Society today pushes womanhood and manhood to be pure femininity/masculinity. But that is hard for human beings to maintain. Gender roles should be reactionary to the attributes of the genders/sexes. If you look at yin and Yang☯️ you’ll see that each half as a bit of the opposite energy for balance we not purely one energy. Yin yang represents the pair in balance and interdependence. We’re not half masculine and half feminine(our bodies would reflect that since they are how we express our energy) ,but we do have both energies and our gender roles should reflect that. No one should be denying part of themselves to for a mold.

Its hard to be courageous in being yourself. There are so many people that are fundamentally afraid of what they are and how they are because of the other insecure people who are inable to accept that someone could be emotionally mature and still be masculine. Its a crazy cat and mouse chase for societal acceptance.

we seem to be raising boys to be boys instead of raising them to be and think like men in part due to the immature role models in society today including rappers, sports stars, and entertainers. For example Jay z, usher, wheezy, any of the athletes, or entertainers. It's been a long time since we saw a high prevalence of good men role models.

NO , There isn't! Now a days everyone and every group wants to be a victim.

I do not agree the perspective this man is coming from. I do agree that masculinity is a skill, a tool and women can use this tool just like men. The issue is men and women are different. It is totally fine for a man to be emotional, but it is different than how a woman is emotional. As far as raising Boys vs. Girls, a man generally (I believe) is more lenient on the daughter as opposed to the son. I also believe the moms baby the sons and are tougher on the daughters, not vice versa. The reason men are not out here protecting random women, is because they have too much to lose. Why should a random man intervene between an altercation between a couple? He risks injury and harm...for a stranger, no sir. We all know a woman who has gotten into an argument and call another man to finish the altercation on her behalf. No sir, not worth it at all. The world is hard and cruel and will not have sympathy for a man, and fathers try to get their son/s ready for this. There is a different kind of nurturing that has to go on and it's not the same as a women or a daughter would get.
