@@easydubs420 yeah I remember that Micah: Why don't you fuck off back to Mexico huh? Javier: *punches micah in his stupid face* Why don't you fuck off back to hell?!
Dutch was really unstable at the time so it was easy for micah to step into his head and make him paranoid of his closest gang members stabbing him in the back.
Well it's because Arthur was "doubting" all his bad decisions while Micah was encouraging him. Everytime Arthur tried to make Dutch see reason, Micah would step in.
@@suvvushi idk sometimes id be on my way somewhere. Just talking as i walked by and people would say i was following them lol. Like nah you're just in my way.
@@suvvushi I was greeting everyone at the party after we rescued Sean, and I greeted Lenny and Hosea, as both were trying to sleep and they were like "dude, get out of here, lemme sleep, you're annoying af"
You can't help but to admire John's Character. Despite being an outlaw, he show that he does care and that he's a stand up dude, especially during that time and emotional environment.
@kshamwhizzle Arthur took no sh*t from anyone and had some great sarcasm. John just agrees with everyone on every remark about him: If Abigail says he's a useless fool, he agrees with it; If Uncle calls him a miserable sack of sh*t, he agrees with him. John is no fun man at all, rather he surrounds himself with people who make fun of him (Uncle, Arthur, etc.). I can't even recall any joke or witty response of his. He just acts like dumb but serious cowboy. Whereas Arthur was intelligent enough to keep a journal and see the gangs' demise when John couldn't.
It truly takes a weak, miserable, pathetic person to pick on a child. I really respect what John says afterwards “leave my son the hell alone, you’ve got something to say, say it to me you son of a bitch”
Now the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon, little boy blue and the man in the moon. When you comin home son? I don't know when, but we're gonna have a good time then, dad. We're gonna have a good time then.
If you consider Micah's upbringing, it'll be no wonder he became the kind of person he was.. I mean, his father literally taught him, "Sympathy is for the weak"
Dutch shoved her away. Of course it went to crap. Where else would it go? You could say John did the same to Jack, but he pulls Jack back to him, and works to undo any damage done. There's a major difference in effort between these two scenarios.
Itchyscrotum _testicles Just look at Jack as an adult in the first RDR. He looks like a combination of Dutch, Javier, and John. Abigail slept with a lot of the gang members.
I legitimately don’t understand how nobody just shot Micah when nobody else was looking. Arthur easily could’ve killed him right after the Strawberry massacre and told Dutch he got hit in the shootout.
At that point in the game, Micah doesn’t seem to have done *too* much. Arthur definitely doesn’t trust him, and only breaks him out of jail on Dutch’s behalf, but at this point Micah hasn’t started manipulating Dutch or anything else. It’s not until Chapter 6 where I think Micah really started to play his hand, and if that mission happened then, Arthur probably would’ve done that, yeah
I've been playing this game for the 1st time w/ my roommate (who's played it before) & Ever since we started Chapter 6, I've just constantly be asking her, "Can we shoot Micah? Is that an option?" I've also asked if we can shoot Dutch, lol
Micah is a Character that can only exist in a heavily scripted Video Game such as Red Dead Redemption 2. Realistically speaking, Arthur and John already suspect him of being a rat, if not just a corrosive entity inside the Gang itself. Given the amount of turmoil that follows Micah wherever he goes, anybody with deductive reasoning can identify him as the problem, and the problem with this Story? John and Arthur both do exactly that. Yet, they do nothing, because Rockstar doesn't let them. Were we discussing Human Beings interacting, rather than Video Game Characters, I do not see Micah surviving after Chapter 4, at the latest. He'd either be exiled at best (for his sake), or shot in cold blood at worst.
I mean, it's because nobody really knew anything yet. However, if I was Arthur, when fighting Micah on that cliff, I would've spit on him. Pulled a Downes on that man
@@Broken_Savior if arthur had any sense, he'd have put two in his back in strawberry while he was getting his guns back. "dutch told me to come get you" "aight cool lemme just kill an entire town first, brb" "uh, no?" sorry dutch, crazy fool went and got hisself shot, weren't nothing i could do
Me too. I didn't care much for Abigail towards the end tho. John tried so hard and all he did was get nagged at. He got nagged at all through the main game but he deserved most of it. Epilogue he was actually trying
@@lilwindex2320 Did you watch the next scene where John plays with Jack? It's part of Johns character development, he was very ungrateful at the beginning, but grew into a loving father
... because everyone knows Arthur is the better man, and they hold him to that standard. Micah is just a rat, and I don't think a lot of the members see that much good in him.
