" him again... also, who would he sacrifice? Casca? his current comrades? doing that would make him no different than Griffith-it would make his entire arc completely pointless and hypocritical... I can't see this being his next move but... stranger things may happen

I think if he can use it, and sacrifice anyone it would be Griffith. I know there is a lot of rage in his heart for him now so much so that it consumes him at times but its because he trusted and loved Griffith so much that the betrayal was lifechanging even without the context of the godhand or sacrifice being involved. Guts was devoted to this man and wanted to be his equal, and a sacrifice cannot be used twice so casca and his own flesh are off the table. There are no rule stating an apostle can't be sacrificed. Additionally I don't think Guts would subject anyone else to that fate except Griffith even if it meant giving up his own life.

People who are branded can't use Behelit's because their souls belong to the brander. The Behelit Is Isidro's He's going to use it while their trying to save Casca but Isidro is beaten by an apstole during the mission and nearly killed and to win he uses it.

What if, Guts uses the Behelit but sacrifices his don with Casca, the earthly body of Griffith right now. If Guts retains somehow the embers of friendship he had with Griffith. One cannot say Griffith is not an important figure for Guts even after the betrayal.

No but Casca will. After all there is no guarantee that it belongs to Guts. Imagine him finally reuniting with Casca only for her to have joined Griffiths side. With it she would sacrifice her former friends. Guts broken and betrayed would have nothing to hold on to, plenty enough reason to go Berserk.

My guess is the amor he has is killing he’s body slowly and he’s becoming very weak. Yes, without question. The Berserker armor is killing Guts. He can barely beat Grunbeld. Guts has been carrying the same Behelit since the Eclipse for a reason. The only alternative is witchcraft. Griffith/Femto immediately went after Flora and obliterated Elfhelm because he is afraid of them.
