We should support anyone with mental help. HOWEVER, I think Ben Simmons is lying -- (that's my opinion). He should have come out early and admitted his mental health. Then he claimed back issues and had surgery a year later. I think he is doing a disservice to those who truly need mental help. Him fighting back to get his money months later and then saying on JJ's podcast that it isn't about the money doesn't bode well for his case. Look. I hope Ben does well and should.He probably needs a guidance counselor (b/c I don't think he needs a psychiatrist). So let him move forward and crush it with KD and Kyrie. If they can pull it together and win a ring over Doc-Embid, his 76ers days will be a distant memory and then he can have the last laugh.

He’s been criticized his entire career. He had a mental break and his team dismissed it. Even though he was vocal about it during the prior season before the season he sat out. And the team chose to punish him instead of help him. He’ll be fine.

He didn’t take responsibility. He said He mightve did things the wrong way but so did the sixers. He shifted blame with is not apology apology. At the end of the day actions speak and in his time with the sixers he refused to improve his shooting but wanted superstar money. Superstar money comes with expectations. Instead he blamed mental health so he could force his way out of philly and get his money. And now that he got his money he’s healthy and ready to play again. JJ was soft with his questions and everyone at the sixers hasn’t said a word because they don’t want to destroy his career. If everyone says you’re lying and a problem on the team it’s probably just you and not the team.

Don’t get it twisted. Doc is a great coach who has won championships. Something that 95% of other nba coaches have not and will never do. Ben Simmons has won absolutely nothing and has refused to both work on and master a jump shot. Simmons is the reason Philly hasn’t won anything since Simmons was drafted. The Philly and Doc have bent over backwards to get Simmons to be the best player he can be. At the end of the day you have to play basketball and do what the coach says, if he says you need to shoot then you need to shoot the dam ball.
