These are some of the greatest plays of Kevin Durant's career but they get increasingly more great as the video goes on. Clips are licensed through a partnership with NBA Playmkers. Business Inquiries: mcosh3@gmail.com
Its amazing watching durant now vs then. He has all the moves in his bag, but now he is so much more calculated with his moves. Back then KD could beat someone with 4-5 moves, whereas now he does the same first two moves but he knows the spacing so he shoots rather than adding a couple extra and wasting energy. He is the embodiment of efficiency.
That's how older players mature. If you watch MJ's 2nd 3-peat, he was surgical like that. Same with Kobe's 2nd run. That's how they had enough in the tank in the 4th quarter.
nope, injury forced him to be like that, he is now at the late years of his career which he needs to prolong as much as possible. Dribble moves, aggressive drive, contact dunks, these kind of plays lead to higher chance of injury plus its the same 2 points. He can just get into position and shoot. The fact that he can still be efficient makes him really special.
KD's strength is actually underrated, he might look skinny but it takes serious upper body strength to pull off some of the finishes he pulled off in this vid.
Love Mj, kobe, and even Tmac, but KD may be the greatest scorer I’ve ever seen. 7 foot Pg with crazy range and handle. Generational talent and specimen.
Don’t remind me, that was the greatest year of my life. Going to see him in person...it was so shocking. Then the Sonics (and him) went bye bye. I got to see Jordan, Kemp...all of the greats of that era. But seeing KD just seemed so freakish back then. One of a kind
Teams have been playing him ultra aggressive recently.Crowding his space & bodying him off the dribble. If refs don't call it, he can be neutralized.Neutralize for KD means turned into a less efficient/volume scorer. The Celtics gave teams the blueprint. If you look at the Suns/Nuggets series, the did the same thing.KD put up 30 points a game, but he wasn't his normal efficient self.He was having to put up 28-30 field goal attempts to get 30.KD's at his best when he's putting up 17-19 shots to get 30.Not to mention he's lost a lil speed & athleticism.Makes it easier to crowd his dribble.
I remember back in the days when thunder always face against memphis and spurs in the finals, they're always thrillers. Imagine OKC keeping harden for the big 3 with Ibaka and Adams as their defensive core, massive what if as a thunder fan.
Got to watch him in person last season when they played the Knicks and he dropped 56 I think. Man his game was just so smooth and it looked so easy for him
Aye I didn't realize how good KD was with the crossover omg the way he yank back and forth. Then he already can score from any spot on the floor. He a deadly man.
The only player during LeBron's prime that genuinely matched up with him and could be called the better player in a given series (even if LeBron still has had the better career all in all)
But lebron didn't have the better career. Pit kd and 2 other all-stars in that weak east and I bet you he would have more rings. Kd also have more unforgettable moments. The only unforgettable moment I can think of that lebron had in the finals is that block
Truly gifted..kd is the best scorier I even seen & I'm a kobe fan..he shouldn't be able to handle the ball like that with that shooting touch..its crazy how gifted he is at ball
Think about it, most people who’ve gotten into the nba in the last couple of years won’t ever know what it was to watch okc durant, especially that MVP season. It’s been almost ten years since he’s won it
i remember hating KD so much in that second finals rematch. when he hit that shot in Game 3 to go up six, i literally gave up. i wanted bron to win so bad but that shot right there basically won the warriors the finals.
Its crazy seeing KD from his Sonics days. I remember when he first got into the league and everyone was just like What kind of player is this??? A 6'9 shooting guard????
Watching this made me realize, since most of these best highlights are from OKC, it's a reminder that he actually is past his prime and I don't see Phoenix as a threat in the West (also because he is injured). Brooklyn really won that trade big time.
I understand what you mean, but I think it's a little misleading to come to that decision based on this Video. This is more of a crowd-going highlights and his game is evolved now. He doesn't do lots of Crossover and all now, very simple game but efficient. His ppg has dropped by 1 or 2 after injury, that's it. So it will be interesting to see what happens 👍
@@calebmerz7763 they neck & neck can't say nobody is wrong it's all opinion & we all entitled to 1. Imo I think Kd is Better mid range for sure percentage wise well especially with a open look based off him averaging 90 from the free throw line his whole career & Jordans was only from 80-86% throughout his career but contested Jordan was the best mid range shooter especially being able to fadaway so well to create a lot of shot space for his 6'6 height for the big men who went for the block on him
