Jim Lee's Wolverine is the best in my opinion, Wolverine 27, Xmen 11, xmen 274, Batman 608 variant goes with superman 204 cover... I could go on, there are tons of awesome Lee covers, Some really good superman covers as well

hey brother, nice video! and a very cool homage to a living legend and a solid industry leader in Comic Books. My comic book die hard serious collector started with Jim Lee. I was obsessed with the gatefold cover of X-Men 1. Actually I must confess I bought myself three comics back then, one to read over and over again, one to keep it intact (decades later signed by him and my first time meeting him and shaking his hand), and the third copy I detached the cover and used it as a vertical poster cuz I love so much staring at all the X gang posing in the coolest way ever! Now, the cover I feel you might would like to consider to show here is Batman 50 with Jim Lee art showing the cape crusader staying up close to Catwoman's face in the middle of the rain. Oh man! that has to be one of the most romantic covers of all times.

Great examples of Jim Lee art! I would add Conan 242 Conan and Red Sonja faceoff, his only Conan work (I believe) and Django Unchained #1 ( 2nd print sketch variant).

X-Men #11 should definitely be on this list. I'd also say WildC.A.T.S. #2 is a better and more important cover than #1,because it's the first prism cover of any comic ever. That second printing of Batman #608 should absolutely be on this list,even before #609,imo.

Batman #608 is one of my favorite Jim Lee covers. I also like Uncanny X-Men #256, because I love how ninja Pyslocke looks on the cover, and the X-Men #1 foldout cover is also a favorite too!

While I have been collecting comics (on and off) since the Mid 70’s, the most impactful time I got really hot and heavy into artists were the early 90s and the start of Image. Jim, Todd, Marc and Rob in particular, were the Image founders who’s were really doing stuff that just blew my mind. Their art still amazes me. Then I started looking back into their careers at Marvel and started buying books they did prior to their Marvel Exodus (Both Marvel and DC books) and when I see new stuff from them, snatch them up as well.). I love Jim Lees Hush work. I saw your Hush video last night and had to quickly double check this morning to make sure I still had Jim’s entire Hush story arc. Gladly…I found them all safely protected in Mylar. By the way…I’m curious on your thoughts on Rob Liefeld. I don’t really get caught up in the personal drama…and see so much hate posted on Facebook…but…since he and I don’t have a personal relationship, and likely never will…I can’t really speak to him as a person. I love his drawing. I see where people slam his feet (or lack of) and his puffy chests etc, but…we are talking comic books aren’t we? I’m not sure anatomy accuracy is really that important in the “funny books” and when I see his art, I often do have to say, “Wow! This shit is dynamic and eye catching”…. I particularly love the work he did after he took a short hiatus to “take his art to the next level” during the Youngblood days. Anyway, I digress…and this video is about Jim Lee…so in closing…Hail to Jim Lee! Jim’s books will always have a prominent place in my personal collection!

I have both the Superman 204 and Batman 608 2nd print hanging on the wall facing one another. Always loved how it showed bright & sunny Metropolis vs. the dark & gritty Gotham.

I just learned a lot about Jim Lee, thanks for the history lesson. I've been missing a lot of your videos, but it's because I have a new job and I had to attend a lot lectures, so when I got home, I just needed quietness, I getting old, what can I say. I finished the 5 week orientation today, so things will be back to normal a little bit.

Man I am glad I picked up the Batman 612 in a 9.8 signed by Jim Lee my only signed Lee book! Great choices for this amazing artist! His newer DC books are really good too like his cover of Joker in New Suicide Squad issue 9 and I absolutely loved his Superman Batman run!

Great stuff Reggie! For me ALL of Jim Lee’s ‘Uncanny X-Men’ run should be a must have. He was at the top of his game during that run. My goal is to get them all in newsstands CGC 9.8. I’m only 3 books away from my goal. 🏆🔥🥳

Very nice my man ! What 80’s kid doesn’t love thundercats ! The uncanny with black widow and cap on the cover is dope I have that one slabbed , it didn’t come back high grade but for nostalgic purposes I sent it out . There’s a really cool X factor cover he did as well , issue 62 !

