Judge Pirro was really annoying in this case. How you gonna ask the guy questions, interrupt him while he's answering, and then get mad when he's trying to interject to address your response?

He's right about CA DMV. They will suspend, or prevent you from getting, your license for unpaid tickets, even if they aren't driving-related. She lost points with me for making fun of him like he made it up.

Cases like this make me doubt the ability and knowledge judges have regarding the law. In California, there are Daytime Curfew and Nighttime Curfew laws. And, if the violator becomes a repeat offender, they are charged with a crime. So, no, judge. There isn't a national database for curfew breakers, but there is a national database for lawbreakers.

Funny how it is ok for the female to interrupt and judge issues no warnings but when the male does it there is a stern warning and eventual dismissal. I hate inconsistency in the court room. I hate discriminatory practices. This judge is fair on most occasions but that entertainment display was shameful when not being consistent with the woman as well.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. When I was 13 I lived very far from school and the bus' didn't go anywhere near my house. My parents worked and so they let me drive our beater car that no one was using. I already knew how to drive so it wasn't that big of a deal and I was a much safer driver than i am now with my license cause I knew if I messed up I'd be in deep trouble.

Kate Marsh idk about that, but where i am (suburbs of chicago) we spent 2-3 weeks going over how to write checks and writing statements and all that bank stuff, he obviously either didnt pay attention or didnt go during that bit or his school didnt offer it
nhuKer we never learned how to do things like that. Our school system here was a mess when I was in school. I graduated from high school 17 years ago. I can't imagine how screwed up it is now. Judging how the younger generation spells, the education system is one giant failure.

+eddson11 she had a gun which she never used (i mean to have it in her purse for protection) and she bought it with the black guy. Propably she took it for him.. You can do anything you want with the gun and if police find it (away from the black guy), she would tell them that she lost it 1 day before, been in a full time job etc, police won't do anything to her and the black guy would be free too

+eddson11 if your gun is stolen and it's been used to shoot someone you will get brought it and then you have to prove that it was stolen but I don't know if you get it trouble because a lot of people just have guns incase of a intruder. moral of the story keep up with your guns and make sure you have all of them.
+eddson11 Not at all. You are responsible for the gun once you take ownership of it like anything you take possession of (a coffee pot for example). Contrary to common belief, most gun owners do not handle (fondle?) their guns on a daily basis. I would know when my carry gun disappeared because I carry everyday. I would probably not know my bed side gun disappeared between mag swaps. Reporting a gun missing will vary from state to state. Most gun owners recognize that a missing gun should be reported to the police just for self protection in case it is used in a crime. Keep in mind though, there is no database on guns, so chasing down a serial number is not a trivial thing.
Guns are for self defense for the most part doesn't matter where you work if you don't have a criminal record and pass the background check you get a concealed carry permit here in Alabama
This judge is fuckin hard of hearing, they've been telling her he was jailed Twice & Once bailed out by the aunt & she keeps asking how is she owed for bail money. She Talks too much interupts too much then has trouble understanding the case.
Not true. There are curfew laws in California in which you can and will get a ticket for. The aunt confirmed that he was only in jail for @ 10-15 mins. And, she confirmed that she didn't bail him out the first time he went to jail.

More people need to know the law. Driving with out a license is not Probable Cause for an on site search *with out consent*. If the car is impounded it is possible for them to get a warrant with the given situation.
No one's throwing the race card. Some cops do stop minorities based on racial stereotypes. Case and point: Look at the number of minorities acquitted per year for crimes they were falsely accused of.
Obviously this is just entertainment since people are watching it to laugh. This judge clearly not even listing to what the guy is saying. The case doesn't make sense, first thing about the gun, he said she leave it out on the bed and in her purse. She didn't put that in consideration, if he stole the gun why would he take it just to put it in the trunk of the car? The car it's self, did anyone say he stole the car? No uhmm then someone let him drive that car and if it was his cousin car then there should been more questions. The question at the end why didn't you go get the gun? Her response was he's still gonna get charged, but she wants money back from the gun? Why is she talking about him when she's asking why didn't go get your gun? But this is stupid because she constantly talking over this man and get mad at him for already talking trying to tell his side. Then kicks him out for talking over talking her when she wasn't even talking, probably because what she brought up was pointless i'ts self. The case not even going anywhere because the question she's asking that's stopping it. She started already by saying he has records of arrest when it's his first time being arrested, she trying to make it seem as he out of control and reckless, and she's not even professional, so many points that could have been made but she was too "off her game" to make. Re-watch this again and not watch this to get a kick.

So you think her scumbag relative breaking into her room and stealing her gun is her fault, why? Honestly she shouldn't have such a degenerate in her home however I don't think she did anything unsafe. It is not her fault if someone breaks into her room and steals her property. Now that being said she has a carry permit and if she kept the gun on her person he could not have stolen it and it could not have been missing for over a month without her realizing it.
the only thing i don't like about judge pirro is that she pretends to know everything. California did at a time have a cerfew for kids (idk about now) and it was possible for their license privileges to be taken or restricted
7700Purplexity Legaly, not really no. And in ~20 states you can't just do it willy-nilly. Also even though the US likes to wave around the 2nd amendment at any possible occasion, it was originally refering to using weapons in a militia - and not a free pass for every civilian to play Wild West.

The ideals judge has no bias, unfortunately there is no such thing as ideal in the real world... Judge Pirro showed a bias in this court case, not a very strong one, but one that did show, such as her inability to recognize that the man did in fact state that he was bailed out by his aunt on the court evasion charge (or whatever the legal term is for what he describes in 8:50-9:08 and she in 12:18-12:40) and only acknowledged the same information when it was explained by the aunt
First of all she was talking with him when the judge kicked him out so that wasn't right and second of all he was right about the license issue in California. If u have a ticket of any kind (at least 4 years ago) u cannot get a license. It happened to me.

I don't know, Judge Judy is pretty good. You can learn a lot about how to protect yourself legally and such. I'v e learned to maintain good documentation, get things in writing, etc. I think teenagers should watch it to start preparing them for the real adult world.
Oh my gods... Pirro... getting marks on your license even before you actually have your license is a thing. Several kids in my driver's ed 1 class could not proceed to the next class because they had too many marks already for other misdemeanor crimes, such as: curfew, underage consumption, and gang related activity. You're a terrible judge.
Lets not forget how proud he was he had only been to jail once like it is a great accomplishment to being there only once. He probably did not consider being in jail 10 minutes as a time in jail.
