Someone did not handle the firearm according to safety procedures. SOMEONE F**KED UP!!! That is not an accident! That is carelessness and so, negligence!!!!! Regardless of the situation, someone should be charged!!!!! That should happen even if a mother leaves a gun in her purse and her three year old blows his own head off. Until we start defining a firearm as a DANGEROUS WEAPON, somehow, "Opps, my bad!!" just doesn't cover it!!!! I love katie porter but saying its the gun manufacturers liability because someone "Modified" a stock gun is ridiculous. If i ground down the seer on a gun to make it full auto "which i 100% would never do" its somehow not my fault for doing an illegal act and should be targeted towards the manufacturer? Its completely bogus. Gun manufacturers do have liability already so this is a lie. If they produce a product that malfunctions then they have to recall the firearm and/or fix it. Again i agree something needs to be done but this isnt it. Banning Ar-15's wont stop mass murders either because facts speak for themselves, it didnt prevent them last time.
