Hi eveyone! Hope this video helps. I just wanted to update to information about the times the K1 Visa is taking to process. The waiting time to get petition approved is around 6-10 months now instead of 4 months. Total time from start to finish 8-11 months. Also, I forgot to mention a fee that you will have to pay when applying for the visa. It is the fee they charge for the actual visa and it is around 260 USD. Total Fiance Visa process cost is around 2100 USD.
My fiancé will be visiting me for the first time in the 3 years we have know each other, he will be coming here to the USA, we are going to be married when he is here...When can I apply for the K1 visa (during this time). Also, will he have to go back to his country while on a tourist visa after I file it? we are both gay.
It will take longer than 4 months. I am currently past the five month mark and still waiting. As of March 2018, USCIS is working on petitions submitted in Aug/Sept 2017. Anyone going through the process, you must remain positive and strong. Waiting for the petition to be approved is painstakingly long. You won't get any updates until the approval/denial. Your channel is great and informative. Thank you.
Hi Daniel! Thanks for sharing. Yes, you are right. It is taking longer now. I will update the information on the videos soon so people dont worry. Like you said, just be patient and positive! Hope you get your approval soon. Best wishes.
Your costs are so much cheaper than mine from the UK. I'm looking at around $1100 medical, $1300 flights, and $200 per trip to london in Train tickets. My medical is in about a month though, so at least that's progress. And this is before the expensive Adjustment of Status
It takes longer than 3-4 months. My fiance is from morocco. We are in our 4th month. Uscis said it could be another 3 months. This is of March 2018. Total time is about 9 months currently
Hi Kayla! Thanks for sharing. It took us 4 months for ours to get approved but we heard from some couples it took them 3 months. But you are right, petitions are slowing down right now because of the high demand. You also have to check in what processing center your petition is being processed. Some of them are faster than other. Good luck with your case and hope it gets approved soon!
HiKayla! Question did u guys still waiting for the k1 visa approval or did u fiance already got his visa. My fiance is from Morocco too, VC sent his application to Morocco in july I can't be able to print the mrv to pay the visa is so complicated. How did u guys did it
How do I prove that we’ve met each other within the last two years? Am I suppose to send a picture through email? Or am I suppose to print and file it all together?
Thanks for the video! Can you recommend documents to get ready as you wait for the NOA2. I want to have things ready and in place for when we receive that letter, and not sure what those items are or where to look. Thank you!
Glad you liked it Beth. You should start getting the Affidavit of support I-134 with the supporting documents (pay stubs, bank account statements, employer letter, and all the evidence you can get). Here is another of my videos talking about the form ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gzhHUsmT-cU.html You are also going to need a police clearance certificate from your home country. (for foreign fiance) If you have the vaccinations the US government requires for US Citizens then you won't need to get them during your medical examination. Just remember to bring evidence to the hospital or clinic where you will have your medical exam done.
I just got the I-797 Approval notice.Took about 8 months to receive the approval but we got a RFE.I just wonder how long NVC is taking to process the paperwork. We did it without a lawyer.
Can we still process the K1 visa even though we're still 10 mos.? We want to be together as much as possible. But, we have met once already. And planning to see each other again for the second time soon. Just making sure I'm on the same page. Thank you very much! looking forward for your response. :) By the way, your video is very helpful, informative and straight to the point. Thanks!!!! if you have any updates please kindly share with us. It'll be great!
Thanks Regine! Dont forget to like and subscribe :D. If I understand your question correctly, you have been dating 10 months. That is ok. The requirement the USCIS asks for is to have met at least one time in person in the past two years. The process is taking around 8-10 months to get the visa approved to just keep that in mind.
@@miguelreggie6001 I don't see anything wrong with that. As long as they genuinely love each other. My BF wants me to stay with him as soon as possible too. He said he can't wait for long process but what we can do. It's the law.
wouldn´t it be smart to have the fiancé gather the documents and medical exams a month after the citizen turns in the petition? To cut down the time, the medical exam is most likely at the least still valid for ninety days, and I honestly would not want to force them to get vaccinated. My field of study may be Neuropsychology yet I have good understanding of the physiology of the human body, plus we all know the government doesn´t hand out free money in court cases and there wouldn´t be an allotment set aside for vaccine law suite payouts which can be found on a government site ... tschau tschau tschüssi!
Need help! I have a fiancee we met online we've been together but far apart for almost 2 years but the thing is he can't come to my country bcoz his a felon... What advice can u give me on what to do...
hi thank u for help i just wanna know if the difference age is a problem me and my fiance have a difference age i have 23years then she has 36years , she left her works there is 1 month so she is going to use her uncle as cosigner who lives in another state anyway we meet each others 2 times last 4 months we have pictures every evidence document.... can answer to my question about cosigner and age thank u
I'm hook with your story. My fiancee is in Mexico. What advice do you have for documents that are required by him. Does he needs to notarized or translated any information? For example the letter of intent to marry. Please advice or add the link of the video that you might have talk about it. Thanks
Not notarized but they need to be translated by someone certified. Needs to have some sort of stamp. Every document has to be in English. Letter to marry in English from both of you and SIGNED. We have not yet talked about translations but we will upload more videos soon. Good luck Sandra!
Is the visa center or USCIS going to inform after few months of waiting the petitioner if his/her fiancee visa petition has approved..or denied?. Thanks
Do you feel I should hire a lawyer for this process? I am going back and forth and me and my fiancé have limited funds. The process is already expensive. Adding lawyer fees would be overwhelming.
Doing it yourself is money saving for sure. Try looking at "rapid visa". I'm using them and they are pretty good...they answer any and all my questions and help with each step. Bad thing about doing this yourself....if you mess something up...you won't know about it until homeland security tells you about it and then the process will start all over. Rapid Visa reviews the petition and let's you know of mistakes before its submitted. I had 4 mistakes...simple corrections but things I missed. Yes you have RU-vid but if you have questions (and you will) ...how long will you wait for a response? Look into RAPID VISA... For me, took me about 1 month to fill everything out then about 2 weeks to be notified that my petition is under review....now I wait - 2 months have passed- for the interview
All of this to help someone become a U.S. citizen? Ha! I know whoever is reading this who went through this process or almost going through this is probably thinking, “but we’re in love” im different, he or she is different. He or she loves me”. The devil is a lie. This longwineded is in process because so many people will lay their life on the line to enter the U.S. I’m no ones charity case! No thanks.
