I really needed this. Today I had a really bad mental health day. I know I only have a parasocial relationship with the creators of this podcast, but like... having something to look forward to that makes me smile is so important. It hit me that I almost never got to listen to another Respect the Dead and like...that would suck.

The overplucking struggle is real! You ever seen a film with Marlene Dietrich? Each and every single hair of her brows was painted on by the make-up artist, because Mother Marlene overplucked during her wild bisexual Weimar Berlin youth. Given that Frida Kahlo was on the exact opposite end of the eyebrow spectrum and rocked the sexiest unibrow ever during her entire wild, bisexual life, it is only fair to say that both overplucking and fuck-you-I'm-not-plucking are bisexual culture.

I was really hoping it was a Caelan episode on reading his name, then they pronounced it as gway and I'm just devastated.

Lil' tidbits for the French words: - When placed after a «G» or a «Q», the «U» is silent. - If there is a «E», «I» or «Y» after a «G», the «G» is pronounced like a «J», because the French Academy - sometimes, the «S» before a «T» that is the last letter of a word is also silent, mostly in names. 37:47 My Catholic grandpa was able to get a divorce sometime in the early 50s, but he and my grandma (his second wife) weren’t considered married by the church. Also just realized my grandparents had the exact same age gap as Maria pretended she and Joseph had when they met (30 and 19). 😬 But my grandpa was already divorced when they met, and he and my grandma were together until he died at the age of 82.
