That last beach at 32 minutes was one of the best beaches there. Also looks great to play Robinson Curusoe

Stayed in one place with a monthly rental of $150 US. My electric running the air included was about $30 for the month. Favorite part. All the places where the tropical breezes were blowing!!

Too long? Well if you made a three hour video I would sit through it! Makes me long to go back to Thailand like you have no idea. Love 'em all.

that katoey - and especially the thinly disguised and contemptuous inn-keeper at about (36 min. into the video) bring back memories of the Thai Illusion :) The inn-keeper was emanating welcome and "love" hahahahah

Can't please everybody. Some want long videos and some want short ones. I do not worry about the hits, just the content.

You'll make a good English teacher, especially to those eager Cambodian students.

In Koh Chang it is more a humid tropical heat. Not bad near the water though.

hey JC-wow what a great series. I was wondering how many places you stayed while you were in Koh Chang. Also what was your favorite part of the Island. Good luck in Cambodia

Could not agree more JC - I have not seen in general a desire to learn in Thailand. In fact they heheh have an aversion to learning. They don't seem to grasp that learning can be fun/sanuk as they often lament. Effortless learning equals poor results - a desire to learn = effortless results

Actually in reality here we use "chu" for the name of anything. Maybe that isn't the proper Thai but it is what Thais do everyday here. Just thought I'd throw that in. But yours it the proper Thai way I am sure.
@niceillusion1
@niceillusion1 11 лет назад
to ask the name of a PLACE (you say "what is it "called") - - liak arai, krup? to ask a PERSON'S name - then, you ask "chue arai, krup"? (name is what?) place = liak arai person = chue arai :) but you do NOT ask what a restaurant's name is - you ask WHAT is it called = ranahan liak arai, krup? person- kuhn chue arai (you name what?)

I wasnt happy with the two guys at 35:40 thats the kind of people I wouldnt trust at all. You cant trust people you dont know but these two guys have something about them you need to watch out for- just my opinion. Its a warning signal to me that you need to stay away. Im normally good when it comes to what kind of people you should be around or not. I dont rem when i was wrong about that issue, if ever.

I was just wondering ??? do you carry your passport at all times while traveling country to country ?? seems a bit dangerous I think ??, I bank with bank of America here in calif and do you know or think my atm card would work there ??? thanks
@EscapetoThailand
@EscapetoThailand 10 лет назад
I ALWAYS carry a color laminated copy of my passport with my Thai visa on the back. By law you are supposed to carry your passport on you but I feel that isn't a great idea. If the copy isn't sufficient and the original is needed I can get it quickly. Look at the back of your ATM card. If the Cirrus or Plus logos are found then they will work just fine. You will incur a $5 fee for using it so take out enough to offset the fee.

My ATM card has always worked in Thailand (knock on wood...) as well as western Europe, China and Japan. I NEVER carry my passport once I arrive but I should take JC's suggestion to carry a copy. I got whacked at a roadblock once and the cop was asking for B300 (I have no idea why) but my Isaan wife charged out of the car, found the cop boss, chewed his ass for harrassing a falang and they let me go. Probably to get rid of her. :P At the next roadblock we gave the cop a Sing and he was fine. Thailand is a different world....
