The idea that Matt Watson is Dad's son and dad beat him up so badly in a boxing match that he gave him brain damage is legit the funniest interpretation of that match
The most hilarious part to me is how upset Joe was because the dad didn't even teach his kid how to box before beating tf out of him in front of the world 😭
IDK man. I actually saw this match in person, and in person was a lot like watching the video on mute because you could not hear the commentary sitting in the audience either. Nor could I see the signs with subscriber numbers from where I sat. All you could hear was the guy announce a special match between "Dad" and whatever the young guy's name is, then you saw the older guy go after the younger guy hard. I had pretty much the same reaction as Joe. The person I came with then explained to me the guy's name was Dad, that he wasn't his dad. We kept watching and then finally I made a comment back to the guy I came with about still feeling bad for the young guy and not being sure that him not being his father made me feel any better about the matchup because Dad was just straight up beating the hell out of him. It wasn't even a fight so much as just a total one-sided beatdown.
@@dooley8746 so if someone wins a fight they’re a bad person? Blame the ref, blame the “kids” team, blame the organizers for matching them up, but how could you blame the guy who was asked to do exactly what he did? It was a fight a fight is a fight and you don’t stop fighting until the ref says, or you just lose. People usually make fun of older people and 20 year olds usually think they can beat up “old heads” so I think it’s pretty cool that this guy WON the BOXING MATCH. Not BEAT a KID
Actually no difference. Unless you're 26 and think you're much more grownup than a 21 year old. Just wait 10 more years and you'd laugh about this statement
To be fair joe handled getting called out for being wrong very well. He didnt get annoyed or try and make an excuse, he just went “welp i messed up” and moved on. Respectable
Lol yes let's extrapolate from this clip that he is uninformed on everything and makes everything up. The leftist MSM corporate opinion needs to stop influencing pedestrian opinions.
Wait so bigfoot, aliens, moon landing, 🪡- autism link, wild fires origins, chems water supply, simulation inside a sensory deprivation tank, cold showers, Kanye's wisdom, and edu litter boxes might not be real??
The fact it was Matt Watson that tweeted that is great, he has no shame or embarrassment from that fight, most creators would be too insecure to ever mention it, yet he fully embraces it
@@TathD yea but alot creators are huge on their ego, getting beat up infront of millions is certainly not something i could see most on this platform taking very well Which is ashame cuz boxing is entertainment, people go to see two people pummel eachother, so if thats what you delivered then you've succeeded as a boxer, pro or not, entertainment is the point of boxing, if youre not entertaining then youre a shit fighter
@@fobo3361 Tbf Matt Watson is a youtuber who tells dick jokes and talks on his podcast about shitting his pants, I think he's used to putting embarrassing things online
I love that in Joe's mind for a moment, we all lived in this dystopian society where literally everyone cheers while father beats the shit out of his son in a boxing match and Joe Rogan is the one that sees it as a problem and the rest of us are just like "WHOOP HIS ASS DAD!"
To be fair, its actually refreshing to see people admit they misread something wrong & correct themselves while not having to edit it out for all to see. We've all been there. If anything it makes me like Joe more & shows he's human like everyone else with a good moral compass. We've all been mislead by titles & clips online before. No big deal. A bit of drama that feels thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.
The problem is the guy believes anything he sees on the internet and then shares that with his small-minded audience like it's fact and they believe it. And that's how bad things happen like out of control pandemics and coups
This guy made a 15 min video on how rogan just ruined his career over getting a clip wrong. OMG. lol. What video or clip that’s going around isn’t clickbait or chopped. Guys seriously reaching for content
That video is how I found out about that entire event. So I also spent some time watching that video confused thinking it was a dad fighting his son cause I've never heard of Dad or this event until that video popped up
Joe Rogan was misled by a clip he watches, retells his emotional reaction to seeing the clip on his podcast, and then gets corrected and admits he's wrong. Nothing really happened.
Alternatively, hearing the word "dad" and letting his brain fill in the blanks to concoct this insane story is even funnier to me. It's like he just heard the word and was suddenly a victim of the Mandela Effect.
@@GRPABT1 why. Do you actually think his life was in danger...? Yall are treating a 26 yo adult stranger like it's your god damn teenager kid, it's goofy as hell...
