Installed an LED headlight created by Matt Gecko LED's for the Vulcan last fall and finally got a chance to test it at night. Love it! Especially the high beam.
Watch 1:45 specifically as that shows the difference between low beam and high beam quite well.
Thanks for watching! Let me know in the comments what you think about my bike and what you'd like to see in the future!

Great video. Did you have a LED bulb in your stock housing before you installed the Matt Gecko? I'm currently running a Cyclops H4 LED and although better than the halogen, still find the light output insufficient and scatter is always getting me flashed from other drivers.

No, I didn't. I learned on my ZX6R that LED bulbs or HID bulbs (to a lesser extent) in housings not designed for them is just a bad idea. I went from crappy OEM to this and it's amazing. Thanks for watching!

can you do a video of installing it as well please

Hi Bill. That will be hard to do since it's already on the bike and my bike is in storage until probably mid April. However, I did find this video which shows the process: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rcP2mAkXtxM.html Good luck! You won't regret it! It's an amazing light compared to the OEM one.

I just picked up a Vulcan S and found these lights. How even is the light pattern? It looks sort of patchy in the video, but I know sometimes video and pictures don’t fully show how well a light works.

It is waaayyy more uniform than the stock lamp which was just one big hot spot. This thing also covers about 3-4 lanes worth of width which is good seeing wildlife in the woods on the shoulders. I highly recommend it.

FstLaneUkraine that’s what I was looking for. It’s on my list of mods now

FstLaneUkraine how was it to adjust the beam after install?
@FstLaneUkraine
@FstLaneUkraine 4 года назад
@@countryboy9546 I didn't have to adjust the beam. Driving next to cars the cutoff is below their driver side mirror so to me it seems to be adjusted correctly out of the box.

@FstLaneUkraine

My bike is a 2015. This is the MattGeckoLED light that is basically a retrofitted OEM light. It's plug and play. Thanks for watching!

@@FstLaneUkraine I was asking as I was just installing my MattGeckoLED light to my 2018 Vulcan S. I had to splice my DRL on vs the 2015 which I was told is plug and play... no big deal it works amazingly!

Oh interesting! I thought the new Vulcans were exactly the same but I guess some minor differences have been made over the years.

2:14 what an incredible view. Where are you?

Thank you! That is the downtown area of Albany, New York. The large buildings and egg shaped venue are part of Empire State Plaza which has three nice reflection pools, etc. We love going there at night and relaxing by the water! Thanks for watching!

Stock ones are just ordinary.. I have LED Aux lights since LED aftermarket headlamps for Vulcan aren’t available in India..
@FstLaneUkraine
@FstLaneUkraine 4 года назад
Yep, the stock lamp wasn't great at all. Is a retrofit considered aftermarket in India cause that's what this is.

FstLaneUkraine : While India is the largest producer and consumer of motorcycles in the world, a majority of those motorcycles are 100-150 CC Commuter bikes.. 500+ CC bikes are considered premium bikes and they are owned by only Hardcore biking community. Since sales are very low, there aren’t many aftermarket accessories available here - like the LED Headlight for Vulcan. However, There’re some OEM accessories sold by Kawasaki and a few others by Amazon, but they’re quite expensive. For eg., Arrow exhaust costs $1000 ! While I got the Guards, backrest etc.. made locally, I got many other accessories ( Windshield, side plates etc..) from US since they were either unavailable or too expensive here.

Gotcha. I imagine shipping is expensive. Your bike problem sounds like my car problem lol.
