Jeff Lynne is powerful enough to bring a 58 years old man to tears. Jeff is so talented and can share the stage with legends yet shine so bright. Not only is he a great artist but he seems to have a 'perfect touch' when it comes to communicating with the audiences. In 2022, we definitely need this song to ring loud and would hope it could be used to raise funds for those impacted by war and strife.
He's always been on par with those legends in my mind....his voice has always made me feel something that I'm not quite sure how to describe, but it's a good feeling albeit tinged with a slight sadness?!! xx
@@MusicLover10538 Yeah, but Jeff sang it a bit safe on, "Something", for some reason. He kind of glided through it smoothly, whereas George really punctuated so much of the song's lyrics. I think Jeff did a better job on, "Give Me Love". He seemed more at ease. Maybe that's just because it suits him better.

Yes, I got the DVD for my Birthday back when it came out. I also downloaded the file. Seems like DVD's are be becoming a thing of the past! My favorite Concert is... from August 1971, " *The Concert for Bangladesh* ! I never get tired of it. And I have all the songs on both my computer at home & work! I did see Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra in New York 2016 Toronto in 2018 and 2019. They were voted the best live classic Rock Band in the world 🌎 and after seeing about more than 200 concerts in my life I totally agree. Let’s hope they tour one more time in 2022-2023. I am an avid ELO and Beatles fan. I think Jeff Lynne has an awesome voice and is an exceptionally talented songwriter and musician,not to mention his impeccable engineering and production skills. Unfortunately,I never got to see the original ELO lineup with Jeff Lynne,but I saw ELO part 2 twice,in 1994 and 1997 both in OKC,Oklahoma and really enjoyed it. In 1994,I saw them in a small club and stood about 15 feet away from the stage,in front of Bev Bevan and Mik Kaminski,their new lead vocalist was Eric Troyer. When I saw them at the civic center in '97,Phil Bates was a new addition to the band,which was backed by the OKC Symphony Orchestra. I greatly enjoyed both concerts.

ELO has had their own sound, very special orchestration and tremendous harmonies. Of course, the Beatles commercially are the best ever but musically and in live concerts i always much-preferred ELO. The Beatles were a studio band under the brilliant direction of George Martin. Jeff Lynne has done almost everything all by himself. Amazing Music Genius. The Beatles and ELO are my favorite bands of all time. Just my taste as a musician. Nothing more.
Unfortunately no one ever heard the Beatles live property and although I doubt Jeff Lynne wouldn't resort to using pro tools live he does have access to modern equipment that said I agree he and his pal Roy wood are fantastic in their own right
i mean it's pretty hard to be the best at live performances when your audience is so loud they can't hear you and you can't hear yourself. That's why they stoped touring, they hated it because they didn't think they were up to their own standards up there.