Charlie: goes on 4 minute rant about how stupid joe must be to not read the tittle or have the sound on Also Charlie: Joes video had no sound and misleading tittle
Yeah Charlie taking an L on this one, he saw a click bait video with a misleading title and got tricked, big whoop who cares. And then tries to childly shame a 55 year old man on his body. I really don't get the purpose of this video
@Zeltzamer wow Joe rogan cares about child abuse. That's such a bad take for him to have right? Lmao. It's crazy to see the influencer hive mind at work. He was corrected live on air. literally no one was "misinformed" for more than 2 minutes. Go ahead and try to convince me I'm wrong. I'd love to see your mental gymnastics
@@bluelax99able Crazy how you think that me criticizing Joe Rogan means I think child abuse is good. The guy is aware he has a large audience and should probably do at least a couple minutes of Google research before he starts accusing someone of a crime as serious as abusing their kid. Such a bad take, right? If you think everyone who disagrees with you is the enemy, you may have schizophrenia. Get that checked out.
@@zeltzamer4010mostly cause he’s just a regular guy and he doesn’t care to pick up slack for people who care about things that don’t matter. He took a video that he was mislead by and doesn’t have a big team behind the scenes. It’s really not that deep and something everyone does if they don’t stay glued to the internet. Especially if a friend sends you a clip, you probably wouldn’t dig into it too deep if you don’t really care for it. Wild what having common sense can do man
“How could he misinterpret this video, he’d have to have it on mute and not be paying attention at all” Charlie says over and over, “then he mentions he watched a video with fake voice over misleading him to believe they are actually father and son” Wow Charlie I wonder how he could misinterpret the video. It’s weird how you say he had to have the video on mute over and over again and then at the end say he watched something with different audio, so he didn’t have it on mute? I don’t get this video at all…
@@billybob4455well when you are going to bring it up on one of the most popular podcasts of all time, than yes, absolutely… are you hearing yourself 😂😂😂

@@SFbayArea94121 !? not that thered be anything wrong with it if it was meant to be awareness for ukraine but yellow and blue are the colors for supermega, the youtube channel he runs with his friend, ryan magee.
This is just how Joe's podcast works. He sees something for the first time with no context, immediately reacts to it, Jamie researches it WHILE Joe is reacting, and then they have their "Ohhh I see" moment. That's literally just the JRE formula.
@@brad_is_name2161 no, nothing about this is “national news” again, you live in a corner of the internet….this is in no way shape or from important information to misinform in the first place
Charlie has a fragile ego apparently. I remember when he got super but hurt about chat disagreeing with him when he compared the steam deck to an ipad. lmao

Yeah this was a complete overreaction on Charlie’s part. Internet brain is what this is 😂. Like if this happened irl, you simply say “It’s actually fake” both people laugh about it, and then move on. But honestly I’ve seen Charlie’s streams, and he’s kind of a dick to both the people commenting in his streams and to his gf
@@ImMeE19 yeah. Huge Mistake.... these reaction channels are all jars empty and just need to make big deal about everything. Charlie hasnt been like this before 😑 usually younger creators will go this route.
@Jaddy ya, overall, I think Charlie is a really generous, kind, and overall great guy. But there have been a few vids lately where it really just feels like his shit talking is misplaced / undeserved.
It’s an understandable error…He saw a voiced over video of what was titled dad vs son. You even said he corrected himself later in the show. Why make a video over this?
@@biosaber585 according to Old Smokey you have to enjoy everything that’s ever existed in the entire universe otherwise you’re not finding joy. You have to agree and like everything
Given his age yeah, but his performance career partly explains this The guy (Nathan Barnatt) was/is a physical comedian in the same vein as Jackie Chan & Buster Keaton. Seeing his showreel on his main personal channel (non characters) alone is just remarkable what he’s achieved physically
I boxed my dad once back in the day. I had head gear on. I would get a bit wild and he would pop me to get me to settle down. Everyone at the gym was looking at us funny, but at my young age I didn't think about the context in the same way. I mean I was wearing head gear. Didn't give it a second thought.
I certainly would. Anyone in of sound mind and of age who does anything of their own free will is entertainment. Ah, who am I kidding, I never watch boxing.
when you’re already questioning one thing then you see misinformation giving evidence to a previous question you might be less likely to take it as misinformation
I laughed so hard in this video at so many points in the video lol. The only other video I laughed so hard in was when you pulled out your drawings of your dad 😂
NGL, I respect Joe Rogan having a certified silly moment. Like I can’t even be mad at this, It’s like when your dad gets super confused or tricked by something stupid on the internet.
