He wasn’t half of the problem than the Vegas doctor as well as the people around Elvis. He tried to push Elvis to surgery he needed. He got him to detox three times. He tried to have a psychologist work with Elvis. Elvis caught on and banned them from his house after three days. Drugs aren’t like they are now with regulations etc. Dr Nick was someone everyone started learning from over this crap at his expense. He wasn’t the bad guy. E
Everyone makes this guy out to be the bad guy. It's the easy explanation for the death of Elvis. This man was put in a very difficult position. He had a patient who was heavily addicted to major drugs, had a patient who could obtain other doctor's services & a patient who had to live up to the "image" of Elvis every night! I think he did the best he could. Dr. Nick is not the bad guy. It was a combination of greedy management & a relentless public demand. It's easy to blame the doc.
Make no mistake Dr. Nick was no saint, but lets be realistic, Elvis had a drug problem and nobody in the circle that he ran in was willing to stand up and say "Look u got a serious problem." Dr. Nick was wrong for what he did, yes, but don't make Elvis out to be the great one, he was not. He was human above all else and he made mistakes.Unfortunately he made one in Aug that would ultimately cost one man his career and the other his life.
Sue Johnson , I know but I still loved Elivs and I think they did try but if they said anything to him he got mad and got rid of people for trying to help. I guess the people that was around him at the end of his life just stayed to watch out for him . Except the last girlfriend , Ginger. She had to know he had this problem too . I wish she would have at least kept an eye on him . She might could have saved his life that morning .

What do doctors do? They practice medicine. They help their patients, which includes procedures and prescribing medicine. How a patient uses that medicine is not the doctor's responsibility. Elvis was a grown man, not a kid, so no one would say no to Elvis. Could they recommend things, sure. Common sense folks, which not everyone has.
@@CMRinehart he prescribed enough medicine to kill a horse weekly. People trust doctors You're supposed to do what your doctor says if you want to be healthy and this man killed him. This man put him on so many painkillers is colon just about exploded inside his body from impacted poop. Listen,this guy is old,infirm probably has health issues,he might need money for healthcare etc....that does not give rise for people like you to judge this man...I suggest you read his book,and it will fully explain his dedication not only as a Dr but as a friend,no Dr would do the hours this guy did.

Such bs why are all the names hidden from camera except Benadryl I saw Vicodin which u don’t mix with Benadryl and the bottles of liquid name was not visible do not believe he’s being totally honest if I was a dr id say placebos too
Dr. Nick has gotten a bad rap. He was a good man who tried to save Elvis by attempting many times to wean him off drugs and by replacing capsule contents with sugar. When Dr. nick refused to give Elvis the drugs he wanted Elvis pulled a gun on him and fired it at the wall. You can't help a grown man if he doesn't want it.
he states in one video Elvis never had a drug dependency ( only once from a doctor in Ca. & that wasn't Dr. Nicks fault.), then says how he tried to wean him off narcotics with placebos....such an evil liar this Quack was.....

I am glad he didn’t. I am not saying Dr Nick was a saint… They weren’t all of Elvis pills. It was proven in court that Dr Nicks script pad was forged many times. People called in as him as well. He is the only doctor who got him into rehab three times! His other doctors banked off EP.
He got a raw deal. Elvis had a million other doctors on the side, taking other shit behind the guys back. The guy was broke defending himself. Elvis had a problem

Elvis asked him that his doctor was out of town and if he could get gets pills to hold him over. Marty lacker said , Elvis raided the guys stock in his home basement. Back then, a pharmacist keep drugs in their home also. He had a problem, he was an addict and very obvious. He had two doctors in California and Vegas. Don’t know there names but this was a known fact. He had three nurses Marion COCKE, ms Tish and a couple others..the man never had one source..
His story is a mixed messages. Come on , he knew Elivs had a problem with pills , not after his death . Then he says, Elvis never had the drugs . They were either in his care or the nurses . But then he turns around and admits he done better when he was in the hospital, so they could control it . Well, why didn't you control it when he got out of the hospital ? Makes no sense to me . Elvis knew what he was doing too. I know that and he knew if Dr. Nick didn't give him to him what he wanted another doctor would. I just wish the lies would stop. One third of all children will grow up diabetic in America. Their quality of life is simply terrible when it comes to health. @@dannygibson7356 well, doctors aren't supposed to accept gifts, ask for loans, or overprescribe, his defense for overprescribing was first: 1) he didn't believe he wrote the Rx that he signed ( see 20/20 interview with Geraldo Rivera ), then next defense was, well the Rx was for the whole entourage, not just Elvis...excuse me???since when is writing a RX for a whole group in 1 mans name legal ?? the answer was never legal.....
Dr Nick took him to REHABILITATION THREE TIMES. It was proven in trial that DR NICKs signature was forged as well as people called into the pharmacy as him. It was lenient in those days. Remember they marketed opioids as miracle drugs too. The guys all said they filled placebos with Dr Nick. Billy explained how he’d blow air into some of the pills. Sonny said Elvis started catching on when he wasn’t getting high. Then there was methamphetamines. Handed out like candy. The army drugged Elvis and started him on his binder that lasted from then to the rest of his life.
Elvis wanted his entourage to know he would pay for there medications & healthcare..not being an American but listening to the healthcare debate re Obama 2009 policy does this mean Elvis would be making a pro Democrat or Republican gesture there? No one forced Elvis to take meds. Pills are an easy fix to many problems that's all..Elvis was a drug addict , a womanizer and a narcissist...his career started declining and he spent more than he made .
onè thing that really pisses me off when a famous person passes away from a drug overdose they aways put the blame onto other persons .at the end of the day Elvis was a drug addict he could said no I'm going to.get help .like micheal Jackson who going to say no to.these people .they just go.somewere eles they are drug addicts iv battled drugs a long time if I passed away I made the Choice to take them you don't go blaming other people messing there lives up
