The idea that Joker announces his villainous schemes to Batman through Discord calls is one of the greatest ideas ever created

that exchange of "what even is Zarbar?" "I think he's agnostic" hit me like a freight train and I will never be the same

I like to believe Joker would absolutely just start gaslighting Batman and all of the villains are either in on it, or are pretending because they are scared of him. Like Joker spends YEARS taking photos of himself and photoshopping Zarbar into them, making fake news posts, just preparing for the ONE day he's going to completely fuck with Batman. Maybe he's had Zarbar in a bunch of villain lineups and just WAITED for the day for Batman to notice.

I love the fact that it escalated from Zarbar doing absolutely nothing to Shooting Cancer Rays, it’s hilarious.

I love the idea that there's always just been an extra criminal running around that nobody ever noticed...just slowly giving people cancer...and looking for loose change in the couch cushions...fucking bravo jj.

It's baffling to me that Zarbar is only a tad stranger than Joker's actual sidekicks. One time he stole a baby gorilla and killed its mother with joker gas, then trained the baby gorilla to the point where it was not only an efficient do-crimer, but proficient with firearms and parachutes. It then gained cognizance after one of their jobs gone wrong, killed itself out of guilt, and left the Joker depressed for like 5 minutes. Zarbar is only slightly stranger than this.

It is genuinely weird how every scenario you put Joker in, it always feels like something he _would_ do just to mess with Batman. From suddenly having a new sidekick that he's had all along to doing community service. He's so beyond parody it's hilarious.

Robin snapping back with "oh yeah nothing gets past you batman" is comedy gold.

I love how Batman just accepts that they’ll keep going in a circle about Zarbar so he just goes along with it before being hit with cancer rays and bat mite

The absolute shock at the cancer powers and being just done when bat mite showed up was absolutely hilarious I actually died

To be fair, gaslighting Batman into believing he’s always had a little, green man, who shoots cancer, is totally be something Joker would do

The fact that all of the images are screenshots from an actual episode leads me to believe that SolidJJ was just casually watching a 50's Batman cartoon, stumbled upon Zarbar and had an idea to make this video.

Even if Bruce is telling Robin this kind of information this late, you got to appreciate the time he's putting towards him. Better late than never, right?

I had to look him up and yes indeed, ZarBOR (not "ZarBAR") is an existing character. He is the same species of 5th dimensional imp as Bat-Mite and Mr. Mxyzptlk from Superman. Cancer rays are not really a thing they regularly do, but it's almost certainly possible for them since they're practically reality-warping gods. Zarbor only shows up in that one episode of the New Adventures of Batman and surprisingly nowhere else even though he would be far from the weirdest thing in the entirety of the DC Multiverse.

In case you’re wondering, Zarbor is actually a reality warping imp from the fifth dimension (like mr. Mxyzptlk and Bat-Mite, which would explain why they are both green here). He only appeared in a two parter “Have an evil day”.

I still remember the episode that aired on '98. When Batman defeated Joker once again, Zarbar shouted from the distance. When Batman turned around, Zarbar shot him with the cancer ray and got him lung cancer. It then continued with Batman cooking Kryptonite with his sidekick Robin and selling it to the bad guys. I am not going to spoil the end of the episode.

This might be my favorite Solid jj skit. I love Zarbar. I've collected every DC comic he doesn't appear in. Those are the best Zarbar moments. The character is at his best when he's implicit. Like, you know Zarb's behind the action, collecting change out of the lair's couch for The Joker's schemes. Or possibly for himself. I like to think it's for himself. Zarbar's indifference to the world around him, and the plot in general, is what makes him click for me. He really deserves all the neglect he gets.

How could he forget Zarbar, he's such a classic character. Hell my 7th birthday was themed around him for gods sake! There was green beans with mustaches everywhere!

Well it's spelled Zarbor but I just checked and... he's real. Zarbor was a real character who featured briefly in The New Adventures of Batman. He wasn't Joker's sidekick but... yeah. Since he was a 5th dimensional imp he presumably could shoot cancer rays if he wanted to.

I like to imagine that Zarbar and Batmite are like those psychic parasites from Rick and Morty. They show up at your house, then manipulate your memories in order to ret-con themselves into your life. Then nobody even questions why Batman has a fifth dimensional fanboy who follows him around, yet somehow never uses his awesome power to help out. Batman himself is of course unaffected by this, seeing as his cowl is lined with tin foil.

I would’ve been like: “No wonder we’ve never shown any symptoms of Cancer! Bat-Mite’s been keeping us alive this whole time!”
