I love the gray clock with the white wax, the white clock is pretty as well. I was surprised by the coral and cherry combo, very pretty together. Your bowls are beautiful and let's not forget the cutie pie pig. Looking forward to next time.

Hi sweet friend, I don’t know what your talking about with the small clock because I loved it. The small clock and the box was my favorite. I was sad when you said it sold. I would of loved to purchase the small clock oh, well lol. I’m always amazed at the out come of your.projects. I think I might try to make a stab at those bees. They look like fun. I absolutely love these videos where you paint multiple items in some of your favorite combos and styles. Very inspiring for both small and large scale items. The only thing I wish is that we had a little more time to see the finished products. If editing, maybe you can line these items up at the end and scroll across everything. I just love these videos. To keep the wax from removing the paint you can also spray the dry paint with some Rustoleum clear matte finishing spray. Worked wonders on the mirror I just did!

Perfect distress on this clock. Love the other little clock too. Yesss on the cherry picked and cowboy coral. The blended color comes out to a mauve and that is pretty too. Coral is really growing on me but a nice sagey green still has my heart. Beautiful makeovers!

So if you can make the paint drip when you add water, what do you seal it with? If you are putting say the pampered chef can outside is it weather proof. I have never used DIY paint, is it ok to put outside with no sealer? I have used mineral paint and it will go outside with no seal. Thank you new to the channel but I love your cottage core site.

DIY Paint is best with a sealer, however after the paint is cured for a few days it's difficult to come off. I painted a brick for outside and it's 2 years later and paint is still on it with no sealer. I do seal the PC cans with DIY Big Top which is not rated for outdoor use but I love it when the cans get chippy and rusty from the outdoors. I have some on my patio from 5 years ago that are in the rain and snow and still looking great.

Are there any circumstances where you would prime the piece before you paint it? I happened to have a gallon of primer (I bought it by mistake) and I think about using it just to give it another layer.

Adding primer to a project would not hurt. Using it before painting white is ideal and if you happen to paint any glass jars or vases adding the primer first works excellent. Thanks for watching.

Can you explain “Cottage Core” ?

Cottage Core is a twist on Farmhouse. Adding floral paintings, vintagey type like what you would remember in grandma's house. Mushrooms, garden type items that are rusted metal or chippy paint. And lots of these items mixed together. Some call it clutter core but I don't like clutter so you can downscale it to. Hope that helps.
