People can get on Swole for her lack of talent and apparently self-awareness, but how many other people in AEW probably labor under similar delusions because they have an amateur running the place telling them their work is great?

I'm so glad she's gone. She was terrible in the ring and is clearly terrible attitude wise.

AEW Fan here. I feel like Swole had the issue of anytime someone gave her criticism she would bring up her physical illness or the color of her skin and then wondered why people just became yes men around her and she never improved because she wanted to take the easy way out.

Say what you want about the tooth and nail thing, it was spectacularly shitty. AEW never did a cinematc again, Swole was banished to Dark then sent packing and TK told the world why. The AI is learning

I remember starting doing wrestling media in 2002. A few interviews in, I had on AJ Styles, "Mean" Gene Okerlund, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage which absolutely blew my mind. The child in me was literally jumping up and down at this journey and the adult version of me was as well after the recordings were done. So, I called Ole Anderson when someone floated me his number. He gave me a few questions about exceptionally old wrestling, stuff from the 50's as trivia questions. When I couldn't answer them, I'm being honest he stumped me. When I couldn't answer, he said, "Look, kid. You don't know shit about shit. But, that's OK. You're young. You're too young to know that you don't know shit about shit. Learn your history and then we'll do an interview." Now, I never called back... And I did learn that era's history since this phone call. But, it was a needed reminder that as much as I have had the good fortune to be welcomed in to the industry to some degree by huge names, I didn't pay any dues and didn't know enough to be doing what I was doing. I took that experience as a learning experience. I learned. And, I sincerely did gain even more respect for everyone who ever gave me their time. I say this because I was 22 or so at that point and now I'm much older and I know I was lucky. Swole has no idea she was lucky. Nor did she know shit about shit.

Look, AEW fan here… When Swole first got signed, I’d never heard of her. I’d only seen her matches on Dark where she seemed “ok” at best. That said she was unsigned and being used as a jobber, so I wouldn’t rate her performance on that seeing as she was there to put over signed AEW and not there to shine. When it was made official, I thought she had a decent look about her at least and was “excited” to see what AEW did with her. Jazz appeared in one of the AEW women’s Battle Royales and I remember thinking, Swole and Jazz would make a great combination. Whether it be Jazz as Swole’s manager or Jazz vs Swole in a kind of passing of the torch match. Either way, I WANTED to see Swole succeed in AEW. However… The whole time she was there, her in ring never really improved. She made a few very awkward looking botches that were mostly on DARK… a pre taped edited show, so AEW’s production team could have easily edited the botches out or cut to another angle… But she did make a few botches. One time, she started using a new submission finisher and the first time she used it… she tripped over on her opponents legs and it looked awful. Now… all wrestlers make mistakes and I can forgive her for botching. But like I said, the entire time she was there, she never improved. As far as her mic skills, she criticised AEW’s black wrestlers of not feeling genuine, but she herself felt like a stereotype black woman from a Tyler Perry movie. The way she spoke was annoying and didn’t connect with me at all, so I’m guessing it didn’t connect with a lot of white people. Now I don’t have a lot of black friends and even less that watch wrestling, but I do have a friend from Work who watches AEW too and he never got behind Swole. He wasn’t a fan, so perhaps she didn’t connect with a black audience either?.. I don’t know?… But whatever the case, I hated her mic work. The best thing about Big Swole was her ring gear… as a 90’s child, it was always fun to see an XMen reference or a Power Ranger inspired look. But that’s it. The one good thing about Big Swole was her ring gear… and that’s just not enough. I honestly couldn’t care less about being blocked on Twitter, so I don’t want to seem like some angry fan who was blocked by her… but I WAS blocked by her. The reason I bring that up is to point out how she can’t take criticism. What was it that I said?… “That Tooth & Nail match did nothing to push either Britt Baker or Big Swole. TonyKhan, end this feud, bring in Jazz and make her Swoles manager” She blocked me for that. She can’t take criticism, so I’m not shocked that she can’t see she wasn’t very good. End of rant.

