Director Andy Muschietti brings Stephen King's iconic novel to life in IT (2017). IT was was the second adaptation of King's novel, the first being the 1990 miniseries starring Tim Curry as Pennywise. IT (2017) is one of the highest grossing R-rated films of all time and was soon followed up by the less successful IT CHAPTER TWO in 2019.
This iconic scene gives us our first look at the reimagined Pennywise, played by Bill Skarsgård. It sticks very close to King's novel, giving us a glimpse of the terror that's about to be visited upon the Losers Club.
