Thanks for the compliment and I agree, Babymetal fans are very passionate but also the most friendly and welcoming bunch there is. Babymetal hasn't done many mellow songs, "Akatsuki unfinished" and "The one - Stairway to Living Legend" being the exception (and of course the piano version of Monochrome).
When they released this a few days ago they started the Sabaton's Europe Tour, first at Leeds, then London and a couple of days ago was Cardiff, yesterday was Glasgow turn finishing the UK leg, next stop is Paris, everyone is having a blast with this live tour and some surprises. This is the same version we heard at "The One - Stairway To Living Legend " in 2021 when they went on hiatus sealing the group officially and thanking all of us, The One. This one is like a short version of that, hence the "Unfinished Version" title, i highly suggest you to check it out that version to understand the context in that moment. We're so proud of MomoMetal, this is actually the second time she's in an official MV as MomoMetal, the first one was in Mirror Mirror and i guess this is the reason to show her and give her some spotlight.🍑❤️ See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
Great reaction and welcome Momometal.🦊 'The One' was the last song on the second album in 2016. The Japanese edition of the album has a half and half English-Japanese version, the international edition has the full English version that the girls had challenged themselves to do as a mark of respect and appreciation to the foreign fans who they noticed had been learning Japanese to sing along with them as they toured the world. This is effectively their love letter to the fans (who they also named "THE ONE"). This is an "unfinished" version ie it is stripped back with piano and strings only (also it is very much shortened having just the first verse). The full version is a Prog Metal ballad (if that is a thing), but they also do a version which starts like this with piano and strings - then the drums and guitars all join in half way through. If you didn't already see it, the official video is well worth seeing - that is the Japanese version. Legend S is possibly the best unfinished start going into the full version, Tokyo Dome had the extended full English version, Stairway to Living Legend probably the most emotional 'unfinished' version (a longer version of this one).
Nice reaction, thanks! This is an acoustic and shortened version of "The ONE", a song considered a love letter to their fans (also called The ONE). They used the same song and arrangements when they announced the hiatus on October 2021. But The ONE also refers to the ladies themselves and all their staff, who had a hard time during the last uncertain years. So, besides welcoming MOMOMETAL as an official member, this song could be a way to thank them all. And yes we are the best fanbase because... WE are The ONE! 😁 Until next time! 🤘🦊
When they did their Australian tour, there were a lot of remarks of people experiencing them as royalty. Looking at their dignity and poise here, it underlines that statement very well.