@@krypticunlimited6925if Charles wasn't held back or didn't restrain himself he legit would have killed Micah and Micah wouldn't have done shit to stop him Micah is a pretty decent shooter, not quite on par with prime Arthur but still good enough to be considered skilled however as far as physical prowess goes he couldn't even overpower a near dying Arthur
Jack: "have you ever had spaghetti?" John: "what's that?" Jack: "it's food! It looks like worms but it's..." Arthur: *crashes his horse into a bridge* Dutch: "WHY IS IT ALWAYS YOU?!"
I loved how Micah starts raising his hands up when confronted showcasing how pathetic he is without a gun or against someone who is capable of defending ones self
*0:57** Seeing John defending his son is so good. He hadn't considered Jack his son before, but he definitely was. The evolution of both characters is fantastic.*
Exemplar Gaming Jack didn’t really have much time under the spotlight, so that’s not very fair. The one thing we saw him do was avenge his father, and his future is left ambiguous.
TheTotalmuffin I mean to be fair he also called my beautiful horse a “damn nag” so no I was not particularly fond of Adult Jack with his wispy creepy mustache and surly manners.
The camp system is really revolutionary in this game. Remember the days where NPC’s would just idly stand or walk around and only interact with dialogue when you talked to them? They really were able to make the camp feel lively in a way few of any other video games have
Almost losing him made him realise how precious he was to him. And he was pissed with himself that he was in denial just because he was scared of being a father.
John was such a deadbeat in the first few chapters. His character development between the final chapters and Red Dead 1 is incredible. He turned into a completely different person.
John was literally up to nothing in the first few chapters. It's actually amazing how he went from an actual idiot to one of the baddest Rockstar protagonists to date.
@@ericbaldemor8307 John was never an actual idiot, he's always been quite intelligent and among the smartest in the gang along with Arthur, Hosea and Dutch. He only acted dumb because he was young and wanted to avoid responsibility. Hosea points this out in a camp conversation.
I like the way John treats Micah: doesn't play with him, just goes straight to him saying his opinion in the most manliest way. To be honest it was fate that John killed Micah and not Arthur. After all, Micah didn't just tyrannize him, but also his family. (With among his family the whole gang as well)
Jack: "It's food, it looks like worms...." *Arthur flies off his horse and breaks his back* Jack and John continue their conversation like nothing happened Dutch from the distance: "Why is it always you?"
For Dutch, it was all about self, mainly himself. As long as he had money, everyone else was expendable. Within a little while, Dutch became an O'Driscoll
@@louisrage2ndchannel126 RDR 3 will probably be a prequel to RDR 2. If it follows Jack it'll be well into WW1 timeline and I don't think they'll go there.
“Come on play, pa!” “What did you call me?” :( 0:05 The reason i think John questioned Jack was because i don’t think John thought Jack was really his son because Abigail had romances with most of the gang before she got with John or Jack never called him it... :(
I just love the fact that when Micha acts tough he does it to people that he sees weaker them him. But here when he did it to Jack and John confronted him like a man Micha slowly backs up. It's the same when he finally decides to fight Arthur but only chooses to do so when he realizes he's sick. And even then he couldn't kill him in the fight.
John in chapter one to three is a terrible father to Jack, a even worse husband, and above all else is an idiot, but after Jack gets kidnapped he learns of all the mistakes he made and tries his best to become better then he was before, sometimes it worked and sometimes it failed, but at least he's trying.
@@_Atreides_ Arthur is much stronger than John buddy. John is a great shot but it doesn't mean that he is as good a bare knuckle fighter as a shooter. Micah is heavier and a mean bastard with no principles, I think he's capable of ripping almost anybody's head clean off if he has enough reasons for that. And the fact that he struggled against Arthur doesn't mean he couldn't have won the fight in case Arthur was healthy
@@JohnDoe-vp9ey john and Arthur were the toughest out of the whole gang. John had no problem punching Arthur in camp all the time. And at the end he took at micahs gang and the rest of his old gang.
I think it was more that he was caught off guard and Jack calling him “Pa” kind of made him do a mental double take. He wasn’t expecting it, but I don’t think he was mad that Jack referred to John as his father. If anything I’m sure that, if this was applied in a real life scenario, it would have left John smiling afterwards.
@@Emilystarks No, he didn't believe Jack was his son because Abigail was a prostitute and slept with a lot of gang members, the only ones that were actually said were Bill, Javier and Dutch, but there's a lot of evidence pointing toward Uncle and Arthur being with her too. That's why at the beginning of RDR2 Arthur was always angry at John for ditching the gang for a year, he left because he was afraid of being a father and he didn't think he was.
There is an interaction between Arthur and Mary-Beth where he tells her the truth about his condition and how his sickness helped him see the world from a different perspective, that he sees it better. There's another one where Abigal tells Arthur she's very grateful to have him as a friend and that she feels safe with him after rescuing John with Sadie.