Except he constantly spreads misinformation about trans people and other marginalized groups, so I don't find his chronic misinformed believed to be that "silly"
@@agoo7581 well if it makes you feel and you better the things Joe says about those marginalized groups don't cause me to hate them whereas whenever I listen to people actually from those groups I generally tend to hate them because they all have no respect for anyone and hate themselves more than anyone else around them. And when you try to tell them cold hard facts like the fact that the suicide rate amongst the trans Community has only been growing over the last couple of years they all stick their fingers in their ears and say I can't hear you I can't hear you cuz they don't want to deal with facts
It truly was such a sad story, it made me tear up so much. The dad should be letting his son hit him in the balls to display how much he loves him not beat his son up.
@Kiyo Takeda luckily for me I have two very well behaved children that know better than to do things like that but its because of how I use to parent them that they're well behaved. Nowadays when they mess up all I have to do is ask em do you want to sit down and talk or do you want option 2? They always want to sit and talk 😊
6:40 I love how after realizing what he did Joe Rogan just says, "I'm such a sucker...". He already knew that we're going to be a million people clowning on him for this. I mean people already do that to him on a daily basis but this is definitely a big one for him.
Poor Matt. Not only abused by his own father but humiliated in front of so many people. And all this right after the "allegations". I hope he can recover from all this 🙏
@Don't Read My Profile Photo you waste your time for nothing we all laugh while your trying to fill that empty void in your heart stay strong little dude💪
Joe puts himself in their shoes and just imagines how he’d fckn destroy his son and said “man this is so wrong, we have failed as fathers” it’s actually pretty wholesome
Well every Male from every species has to consider that one day his son might try to challenge him, it’s not that uncommon on planet earth. You can’t just let him kill you lol but you have to remind him that you are his father, personally I’d feel more of a “my son, I know you can’t tell, but this is hurting me more than it’s hurting you”
Joe Rogan: "It's so awful! How could a father DO this to his own son?" JRE team guy: "They're not father-son. They're both RU-vidrs, and one them has the handle of 'Dad'. It's from a RU-vidr boxing match." Joe Rogan: "... I'm such a sucker." So wholesome to see such a big Dad Moment™ from Joe Rogaine. 😂
Hopefully realizing how big of a sucker he is in this instance will result in some introspection as to all the other bullshit he falls for and likes to spread on his show. Probably not, though.
@@cryb0rg if you have a brain it won't affect you. I'm not disagreeing, he's sometimes delusional but can't be fault for other's stupidity. lmao for real, to be fair he does thousands of hours of podcast content, and most his takes are on the spot and under researched while usually baked, tipsy, or both
@@wyatttuttle5135 no no. not what happened. He was told he was wrong after the clip. He didn’t go research it himself. Let’s not give credit to the transphobic conspiracy theorist
When the space suit is on, Rogan has left orbit. At least, that's the pattern I've seen from watching him. He was feeling that good ol' compassion for his fellow man when he thought of the clickbait vid thanks to some chanterelles, possibly.
I watched that match and I was like "Dad is really dominating the Matt Watson rn". But watching the same match with Joe's description takes in into a whole new hilarious level. Dad didn't just dominate his "son", he took him to school and beats him within an inch of his life with the Principal's name plate 🤣
For those unfamiliar with the research process. Rogan doesn’t have a “team” of people who give him give him a script or anything like that. He has Young Jamie who does everything production wise and fact checks him while the podcast is being recorded. He probably asked Rogan if he wanted to edit it out and opted not to. So what you’re seeing is him ok with being wrong. Funny af because it does show Rogans age just terribly misunderstood as far as the joke goes. With all respect to the man Charlie. I guarantee joe doesn't have a "whole team" that vets videos he brings up on the show. He literally says this all the time, he's surprisingly honest to his viewers and makes mistakes all the time because of this.
Yeah, there's literally zero premeditation on what Joe and the guest will talk about. It's literally him shooting the shit. It's honestly more foolish to expect it to be some kind of extravagant production. It's literally always just been him, guest(s), and one producer.
