Jeff Lynne is powerful enough to bring a 58 years old man to tears. Jeff is so talented and can share the stage with legends yet shine so bright. Not only is he a great artist but he seems to have a 'perfect touch' when it comes to communicating with the audiences. In 2022, we definitely need this song to ring loud and would hope it could be used to raise funds for those impacted by war and strife.
He's always been on par with those legends in my mind....his voice has always made me feel something that I'm not quite sure how to describe, but it's a good feeling albeit tinged with a slight sadness?!! xx
Have doted on these beautiful people since this video was uploaded on YT and I gotta say, Give Me Love is more pertinent today than it's ever been. Clapton played this song again on his 8 December 2023 show and Dhani joined him for it. Peace and love.
@@MusicLover10538 Yeah, but Jeff sang it a bit safe on, "Something", for some reason. He kind of glided through it smoothly, whereas George really punctuated so much of the song's lyrics. I think Jeff did a better job on, "Give Me Love". He seemed more at ease. Maybe that's just because it suits him better.

I am an avid ELO and Beatles fan. I think Jeff Lynne has an awesome voice and is an exceptionally talented songwriter and musician,not to mention his impeccable engineering and production skills. Unfortunately,I never got to see the original ELO lineup with Jeff Lynne,but I saw ELO part 2 twice,in 1994 and 1997 both in OKC,Oklahoma and really enjoyed it. In 1994,I saw them in a small club and stood about 15 feet away from the stage,in front of Bev Bevan and Mik Kaminski,their new lead vocalist was Eric Troyer. When I saw them at the civic center in '97,Phil Bates was a new addition to the band,which was backed by the OKC Symphony Orchestra. I greatly enjoyed both concerts.

Jeff freaking Lynne. Is there a more talented musician and songwriter on earth? I submit that there is not. So thankful that my dad raised my millennial keister on ELO. They've been my favorite band for most of my 35 years. Every album on CD and vinyl. Seen then live thrice (Wembley or Bust x2, Zoom when I was a teenager) and probably the youngest person in the stadium. When Jeff dies in a decade or two, we might as well just end music as there's no longer any point.

I did see Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra in New York 2016 Toronto in 2018 and 2019. They were voted the best live classic Rock Band in the world 🌎 and after seeing about more than 200 concerts in my life I totally agree. Let’s hope they tour one more time in 2022-2023.
