John Force powered to his 150th Funny Car win on Sunday, rolling to the milestone victory at the 32nd annual Magic Dry Absorbent NHRA Northwest Nationals.
Force, the 16-time Funny Car world champion and the NHRA’s winningest driver, beat Ron Capps in the final round thanks to his run of 3.971-seconds at 320.58 mph in his PEAK Chevrolet Camaro. Capps ran 4.018 at 309.91 in the final round. It marked Force’s first victory in 25 races dating back to last season and his ninth career win at Pacific Raceways.

When "Strategy" starts being declared as cheating, Then they might as well just do away with the tree and just run an "Instant green" or End qualifying sessions and just "Round Robin" and "Run what cha' brung"...."Cheating" is when the course of action one takes doesn't comply with the rules of the game, Not when one guy's maneuver works against the person you're rooting for !...The degree [or lack ] of sportsmanship doesn't always agree with everyone when a championship contention is on the line...This instance is no different from athletic sports (except perhaps MLB baseball) in "win" situations. It's the fruits of advantage in having a team with more than one "Go-to" guy...If Force had 16 cars that qual'ed, Nobody could say jack shit about cheating..Now because somebody's favorite was on the loosing end of Force's game plan, It supposed to mean he cheated ???...BULLSHIT !... I don't know how long you've been involved in drag racing or to what degree but I could come up with some BEAUTIES pertaining to REAL CHEATING that happened including far back as during my tenure days in comp eliminator. NOWDAYS...THE ONES REALLY BEING CHEATED ARE YOU GUYS IN THE STANDS !... COMPLIMENTARY OF NHRA !!! Obviously people like you don't understand the total business side of Drag-Racing from the racer's side of the fence which is why the seats are starting to look like NASCAR. I see they're now trying out new shit like going back to quarter mile for Double A fuel (at select events), and outlaw-mototed pro stocks...I'm not impressed...I was done after they started "4-Wide" !!!...That's not drag racing, That's a fuckin steeplechase !!! I was hoping to see "Pops" win his 150th last week when I was there in person at Sonoma. I was gutted that his car couldn't get out of reverse in the semis. But this week, no one, not even the drag racing gods was gonna stop him. Congrats to John and the entire Force Organization on accomplishing this milestone. #150

I remember watching this. This was awesome. Old man went out there and got it done. Then he ran into the stands and had to get helped back at the end of the broadcast. Climbed over the fence and everything. This was epic.

Had the opportunity to talk with John some years ago at The Strip in Las Vegas. Truly a wonderful guy. Told him I was from Alaska and he got all excited that I came that far to watch racing. Congratulations John!

Won his first in Montreal in 87 sure wish they still ' came here to race. I go to the Sanair track every second weekend looking at the start line dreaming to see these guys race again. Congrads John on the 150th win.

Had the privilege of being in the stands to see John's 150th. After the next final, he jumped 2 fences to get up in the stands with the fans, right where we were! What an awesome experience! After, we walked down to where his car was parked on display by the stage and he comes walking out of the building to get in the SUV pulling his funny car! Shook his hand and congratulated him on his 150th!

From 1987 in Canada to 2019 in Washington, what a journey and struggle John has had along with great success. Congratulations to John. You know, back in the early 1990's, racers used this expression when describing Joe Amato: "Joe knows drag racing", I think we can say that for the past 32 years, John knows drag racing.
