Well give credit when its due. Lebron cut a check for 8 mil. But the citys public school system is footing the rest of the bill to open it and to continue to run it. And yes, LBJ will get a nice tax write off. But still, how many other "rich" athletes and celebrities could afford to do this. But here's the catch, I'm willing to bet that citys school district had funding for a new school passed a while ago. With that said, still cool for LBJ to help.

ksean st.peter and it’s a public school that will be funded by taxpayers but he’s contributing to help get it going and will contribute millions more once they get going and it’s filled to capacity.. It’s still nice and he’s helping provide some extra services. But yeah it’s being spun like he’s starting and maintaining a school himself.. He’s helping a ton though.

That is a Public school. Why is everybody constantly, calling it LeBron's school. He may donate a little something to some programs, and give some free uniforms. But that is it, that is a PUBLIC school. It isn't going to take anything out of his pocket, his foundation will cover any of the costs not him. It's nice that he is helping the kids out that will attend this public school, but it is NOT LeBron's school. And he isn't opening it, he didn't build it. It is an already existing Public school building. You are giving him way too much credit, for something he has not done.
