The suspension is very plush and comfortable actually, soaks bumps very nicely. You probably had too much preload for your weight.

Suspension is subjective to each rider. How do you know both of our bikes are set up exactly the same ?

I picked up a 2022 Z900RS earlier this year, the suspension setup from the factory is very soft and plush but soaks up bumps on crappy roads very well. I am 80kg/5' 10" and found it perfect for me. From factory they do come set at the rear with the preload almost at the softest setting so most people will stiffen up the rear a few clicks. Probably been done to this bike but with your lighter weight might make it seem too harsh? I have no issue with engine braking on mine either, it's as smooth as. In fact, not heard of any issues on the Z900RS forums or other reviews of severe engine braking, only of a twitchy throttle on earlier models. I am coming off a Superduke R, which I had for 3 years, so maybe I am more forgiving! Anyway, keep up the good work, loving the reviews 🙂

Cheers Rob - really appreciate the comments. Quite the change from a Superduke R - what made you switch it up?

@@DSR1YT Just loved the looks of the Kwak and wanted to try something different. Last time I had a conventional looking bike was in 1996, when I had a Suzuki Bandit 😉

The suspension isn't set for your weight, and because you're only 5'5" the bars are too short and the bike is too high. Duh.

Hi guys the harsh engine braking is down to the traction control being on 2 . 🥹👍🏿
@adamjwmoss
@adamjwmoss 2 года назад
The traction control has no effect on engine braking, it’s only a one mode system on the z900rs and only changes how great a difference in wheel speed the bike will allow before cutting in the traction control
@desmiller4764
@desmiller4764 2 года назад
@@adamjwmoss so have you ridden the the z900rs ? Do you understand what they were talking about. If the KTRC is on 2 the bike will slow down to nearly a stop which was their complete about how it rode
@adamjwmoss
@adamjwmoss 2 года назад
@@desmiller4764 yes…I work for a Kawasaki dealership. There are a couple of Kawasaki models that have variable engine braking controls but the Z900RS is not one of them. It does have quite strong engine braking but no matter what you do with the KTRC settings this can’t be adjusted unless you were to remap the bike. If you can find me one piece of evidence to support your claim I’ll gladly admit I’m wrong.
@desmiller4764
@desmiller4764 2 года назад
@@adamjwmoss hi maybe we are at crossed wires here. I’m only saying that when you have the KTRC on 2 your engine braking can slow you down quite sharply which I believe the vloggers were concerned about. If they had changed the mode they would have found more normal to other bikes. As an owner of a RS I know what they were concerned about. Have you ridden the RS ?
@adamjwmoss
@adamjwmoss 2 года назад
@@desmiller4764 I have, I’ve done hundreds of miles on them. I can assure you KTRC mode has zero effect on the bikes engine braking.
