This is good. I can smell the memories. It was the year 2002, my family and I moved to the U. S and i barely spoke any english. I started going to high school that same year. I sometimes was too embarrassed to take the bus that would drive me home. Instead i would walk and on the way home i would go to the now extinct EB games. I remember seeing the artwork on the box of circle of the moon. And i do not know why it caught my attention. Needless to say i bought a used copy of the game. Finished it at least twice before realizing that if you combined two cards you could get different abilities. I ended up losing my copy of the game when were moving to a different house. I can not wait to hear the sound those doors made every time you enter a new area and defeating dracula once again.
@@stephenaremu78 I feel like the smaller amount of programing work required for this gba collections suits them , but i just dont see them putting the work required in for the DS collection. If they go ahead and do it that would be great though
you are the best review on youtube... all other reviews either don't talk about the extra features or ONLY talk about them, they don't show them which I've been looking for an in-depth features review... I've played the three metroidvanias in this collection I wanted to know what was added... so thank you for explaining the features.
I found it disappointing that Dracula X wasn't included in the Anniversary collection so it's really cool to see it here. I think Aria of Sorrow is my favourite from this collection, I miss the traditional whip but the game plays so well and has brilliant music I can still enjoy it regardless.
@@AnimeGamer75 I am aware I own it but much prefer to play it on original cart and snes. But cool these collections exist so everyone can have access to it without having to pay crazy prices.
This game also has rewind feature so when you make a mistake, you can rewind for at least a few seconds. Makes Harmony of Dissonance more easier along with other games in this collection.

I'm glad these are getting the console love and the collection looks like it fixed the one issue I was dreading which was they cleaned and increased the resolution. I hope a DS collection comes soon maybe with the Rondo of blood remake too.
Brilliant, Castlevania is a classic video game series Vampires Kiss is brutally difficult though (I personally prefer Super Castlevania 4, SOTN and New Generation). The others are top quality though.

Castlevania sotn and all the metroid style games in the series are my favourite games of all time. I have beaten sotn dozens of times and these gba titles many times also.Glad you like these, awesome.

how could you not mention the gadget option in the menu they added? It made the game much much better. No longer have to deal with the stupid soul drops which was insane back in the day
I played Actraiser last night for 2.5hrs. Still has that “can’t put it down” ascetic like the old one. Having the SNES cart (my favorite!) and playing this new one, I have to say…BUY IT if your a fan. The map is AMAZING. The music is still prime, but I found myself switching back and forth from old to new (you can do that!) with ease. It is a much deeper experience on this one with added things here and there, so I won’t spoil it. However, I think the stability is a bit off, but a patch can fix that. Totally worth it, so BUY BUY BUY!
I'm as EXCITED as you are. I love SOTN. But never had an Advance and Advance emulation is terrible. So glad this came to light. Gonna buy on Switch and XB1

I may like classic Castlevania games from NES, i may enjoy Symphony of the Night But i LOOOOOOVE the Advance games. Especially Circle of the Moon for some odd reason 😅
I have been considering getting the Konami Castlevania double pack for GBA for a while now. It is currently going for around a hundred bucks on eBay and I just have not pulled the trigger on that one. Even though it is not physical I am glad that on the switch I have this great opportunity to pick up this Castlevania Advance collection. I have already played circle of the Moon and Aria of Sorrow but when I get this game I'll probably start and play them in order ❤️
Nice but I'll stick to emulating these on my modded Wii U as the anti analysing is much better then those blown up pixel optons on the big screen plus rom mods like Aria of Sorrow - Small Improvements mod goes along way with these games.

im playing using a crt filter with the reshade tool. it works great and feels like im on gba 20 years ago while playing circle of the moon. without crt filter the pixels just pop too much out on gba stuff for me.
Uggg I struggled through Vampires Kiss with the good ending last year on SNES (the final battle with drac is nowhere near as hard as people say, but the game is pretty jank - no invincibility frames so you can get juggled) going to have to do it again now for the Platinum 😂😂👍
