Ayo, i don’t mean to force anything on anyone, but we have various types of evidence for biblical events, if anyone is interested. It all comes down to your choice to put your trust in Jesus Christ. That’s all faith is-TRUST. Unfortunately in these recent years, science and “religion” (as we know them today) have bastardized each other and themselves. Point is, faith is trusting in Jesus. It’s not a blind jump into what people deem “irrational.” Billy Graham said something reminiscent of that. I have no power over you. I can only tell you, but I can’t force you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Check out “HolyLandSite, Cold-Case Christianity, Delafé Testimonies.” There may be more, but those are the ones I know of that have good stuff. Cut away from the third reason, which is honestly the best representation of his character: “Lastly, waging war against good people is bad for the soul. This may not seem important to you now, but it's the most important thing I've said.” This sonuvabitch throws you one of the most bonechilling threats and then follows up by saying that hurting friendly people is unhealthy and that’s all that matters. What a guy.

My favorite part of Joshua Graham is the duality of his character. He's a man of infinite wisdom, but you're still looking at a man who is who he is because of him leading the Legion to a massively humiliating defeat. Yet the wisdom of his words always speaks much louder.
@@Ultimaton100 And it's such a compelling idea, someone trying to do the right thing and make up for their mistakes even when they don't believe they can because it is the right thing to do.

I always side with Joshua Graham and convince him to spare Salts Upon Wounds. Be willing to defend yourself, but also be willing to show mercy towards those who've lost their will to fight. The ending slides also show that Joshua Graham is better off and Salts Upon Wounds is actually worse off, because instead of dying a marytr, he's disgraced.
I feel giving Salt-Upon-Wounds chance to fight is what happened. White Legs are defeated and personal demons of Joshua Graham are at least appeased. Rage he carries will not calm easily.
Joshua Graham is so awesome that I always side with him, regardless of my character's morality on that playthrough. (Like, seriously, does anyone ever pick Daniel and his blithering nonsense?)
Only for the achievement have I ever chose Daniels ending. Which was twice once for the ps3 on the ultimate edition in 2012 and in 2017 when I got my pc and had a moral obligation to get it to 100 percent.
Joshua Graham uses his terrifying presence perk in every conversation 😅😅 Dear god imagine him and boone following you into the fort bwahahahahaha 🤣 #werenotlockedinherewithyou #yourelockedinherewithus

Picking joshua is just the best, you bring the sorrows back to their own beliefs of you remember the gifts that were left by the "father" he told them as kids to defend themselves jsut as he defended the valley from the vault cannibals
I would give my left leg for him to be a permanent companion in nv he’s my favorite character hands down im not even a religious person myself he’s just to good
If it were an option I would just... follow Joshua around wherever he goes. Fuck it, I'm his companion now. We're doing missionary work even though I am an Atheist? Fine, okay. He needs someone to talk him down or look at him disappointedly when he reverts to doing something immoral, just like other companions do? Sure. Lemme carry your bag and debate philosophy with you, Joshua. He'd definitely hate having a companion long-term, but he'd get used to it. I mean you basically are his companion during the White Legs genocidal run, even down to him doing fucked up shit and the courier having the choice to be like, "Wtf, man."

Joshua has got to be my favorite character in any video game, I was raised Christian but broke away from it but after hearing Joshua Graham I gave my life back to God. Love Joshua so much.
@@DimT670 sometimes all you need is to be reminded of what you once had. Joshua Graham helped me to remember God is with me and that I'm not alone in this cruel world
@@Godfearingturkey Hm. To each their own. I’m atheist, and I still think Joshua is a well-written character. I don’t share his beliefs at all but he’s definitely memorable and full of conviction. He makes the DLC worth replaying.
We fall away sometimes and God uses this as an opportunity to teach us and to help us gain perspective and realize the truth that was laid before us by the prophets and by Christ himself. It may be impossible to understand the nature of God, but we are called to righteousness none-the-less.
Even the most devout atheists among us must have faith. Faith the sun will rise and fall as it has all our lives, faith that when you close your eyes to sleep you will awake again, faith that others would not seek to destroy you through poisoning your food or through misplaced acts of violence. The world around us was built and operates on faith, whether we outwardly admit our faith is entirely irrelevant.
@@drokhalis3338 "Patterns exist in the world so my incredibly specific God with all of his rules and lore definitely exists!" I know you had a lot of fun writing your poetry here, but you don't really have anything to say unless someone tells you to say it first. You're conflating spiritual faith with knowledge and predictability, which is just... kinda weird? Not really how the world works at all. Stop letting people think for you, because you've got a lot of incoherent positions from it.
It’s not a pattern that reality was fixated exactly the correct way to permit life, time, mass, and all of reality. I reiterate, whether you outwardly accept your faith, is entirely irrelevant.
@@drokhalis3338 Sorry, but we've actually done enough experiments to know that convenient outcomes don't mean there was intelligent meddling. It hasn't been demonstrated that the origin point of existence was a mind, either. So until there's evidence to the contrary, the default position is a lack of belief. At the end of the day, patterns and routines for the world don't point to a creator by themselves. Causality as a concept doesn't require a creator to exist. Causality just is. Granting all of those things however, observation doesn't equal faith. I'm not sure why you're trying to call it "irrelevant," I think you're confused on what faith actually is. If you're arguing against the Brain in a Vat meme, you should look for someone who believes in it instead of trying to pretend I believe in it so you can vice signal like a good dog.
Honestly, the scariest line is the last one. Joshua doesn't raise his voice at Salt Upon Wounds. He knows he doesn't have to. His rage is pure and cold and sharp as a dagger. He's drawing out Salt Upon Wounds' last moments, forcing him to experience the continual and extended fear of imminent death, not knowing when Joshua will decide to end him, to break him utterly. A lesser voice actor would've portrayed Joshua as more overtly angry, but Keith Szarabajka knew exactly how to portray a man who understood fear and made it a part of his legend.

He says something about how waging war against good people is bad for the soul, and makes a point of it being one of the most important things he says. He threatens to kill you without hesitation to protect his flock, and still takes the time to remind you that the most important thing is to be a good person.
