As a Clipper fan, love this podcast. It is spot on. If you're a Clipper role player you've got to be fed up. @@KP-st6gi the way he coaches, makes his players injury prone. He basically says, yo you're gonna score, dump the ball to you, and go get a bucket, w/ barely any plays written or offensive schemes. Anytime they score, it's because their players over tax their bodies, they don't get any easy buckets, and it's miracle contested jumpshots, everytime.

I think it was back in the 80's or early 90's where Vic The Brick did this segment on whatever network channel he was on where he rearranged C-L-I-P-P-E-R-S to C-R-I-P-P-L-E-S. That was when Danny Manning and Ron Harper were going down with ACL's along with other constant injuries to other key players. Simmons did this Clippers renaming podcast years ago that they should revisit. One of them was something like the Hollywood Knights and I think the Blockbusters. Clippers should take a look at that. Mmm, there's a huge rewriting of history with that team. In 2012, they just got smoked by the Spurs. No real excuses there aside from just not being good enough to compete with the Spurs. In 2013, Griffin went down in Game 5 I think, but the Grizz had already shown they were better. It was pretty obvious the Clippers weren't ready for that physicality. Griffin was getting manhandled. Those Grizz were no joke especially in the paint, which is where Jordan and Griffin tended to be most effective. In 2014, there were no injuries. The Clippers just got beat. In 2015 CP3 went down for Games 1 and 2, but they won 1 of them. The Clippers were up 3-1 and just ended up choking the rest of the series while completely healthy. The devastating injuries really happened in 2016 and 2017... but by then, the Golden State dynasty was in full swing and it was over for the Clippers anyway.

Nothing but love for what Kawhi did in Toronto (as a fan geographically removed from Toronto but always having a home there, I know Raptors fans will always remember him for what he did) But the Clippers, to make the pairing with Paul George happen, had to give up SGA & all those picks & it just didn't work. I can totally understand going for it, but in comparison, the Raptors gave up much less and got that championship. We got lucky it worked for us with the injuries to GSW combined with the exceptional play from the Raptors. It's time to save the salary cap, and bring in new folks that are more durable. Kawhi's a great player, but he's on his last leg. And because of this, I didn't renew my season tickets.

Season tickets for the Clippers was your first bad move. Kawhi and PG both stay hurt. Shame on the Clippers. You knew this guy was hurt what were you thinking. You guys both hit it on the head the Clippers are screwed. The Ringer continues to be on point. Maybe some of these owners and GM's might want to subscribe to the Podcast.

Get out of LA 50 years of this I don't know what else to say Kawhi Leonard knee was shot when he first signed with them Steve Bahmer is just some billionaire that's don't know how to run a NBA Team yes he's better than Donald Sterling but the Curse continues Because he signed two guys that there injury history is serious Kawhi Leonard and Paul George legs just can't hold up the Clippers as a organization have seen there players just fall with terrible injuries Danny Manning Livingston Candyman Steve Bahmer should just get them out of LA this organization need a break 50 years of being the Lakers stepchild should be enough

The window is closed. It’s foolish to just pin this on Kawhi Leonard. The Brooklyn Nets are a prime example of catering to stars. The Clippers are paying $90M per season for 2 injury prone players. Impossible to build any depth and title contender when 2 best players are taking up THAT much cap space.

I miss NBA stars playing 70+ games. The game is more foul prone and less physical, has fewer back to backs and a week long all star break yet stars still sit out for rest. I know money is a big factor but a successful business gives the customer what they want.

The Clippers did the same thing with Blake. Gave him a big contract(likely knowing he was on the way down), then they traded him in less than 12 months. Who would be interested in Kawhi at $45 mil/year for the next 4 years if he can only play 40 games per year?
