There are nice people everywhere. We don't forget. But we can point out when they are outstanding.

It is very cool to fire up Google Maps when JC is in a town or city and then try to figure out where he is and then StreetView it. I was able to find the place where he had the eggs and then later where he had those steamed, filled, rolls.

GoPro is great for on the bike or on a person for the wide view 120 degree. But anything past about 15 ft gets pretty small so I'd have to be close to anything I am shooting for the viewers to see any detail. But they are very cool little cams. My accountant says it isn't in the budget!!

I've enjoyed your series on Chiang Rai, and your videos on Chiang Mai, as well. I'm scheduled to travel to Thailand end of January next year, and may spend several months in the Chiang Mai area, though Chiang Rai is intriguing as well. I've wondered for some time if it's possible to find rental properties in the mountains, and how much cooler it is in the populated areas in the mountains.

That's a very entertaining video, JC! The steamed dough balls you eat, they have in the Philippines also. But there they have a meat stew in the middle. :-) And the "goats" you mentioned, looked more like sheep to me. Ostriches is delicious, JC. You have to try it! The ostriches farm looks like a place to check up. I hope you're looking for more camping options before you leave Chiang Rai! Keep up the good work! :-)

Just one last statement of divine truth: "The world changes every millisecond that passes!" So too shall economies. Who knows, maybe one day this will be clear enough so it won't be much of a topic for debate?

ooorr man JT how lucky to share a place with ostrich's and for free ! and yes most Thai people are great and will help out if you ask them nicely! 16:00 but that music ??? LoL strange very strange even for Thailand... great video hope there's more like this 1 to come!

Well, no. All I am doing is using Google Maps and StreetView. Neither of those is current to present day. Based on subtle differences between what I can see in the background of JC's videos and what Streetview shows, there is a notable, though not "large" gap of time between the two. I am not actually tracking JC himself. He'd have to be somewhere just as the Google Streetview car drives by and takes the picture.

The Translation for the Eggs were not so clear, "Kai kratak" you said were Scrambled Eggs, but the word "Kratak" actually meant the dish it was served in, So "Kratak" meant the Little sliver dish or it means a "Wok"(Chinese style Fry Pan)

Yes there is a risk that the western world more or less will face bankruptcy but it will have an effect on Thailand as well. But you are right we should live in the moment and not think too much. Yes the future is certainly a mystery. Im glad you are that positive about the life, it must be the sun! All the best wishes for you. Maybe i will comment on other videos later, if i find something i dont understand, hope you dont mind.

Hey JC, since you do not do much zoom type of shooting you should really grab a GoPro as they are cheap now and have the 120 degree lense that comes stock... great camera and small and waterproof also will give a MUCH better view of what you are laying down :) when i get back in JULY and if you dont have one by then ill bring you one and we can meet up !!

Let's pretend America and the rest of the countries going bankrupt solve their problems. Shoot while we are at it let's pretend I am 35 and rich!!! I like that one the best!! :) My suggestion. Live in the moment. The past is history, the future a mystery. Now is a gift. That is why they call it the present.

Rental property in rural areas will be found using the locals and word of mouth. Befriend some locals and ask them.

Ostrich farming was a massive scandal in the UK twenty years ago. Idiots investing on the basis that they would (somehow) make 20% a year from ostrich meat and eggs. Only a country like Thailand, with a tropical climate and cheap labour, can make something like ostrich farming work.

I know Thailand has had progress because of the tourism and thats good for them ( I want all the best for the Thai people) but lets pretend there someday no more is tourism, or only 50% of what it is know then the people will experience more powerty again, because they dont have much more than that to offer to the world- im thinking of industry. Dont worry im not against your work, i think you are doing a lot for people with your videos. I just want to get facts on the table.

Hi JC, I have noticed that you always compare how much work you would get done in America compared to what you can get in Thailand. Yes no question you can get all for nearly nothing in Thailand compared to America or any other western country but as you know Thailand is in fact a third world country, so of course they have small prices on everything.

I have a coup of places new two story house and one new two story corner unit townhouse in Bangbuathong. Friends are ALWAYS welcome. Also have a business called C2C Thailand "concept to completion" :) we do advertising for pioneer electronics as well as independent. Another answer us a cheap about 300 baht or less wide angle kit that can screw right on the end of your camera right now a make a better shout for everyone to see surrounds. ;)
