This is too entertaining. You can literally listen to Jim and Brian talk about anything and be entertained.

It's so odd to me, to hear anti-kid Jim Cornette calling Brian Last late at night and having the kind of conversation elderly parents have with their children. ADDED: it's also kinda heartwarming that Brian actually takes that call and plays that role.

Jimmy is the grandpa I'd love to have. The decade is just starting but Cornette vs. Internet is a strong candidate to Rivalry of the Decade already.

The feud between the Internet and Jim Cornette is more exciting than anything in wrestling today.

I work in IT as a programmer and have had experiences like Jim multiple times. It's not just that he doesn't get the Internet, the Internet sometimes just really sucks ass. And Cable box UIs are made in hell.

I feel your pain Mr. Cornette. I went through similar intermittent connection issues with Spectrum for 10 months so I feel your pain! I had 13 techs (that’s right, 13 techs) come to my home and do just about everything under the sun to fix the issue and every time they would tell me they fixed it. It would be less than 2 weeks before I was having the same damn problem and it was interfering with my job because I work from home. Finally after the 12th person, they sent me the regional supervisor who ran full checks and wouldn’t you know it, he found out what was the issue. It had nothing to do with the internal wiring in my home, the issue was coming from one of the electrical poles where they run the service for the whole area! It took 12 techs and a regional supervisor before they finally found and fixed the problem! If I can offer a suggestion, ask them to check the wiring outside your home, specifically THEIR service boxes that provide internet to everyone in the area. It’s possible something has worn out and they need to replace it. I hope this problem gets resolved and it all works out. Thank you and Mr Last so much for all of the great content!

all Jim had to say to start with was....Spectrum.

I feel like poor jim it took me 2 years to get internet where I live. They kept telling me it was gonna cost 6000 dollars to have internet installed. Something about having to put up a tower. Eventually after the 6th time they came out to my house. He got out of his van ran about 50 feet of cable to the pole. It took about 20 minutes to do and it was done come to find out they were just to lazy to run the lines. I hate these people.

This is the "Oh brother where art thou" of IT stories.

Had the same problem with Spectrum in Durham, NC. Problem was at the box on the street. Previous tech had rerouted stuff in there for testing and never put it back. I was paying for 400 M/bps - was getting 3 M/bps.

I've had intermittent problems with the Internet in my home, but recently I've tried running an Ethernet cable from my computer to the outlet and it's worked rather well.

Jim, I am going through the exact same thing you’re going through now with my Internet company. It’s maddening when you call them and they try to talk you through it and you’ve called them so many times that you’ve already did what they talk to you through but you have to do it again. Then have a guy come out fix it and then five hours later broke again. I feel your frustration. And on the sidenote I think you’re the best. I’m 50 years old and I have been watching you since I was 13 years old. I am grateful for your podcast so I can still hear your opinions on stuff which matches mine 99% of the time. You don’t need me to tell you this but please keep up the great job.

I can relate, Jim. I recently had my Internet inexplicably go completely down for *over a week* recently, totally randomly, and every time we called or tried to contact RCN (the ISP) they just said "we are working hard to resolve the problem" but offered no real explanation as to what happened, what they needed to fix, or any estimated timetable of when things would be fixed. It was down in the whole area here for anyone that used RCN, not just us. Eventually we got fed up with it and had to switch to the *only* other ISP option in the area (there is only TWO choices available here) which is a bit slower than RCN, but hey, it's better than having literally no Internet. If anyone else had or has RCN in Eastern PA, I'd appreciate hearing from you too in the comments.

I know you'll never read this but Jim, if you don't already you should get Speculum to give you business class or whatever they call it now. You'll get your own personal cust svc person who'll help you much better. Plus, it sounds like there's an issue with the actual cable going to your house. You need a damn bucket truck checking cabling going back to the amp that feeds you and your neighbors. Think of your house being a car and the cable being the gas line. As my pops would say: "It ain't gitttin' no goddamn gas"
