I remember during the 2002 finals that was the lakers vs nets matchup I was a young kid really hype about the lakers especially to kobe bryant who are about to win their 3rd championship 3-0 at that time, and I remember that my uncles are a healthy haters prank me saying that kobe died because of a crashed I remember that I cried a lot at that time and thankfully I was just a joke but 18 years lakers never realized that It would gonna be come true. I don't normally express anything in social media but I wanna let anyone know those reading this how this guy kobe bryant literally impacted my life for the better he really shown me a different perspective in life, and everytime I'm down I always watched kobe bryant videos, I watched anything from his interviews, highlight, heck even his talk shows and this was making me devasted even though I don't know the guy personally but I'm always looking forward for his next interviews posted here on RU-vid because i know I'm gonna learn something from it. Just about last month I was about to be drop at my new job because of a bad performance but watching one of his motivational videos including what this Jay Williams said inspired me so I kept working hard as well focusing on what kobe bryant said 'challenging yourself everyday' next thing I know I became that top perfomer on my job, and I my not be successful now but rest assured I'm gonna be because what kobe bryant instills in me constantly improving everyday. I'm very thankful for this man I'm gonna go hit the gym right now even know I'm kinda devasted right now because that's was kobe bryant does!

Reason why he is so emotional is because it coulda been him when he had his accident. Jay coulda been the next ai and a hall of famer for sure some people so young that they think jay is just an analyst.

Utah jazz fan here. The day Kobe retired was a pretty sad day. I told people that we need more players like Kobe in the NBA. A player you hated, because of how good he was. A player you knew was gonna take and hit the last big shot. A player that knew how to talk trash. A man who did everything right in his career, from staying with the same team for 20 years, to leading his team to the finals and winning five times. I really hated Kobe when he was in the NBA, he was too good. But you couldn't help but miss him when he retired. There still hasn't been and probably won't ever be another player with his competitive spirit and grit. Rest in peace Black Mamba.
