I Miss the Nights Drivin down the Higway With Owls Smasin into the Windscreen and a 100 Sheep on the Road round the Corner with No Where to go and their little feet slippin on the asfalt as their tryin to run of but are just running on the spot and then the truck bouncin all over the place bcos they have lots of wool ont hem still.

34:50 Just the Facts: Sounds like @ 90 hours of work among you for 62 box @ 230 gallons of honey. Took 9 people (@ 54 people hours) to process @ 3000 lbs of honey. Those are big and productive numbers. Love the videos. You all are great. Congrats

Hi Jeff, Was this year one of your better years for getting honey, everyone I watch on youtube said this was one of the best years in a long time for getting a lot of honey.

I love your attitude. I would not have had the presence of mind to consider a blowout on my new tires to be a blessing. I remember the story of St Lucia because, after she was denounced and sentenced to work in a brothel, they couldn't move her with a team of oxen.

cool, got honey supers and a pan full of chanterelles... makes a good dinner or lunch. just fry them with a bit of good oil salt peper garlic and some thyme ... served with some pennen...

It's interesting that bee colonies can live so close to each other and not go to war with each other due to greed. And it looks like beekeepers like you are rewarded for taking care of the colonies. I like bees. Have a good weekend Jeff.

Mr Ed, you certainly have some beautiful frames of honey. Some folks have no idea how much work there is involved with beekeeping. Just to harvest and bottle the honey is a major job not even considering tending to the bees the rest of the year. Then folks balk at the price of honey. Thanks for the video!

Please show more opening of those boxes when you visit the different sites. It really is interesting to many of us and you passed over that on some sites just showing the outside of the boxes. Beautiful scenery but we really want to see the nitty-gritty (hard work).

Don't stew the chanterelles! Clean them dry with a brush, slice them, and fry them with thinly cut pancetta or smoked bacon in a bit of butter. Eat them with fresh white bread, or over meat or pasta. Best way to eat them. Swiss style. A simple French cream sauce works as well.

In regard to how much honey they need over the winter, I saw a beekeeping video where a guy reduced their need for honey by insulating his hives really well. He was living by the Canadian border.

300ft high, wow. the road I use for my cabin rises 800 ft within a mile leaving another 200 until the top of the hill at 1800 some ft. now a 300 ft elevation and flat areas reminds me of living in central TX.

In Sweden those Chantarels called Kantareller cost $5 per 100grams (about $25 per pound). They can be stewed, fried in butter and delicious fried alongside a steak or a roast. That was a goldmine you were standing on.

In my head I see a swarm leaving the hive and setting up somewhere new and then bumping into their old hive mates and telling them about their new place and the old hive mate saying 'wait. You swarmed? But we swarmed too. So who's looking after the old place? Doh!' (2) This is my pal Julio. He wants to get into bees too. Cue screams of pain followed by Mr Ed laughing at him and going 'Ha ha look at all those stings!' Thataboy Jeff.. full of encouragement, teach em the hard way. (3) 'Brother Jeremiah ! wake up!' 'What is it Brother Toby? Its only 4.36am! Go back to sleep!' 'But I hear loud noises and people talking outside. I think we've got intruders!' Brother Toby peers out through the curtains.. 'Nah, it's that crazy bee man again. He's up doing his videos in the yard. I'll chuck a sandal at him. Maybe he'll quieten down!' (4) St Lucy Yard...
