Man I love Jim Florentine. Seriously. Everything from the prank calls, to That Metal Show, to his standup. Fucking awesome career. I used to record all the That Metal Show episodes and watch them over and over until the new episode would come out. Then repeat.

I'm 30 minutes into this and I just found out who he is I've been listening to all his pranks now. It's crazy how years later I find him and I'm such a big fan. Listening to his story very fascinating.

14:30 When I was at uni in the 90's I lived in a house with a couple of mates, we used to marinate steaks and do mega feasts all the time. So one day I was getting the steak prepped, cutting off the excess fat and trimming them, and while I was trimming I was making cow "mooooo'oooo'ooooooo" noises that were borderline sounding like a slow person having an episode. There was a knock at the door at my mate answers. About 5 minutes later the mate comes back to the kitchen doubled over and crying with laughter, turns out the person at the door was collecting donations for the down syndrome society. The entire time he was pitching to my mate all they could hear in the background was me in the kitchen going "moooooo'ooooo'ooooooo" non-stop, for the entire time. Still not sure if the guy at the door thought we were taking the p!ss out of him, or if he thought there was a down syndrome person in the house, but I can't eat steak anymore without grinning like a Cheshire!!

I went to his show outside of Cumberland, MD. Really funny show!! I got to meet him before the show, I have to say, what an awesome guy! Super nice, let my chick take a selfie with him, and had zero issue shooting the bull with me for a couple minutes. Very cool! Heck of a guy.

My biggest claim to fame amongst friends was pranking the local Dick’s Sporting Goods for like a year until they finally changed their phones to not accept blocked numbers. They had meetings about me (my brother worked there) gave me a nickname (the doo doo man) and vowed to have me arrested. My brother got me one of their in store radios the associates used to communicate to each other with, I’d park across the street and have them losing their minds. I wish I could release the recordings, they’re so many laws now with the FCC.

The burping and eating on the phone is annoying but not as funny as the other stuff, like he did with Jamison. It's all classic though and those CD's and Crank Yankers will live on in comedy forever. I also wonder how the Jim Bob and Junkyard Willie characters got started with Touchtone Terrorists and shared the spotlight with Florentine's characters on Yankers.
