What was really great in this episode was the way that Sam kept complementing Jordan. Like saying he's a hell of a lot better than some expensive government surveillance satellites with Jordan standing right there to hear it. With his Dad missing, Jordan needs some male validation and Sam's pride and confidence in Jordan is really helping the kid come into his own as a superhero.
I really love this version of Sam Lane. His caution and such regarding Superman doesn't outweigh that he's *seen* how good a man Clark is. And, of course, he gave him two grandsons, who half-alien or not will always be *his* boys.
Also his confidence increased since the episode when he saved Jon. He acted like a baller- with good reason and i loved how his mom looked so impressed by her baby boy. He is definitely proving himself extremely capable in front of his mothers eyes. It’s one thing to hear that your son saved someone from a burning building but to see it for yourself is extremely different entirely. And she was so proud of him. All the encouragement a child needs is from their loved ones and he has it.
Honestly how far he’s come especially at this age and his powers I feel like since he’s naturally born with them in his DNA, he can definitely beat the kids with special abilities from the D.O.D like the team tag was with.
I’m pretty sure he can beat tag if they fight again since last time they fought jordan barley had control of his powers also his invulnerability was acting up since he was dealing with power instability
I'm so glad he is proving jor-el wrong about him never being like Clark. He-by far-has had the best character development so far coming from someone with anxiety about the world and people to now being able to help and save them while simultaneously helping himself by being a part of peoples lives is great storytelling
Jordan got skill!! I think Lois will see why Jordan needs to be out there protecting the world while Clark is M.I.A(Missing in action). Also a little foreshadowing-The superman theme played while Jordan saved them:)
I love Jordan's character development and the Smallville vibe. I'm glad he got trained, but I kind of wish we got some scenes where Clark was also helping to train him. Maybe "uncle Morgan" will help save the day and provide additional training....or something(?). I also really like the Tao/Edge character and want to see him redeemed. :-(
I want a redemption arc for Tao too but he has a long way to go. If I was Clark I would never forget or forgive the intent to murder my family but I can see this Clark moving past it
When does the head nod after saving them its subtle and small but just like his father... he needs a suit by season end !... he seems to have sooo much more power than clark had at his age I wonder if they will go into how his cells generate and store power
I can just imagine the bloopers, Jordan and the dad look at Lois and both say secret identity. Lois respond well sorry. Director nope we are not keeping it.
I'm glad Jordan's training with his father Aka Superman. In this moment when he used FreezeBreathe & H-Vision, he has better control of his powers. The only No-No was when Lois screamed his name out, Secret Identity like Dad Lois.
It’s been stated in the comics heat vision moves at the speed of light, and if he could perceive it moving in slow motion then he just went faster than light, making him way faster than any of the other cw characters, including the flash have canonically gone.
@@davids2cents594 Oh yeah, guess so. But across the show Barry’s speed has been very inconsistent. But remember Jordan just got super speed and that was his first time in a ‘Flashtime’ of sorts and being comparable to the highest cw speedsters. So that means his powers will get stronger overtime, while when flash went faster than the nuke, he was already late into his career.
@@animating2781 I believe in season 8 flash has been at one of his fastest times ever, so might still be faster than superman and Jordan, though judging by the rate of Jordan’s powers, Jordan could hypothetically surpass him (especially if Barry gets his speed nerfed for like the 15th time)
I love how powerful the new superman's getting haha u can't realy call him superboy when he's clearly stronger then superman haha its the human side of him that makes him stronger n its amazing how they are showing it on screen can't wait to see him get his own suit similar to superman's would so cool haha but with a hud haha
@@adambramhall2909 And what do you base that on? So far all we have seen points to him being *_less_* powerful than Superman. And being half human would mean that he only has *_half_* the potential for Superpowers that a *_full_* Kryptonian would have.
I don't know why, but for some reason on 1:28 I think of the songs "Song to the Siren", "Time in a Bottle" and "Sweet Dreams". What songs do you think of in this scene? 😄
Our Jonathan is getting super powers. Bizarro and Lana superwoman have a backward symbol them Superman and Tal-Rho. Jonathan superboy from the picture have a normal symbol like Superman
It's due to the X Kryptonite found in the Smallville mines. When made into an inhalable drug, it can give users temporary Kryptonian like powers, though as far as I can gather the effects seem to be different for everyone. The common powers that pop up seem to be increased endurance, super strength and heat vision. Cold breath, super senses, flight and super speed seem to be rare side effects. But against someone with Kryptonian heritage like Jordon, it's clear the drug has its limits.
@@Ab-lo3py X Kryptonite has been shown to increase Superman's strength and Superman has used X Kryptonite (In crystal form) to weaken and subdue Bizarro, since what strengthens Superman has the opposite effect on Bizarro. Also, I wouldn't say everyone is Superman, more like they have cheap knock off versions of his powers that are very limited when put to the test against a real Kryptonian. Jordon essentially one punched two dudes twice his size, both high on X Kryptonite, with ease and he is only half Kryptonian and his powers are still maturing.