Regie, I would include Savage Dragon #13 published by Image Comics back in October 1994 to the list of Best Jim Lee books of All Time. Jim Lee does the cover and interior art. Every artist has a peak at some point during their career. In my sincere opinion, Savage Dragon #13 represents the pinnacle of Jim Lee's art in comic books. Jim Lee may likely have done more work equal to Savage Dragon #13, but nothing that exceeds it in my respectful opinion.

Great stuff bro! Jim Lee does some amazing artwork! I purchased his X-Men Artist’s Edition oversized book a while back. I have that Thundercats and the whole X-men 1 set as well! One set of comics that I have been slowly collecting is the 29 Trading Card Variant Covers that feature art by Jim Lee. I think I have about half of them so far. 😀

I'll throw in a little love for Punisher War Journal issues 6-7; first battle between Wolverine and Punisher. Not necessarily big keys (if we consider them keys at all) but certainly cool work by Lee in his earlier days.

Jim Lee was my dude during my youth. Loved the detail and action scenes. Phenomenal during a time of other great artists making their marks. Prefer X-Men 5 cover to 4 just on the imagery. Great list.

I used to have so much Jim Lee back in the day! Not so much this go round but adding more all the time! I think anybody that was buying books in the late '80s and early '90s know who he is for sure. Definitely one of the greats!

Hey Regie, those are some great Jim Lee books that you highlighted I actually didn't know about a few of them. I am very interested in that Batman #609 as I have always wanted to read the Hush story line. Another couple of great Jim Lee covers that I really love are Punisher War Journal's 6 & 7 with the first meeting between The Punisher and Wolverine.

A short list of my favorite X-Men artists has to include Jim Lee & Whilce Portacio. We *all* love John Byrne, Terry Austin, Dave Cockrum, etc., I really appreciate a video highlighting some of the artists who came after those guys & did incredible work. I'm not even a Batman fan or reader but if I see a Batman cover done by Jim Lee or Todd McFarlane I buy it 😆 Gotta send one of my X-Men #268s in to CGC soon, I have 2-3 that would be worth selling but only 1 worth keeping (probably a 7.5), when it comes to 80s-90s books I tend to sell my high grades & keep the lower ones.

X-Men 4-7 is the height for me. 5 has an amazing cover, introduction of Maverick (who's original name was going to be Wildkat,) and was the first storyline as a kid where I felt like Wolvie was truly in really deep sh!t.

Great editing to start the video! I thought about doing a push-up, squat & a crunch for every time Jim Lee's full name was mentioned but suspect I'll be sore for days! ;) Awesome list with some cool surprises! I've had Batman #s 608 & 612, Uncanny X-Men 268 and X-Men #4 put aside for whenever I get the opportunity to have these books signed by Mr. Lee and slabbed and graded by CGC.

I would add Uncanny X-Men 270 with Havok blasting the X-Men logo with his blasts. Speaking of WildC.A.T.s story, hoo boy. Let’s just say, it pays to be friends with Jim Lee. But if it weren’t for those two we wouldn’t have WildC.A.T.s or Gen 13.

Regie, Great video as usual. I want to ask you an off the subject question. A few years ago I bought a Vampirella comic lot . I only recently looked at them and noticed on the covers of 3 of them were ads saying a coupon for a Dave Stevens poster was included in the comics. All are missing this coupon ( I actually found evidence of one being torn from the centerfold). Will this affect the collectability of these books? Thank you.

The GOAT!!! I would have to say x-men vol 2 #5 is one of his best covers. Far superior to x-men vol 2 #4. Justice League #1/#12 (think it was the 2011/2 run...forget exactly which year.) Batman black and white #1 Batman #608 2nd print Superman #604/#605 Wolverine #27 Punisher war journal #6/#7/#19 X-men vol 2 annual #1 X-men vol 2 #11 Transformers #67 Ghost Rider vol 2 #5 Deathblow #2/#7/#9 Basically anything with the joker lol Have I proven I'm some what of a fan yet? ;p

Jim did a "sequel" to his Batman run by jumping into Superman with Jeph Loeb. Like the Batman run, it was a multipart story, but it's pretty forgettable
