Here are true masters at work, after 50 years listening to rock and blues 💙... That Buddy is such a great player...matched to Mick, another masteris incredible. That's the video that lead me to Mists of Time .... One of the most beautiful songs ever written 🌬️
Mick Taylor is the greatest guitar player the Rolling Stones ever had and one of the best blues players of all time! Likewise, John Mayall is the the godfather of English blues. Great voice! What a killer combination!
love those mick taylor blues runs, always surprises, tone so smooth. his generation of guitarists is dropping right and left but he's on the younger side of things. we still have time to appreciate his incredible talent
Got to talk with him for about an hour before his first show with the Bluesbreakers. He knew the shoes he was stepping into. He opened with a Freddie King tune then welcomed John on stage. Absolutely incredible performance.
Wow, never heard of Buddy Whittington even though I've been a big fan of Mayall's since the 60s. This guy's got some licks and to me outshone Mick Taylor.
Oh ya! Mick Taylor and Buddy Whittington. Two great guitarists playing together. complementing each other and bringing out the best in each other's play. What a treat to hear.
Daud musa.. Actually Elexis kornerwas the father of British , but I was wrong in a previous comment. He himself was a fine guitarist and had more legends come through his band. I always loved the song nemesis kornersings the blues in heaven buy a female whom I cant recall the name..
@@deborahbrown6408 Yes its Alexis and I found but forgot since, the song I was referring to "Alexis Korner Still Sings The Blues In Heaven. Oops, just came back. Sally Barker did it on the TV show, The Voice I think. I first heard it on some radio bout 10 years ago and I liked it so much but when I started searching it took me days to finally find it. Of course you can find his songs to. He had many who would become icons. Plant Jagger etc. Etc. I had thought myself, the same, that it was as this conversation goes, thinking May all, until I found that Elexis came before. Also you will see a few different spellings of his first and last but I'm sure this is the most used. Hope you find it cause she sang it beautifully..
I saw John Mayall along with Mick Taylor, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie in a bar in Green Bay, Wisconsin in the mid 70’s. They were one of the best bands I’ve ever seen and Mick is a true virtuoso who was playing Albert King lick for lick. He was amazing!
I was having a bad day until I heard this. Now I'm floating 2 miles up there somewhere with no cares in the world. Never underestimate the power of the blues. Both guitars firmly on point.
Wow. . Mick Taylor. Always been my favorite guitarist. This video ive never seen before. I loved it. Wow. Mick played extremely well. This will be a classic to me. I have always loved listening to Mick Taylor play ever since i was young. And this all started when i began to listen to a masterpiece in rock called ..EXILE ON MAIN STREET. This Stones album.was gold. Mick Taylor played just incredible. . .
Absolutely echo my thoughts on that one.. For me MIck Taylor was the Rolling Stones... Totally transfrormed their Sound and was with them for what for me are their best albums by a long shot! Incedie Blues Musician... Few I'd rather listen to cept maybe Jerry Miller, Duane Allman, MIke Bloomfield or Albert Collins for that matter
Ha yes and he quit right after that album. He couldn't deal with the madness going on at Nellcote. Dang i hate these auto words they put wrong! Anyway the Stones made their finest albums when Taylor was lead.
@@JohnMurphy-pw3sy His playing was great but Keith is the one who mostly decided where the song would go. If not he would fire you or kill you. Both had great interplay.
There's some wonderful interplay between the two guitarists. Even the other band members think so,. judging from their facial expressions. What a pleasure to hear Mick Taylor again.
Who else could tie up such a stunning line up of talent to produce such a stupendous example of English influenced blues. Take a bow Mr Mayall OBE We all owe you so much.
Watching Mick Taylor play one realizes the power and the beauty contained in a simple guitar fretboard. You just wanna dive in, explore the possibilities and blow your mind. Sounds hippie doesn't it? But imagine yourself with Mick Taylor's fingers and mind...
@@maupric Maybe. Looks like they are tuned down a half step though (track is in F# but they're playing in G position) Makes the bends easier.... trick used by Hendrix, Stevie Ray etc etc...
Wow I love this song and awesome video this guys are awesome wows beautyful music love it thanks to the music enhancement network for uploading this fantastic video and song thanks you made my early morning 👍👍👍👍🦋👍🦋👍🦋🌹👍🦋🌹🦋👍🦋🌹👍🦋🌷👍
Increíble el talento del Gran Jhon Mayall!! Extraordinario músico de todos los tiempos. Cómo logro fusionar a la perfección el Jazz y el blues . Muchos años para el gran maestro Saludos desde México!!
Wow what life Mick Taylor must have had with The Stones at their absolute peak.... never gets The Credit... but he sure me It happen.... he was the Stones from 69 to 73.. . Thank you Sir!
1983...Honolulu Symphony Hall... Mayall with Mick Taylor & John Mcvee.. Perhaps the greatest concert I ever attended... Under the influence of Kona Gold....
Sat about 10 feet from him for a solo show in a small jazz club about 35-40 years ago and along with the Stones Exile on Main Street tour two of my favorite musical events I’ve ever attended. His slide work is up there with Ry Cooder and Derek Trucks.
The first record I bought with my first paypacket was John Mayell and the Bluesbreakers. His music still brings back memories of that happy day. Mick Taylor, such a big influence while he was with the Rolling Stones, shoulda stayed with the them! What a career choice!! Gives me hope that partying keeps you fit!
Onde mandee......kece' urang awa'. Ambo inge' waktu mudo. Waktu sekolah sma. Kiniko awa' 67, lah tuo. Tapi dengar musik ini, awa' rasa mudo lai... Rmpoa hadir lagi nih....🤓🤓🤓
Spent many moons before the great internet came along and places like "Life to the Blues" arose, trying to find music by John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. It was near impossible. Thank goodness it is all within reach now. Don't know what I did all the years I was without it.
Just loved Mayall since hearing Laurel,Canyon at s howl music lessons . At last my daughter got tickets for his 80th tour in Aberdeen, cancelled st last minute and he’s never come back , devastated , but still listen to him , got all vinyl from Beano to Jazz Blues Fusion .
