Hi Simon, thank you for your kind words in your latest video...and as you can appreciate I am delighted with taking over the mantle of your XK8. I have only had a very small drive in it at the moment but it is clear that it is a super car, which is a credit to all the documented work you have carried out on it over your 2 years of ownership. As by way of a start, It is booked in to have the undershell cleaned and coated with Lanoguard. I also have a Stage 1 Adamesh exhaust system on its way, just to release a 'little' of the V8 growl which I think it deserves....I do hope you approve..
Hi Steve, that's all amazing news. You definitely seem like the right man for taking the jaguar on, and I am so pleased that you are excited about being its next owner. I have some exciting news myself to share on the channel as I have already lined up its replacement, but I am just working on the last details to secure the deal. So watch out for that update, buddy 👍
Morning Simon, Shame but I’m on my second XK8, different circumstances…. But ended up with my dream car. Jags are infectious….. Ah the money in the pocket - never stays there long 🤣 Really enjoyed the videos and will keep watching -
I know, once you have had one, they keep on coming! I'm sure something else will fill the hole soon. I just have so many other projects to finish off at the moment that I need to crack them before this summer, and I'll be on the hunt once again. Thanks buddy, Simon
Hope you don't live to regret it ! Was offered an immaculate racing green coupe from the guy who owned it at the Jaguar specialist I took mine to the other week "to accompany my convertible"......If I didn't already have 3 cars on the drive, I'd have bought it. Even as I type I'm wondering whether I can rent a drive off one of the neighbours 😂😂
I've been regretting it all week ever since we done the deal, but I was happier to help out the chap who bought it, so I'm sure it will all work out. It was my 3rd XK8, so inevitably, another will appear at my door one day soon 😃
Hi Alexander, I appreciate you getting in touch. However, please check out my latest video, I have just got a new Jaguar XKR to replace it with yesterday 😀
I'm sorry to see the XK8 go, Simon. I've owned mine since 2000 but would never sell it because of all the memories. We also have an XK (X150) and that is a better car in every way. If you get the chance, try to get hold of one as a replacement for the XK8. At this time, an X150 in good condition is the same price or cheaper than an X100 in similar condition as good X100's are becoming rare. Richard
Hi Richard, Good to hear from you, buddy. I have been looking at the X150. In fact, when we went to simply jaguar at Beaulieu last year we were very taken by them. So it is definitely on our radar for one for the future. I appreciate the insight as I have never had the XK. Thanks again, Simon
good morning Simon yes it's a pity that the XK8 has been sold. but life goes on. I will continue to watch your videos. Because you are a sympathetic Buddy. 😊
Hi Udo, as you say, life does go I have loads of other projects to crack on with so it would be great to keep you with the channel. All the best, Simon.