I've watched a lot of bad wrestling from a lot of bad promotions.. that was one of the worst things I've ever seen. I'm also surprised to hear Swole had charisma and character. She blew herself up with her thumb, that's all I remember about her aside from her being bland and a bad wrestler.

I'm confused about Swole claiming she was chosen to turn Britt heel even though she'd turned heel before the feud which lead to this match started (I remember it starting with Britt calling out Riho for barely being around even though she was women's champion and going on to accuse Tony Schiavone of being a "shitty barista at Starbucks" in a terrible promo before she slowly started improving). I never saw the tooth+nail match but it sounds as though Swole could have been justified regarding claims of it lacking substance based on what I've heard about it.

her matches against diamante were rotten. got no reaction when they happened and rightfully so. as far as britt vs swole, i'm convinced neither knew what the hell to do. but the problem about swole is that she seems to have this reality distortion field around her and she has no idea how to get better nor is anyone smartening her up to the business. the crohn's disease aspect sucks and it's courageous for her to try. but if it's hurting the performance, then you probably shouldn't be doing this.

Swole was one of the worst "talents" AEW ever presented. I don't get all the people who simp for her now. Go and watch Swole's AEW Dark matches on yotube. She was unanimously called out for her rotten performance on ALL those videos. Don't know where all this confidence coming from! But even AEW hardcore fans made fun of her constant botching....

I never saw why she was signed but that could be said with many more female and male talents. She was also given a decent amount of tv time In the beginning. Her theme song was horrible as well.

So she just gives up after 3 or 4 Years because of one bad Match/Segment or whatever the Tooth and Nail thing was. But yeah this is a huge example of why Creative Freedom isn't all that great.

I’m late to this and maybe this been explained. Why is her name Big Swole? She’s not really big(kinda tiny) and not really swole(she have a nice to average athletic female build). I’m lost.

I thought Big Swole was complaining about not having any creative direction and the wrestlers were all left to themselves to figure out storylines but here she complains about having too little control over creative. Maybe she just sucks at wrestling through and through

Everything that Big Swole did in her time in AEW it was not impressive. It felt so lackluster as awful as well. She acts like she made a big splash in AEW; that's preposterous. I'm not trying to be rude to her but she comes across as a drama queen. The more she talks the more exposed AEW and Tony Khan get. It wouldn't surprising if she exposes secrets and gossip about AEW and their woes. I think there's more to this than meets the eye.

Also there was the time she wheeled a suitcase to the arena, was told she wasn't allowed in, complained like an annoying Karen and then just left like a jobbef wheeling her suitcase away. Imagine Austin being told he can't come in and just being like 'WHAT!? I drove all the way from Texas! Aw man, guess I'll go home, tell Vince this aint over though' then he pathetically wheels his suitcase away almost tripping over. Come to think of it, I once saw Ric Flair refused entry to an arena for a shoot (well a prank by Charlotte but he didn't know) and he did not take it lying down.

It's funny how everyone is bashing Big Swole, when Britt Baker was also part of the match and doesn't have history of having good matches outside of The gimmick bloodfest with Thunder Rosa. Anyone that saw that tag team match this past week knows that Baker was awful. Swole has plenty of charisma and personality, she's not great in the ring, but most of the AEW women are awful including 1 match Britt.

Swole sounds like a bit of a numpty. Maybe if she didn't name herself "Big Swole" it'd be easier to take her seriously. Sounds like the debut album of an early 2000s Nu Metal band... Also, why can't someone target Britt Baker's day job? It'd be such low hanging fruit for heat generation. "When I'm done with you, you're going to need a real doctor".

Even though when you see them, in the limited time they're on RU-vid, they're nothing special.. A lot of talent going to be butt hurt like her, if/when Tony quits being a MARK, and realizes he has a great roster that needs more CONSISTENT TV TIME, and gets rid of the other 55%

WWE should sign Big Swole. She's just what their women's division needs.
