A quick Googling revealed that the upper bound for English words is 1 million, but it's more realistically around 200,000; whereas the number of lottery combinations is 300 million. These numbers depend on how you count words and which lottery you play.
@@ItsRamzi The number of English words may be 200 000 to 1 million, but there are a bunch of letters you can make into nonsense as well, for example "xcvoijew" "dqe" "eaaswo", etc. There are so many possible combinations, especially if you include the nonsense ones.
@@jazzabighits4473 In that case there are more English "words" than "decimal words" by digit, since English has 26 characters, but we use a base 10 number system.
