That's why you don't listen to haters. Perkins was a below average player at best. He can say what he wants but he's not in any conversation except bad takes.
Overrating Lakers when they didn't even make the playoffs, then still talks bad about Curry when they're 1 win away from finals. Perkins should lose his job with Nick Wright, they're bad at it.
Kendrick Perkins and the rest of these analysts are beyond jackasses! Hating on Steph Curry for no reason at all! The Lakers ain't s*** and ain't going to be s*** next year!
The more they hate on Curry the more he succeeds, i'm so happy for Steph and want him to win at least 2 more chips, and i also like the fact that he proved those analysts to be idiots.
At this point you should hope that Perk picks against your favorite team or favorite player lmaooooo. As a Nets fan, I really hope he says Nets have 0 chance at making even the conference finals or round 2 lol
Perkins is jealous Perkins never did nothing for game of basketball but warm the bench that's it he's the 2 point and the 2 rebound guy that's it real talk
@@anicefelton4174 Kendrick Perkins may be jealous, but greatness is greatness. Steph Curry continues put his special blueprint on the game of basketball 🏀.
And you are 100% correct with that statement. Those envious bad mind haters out there has one thing on their agenda is failure for the guy. You know what hurts me to see he is not a stock up, selfish arrogant individual, and yet still its always some negative comments
If Kyrie goes to Lakers, Perk is gonna say "Warriors are winning 0 championships for next few years, in fact no team in the west has a chance anymore as LeBron and Lakers gonna easily win the West every year for next 4 years"....
@@gotflo19 yeah word and clowns actually say "If Perk wasn't injured and out in 2010 Finals, then Celtics would've won" lmfaoooo by that logic if Bynum wasn't injured in 2008 same thing or Bogut wasn't injured in 2016....
Also, the fact that Steph didnt react or comment when these so called “experts” made those “expert” opinions, he did the best thing, won a championship, proved them wrong and now throw their “expert” opinions back at them. Mike drop! Night night!
If these sports shows wanted a big man's point of view wth championships on his resume, the face of his team and ppl respect his unbiased take on the NBA they would've been better off going wth David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon...hell, I'd even take Alonzo Mourning. But we get a grumpy Kendrick Perkins everywhere you look...smh. Congratulations to the GSW and to Big Perk "Carry the Hell On!"🤣
Tweaking hard. It's way more than 10 players that deserve to be in the top 10...Curry not one of them. And I love Steph, straight dog, best shooter ever and it's not even close, changed the way the game is played. But not top 10.
Everyone knows Curry has been one of those NBA players that can't be duplicated. So unique and composed. He's on the all time warriors on 2k for life lol.
I love how Steph Curry keeps on shutting down all of these knucklehead sport analysts who think they are sport experts! Keep on proving them wrong Steph! Your awesome elite athleticism speaks for itself! Keep on keepin' on my brother!!! Stay great and always stay humble!!
I'm an old school baller... Steph has changed basketball. He's a generational talent. To play so unselfishly and still have his stats in today's premadona NBA is nothing short of impressive.
Curry got my respect back in 2013 against the Lakers, he dropped 47 on 56FG% in the same game that Kobe tore his Achilles (I was a Laker fan back then)... he almost hit a full court shot for the win... little did I know.... HE ALMOST MADE IT... YT those highlights... Same Curry... just ringless and trying to figure it out
He has changed the game... for the worse. Now all kids want to do these days is jack up long shots way out of their range, instead of playing actual basketball. No NBA game should ever have a total of 80 3's chucked up. Ridiculous.
@@dblock9300 u r right, I went to my nephews 7th grade game recently and I never seen so many 3’s getting chucked up. Unfortunately, most were bricks or airballs. But I do think steph is exciting to watch though cause he makes them.
Steph doesn't have to leave and go play with other mega teams to win a title. Granted, Durant joined the warriors for a few seasons, and won 2. Still Durant left the Thunder to be at Golden State with Steph. I'm pretty sure that Durant wouldn't have gone to Golden State if Steph wasn't there.
Well that's exactly why I said his opinion when it comes to most things and especially Steph is worthless. He's super biased. That's ok. Curry can keep on upping his legend and Perk can continue to hate. At least he gets paid to hate, so there's that.
Perkins mentioning Stephen Curry's name is atrocious on its own. He didn't have the right to mock the GSW and Curry. I know that is just opinion, but if you are on TV mocking the Greatest shooter of all time and the Best Franchise, you are hallucinating. It's like a fly is talking about a dragon. It's revolting and hilarious, it deserves some swatting.
Some of these so called analysts need to be fired. They are not analyzing the game but more about who they like and do not like…perk do a lot of talking but cannot breakdown the game intellectually.
Now that Steph has 4 ya gotta give the man his props. He has cemented his legacy as a NBA legend. Curry is not only one of the all time greats, but quite possibly the greatest pure shooter to ever lace 'em up!! ...and no, I'm not a Warrior fan, I'm a Laker fan!!
I seriously don’t get how people who actually watch can think curry doesn’t make his teammates better. Like if you watch and see the flow of the game, it’s so damn obvious how much impact he has on the floor. He gives guys so many open looks because the whole nba is so scared of him
Pre-CISELY! ONLY the ignorant and uninformed (who clearly never watch the games) arrive at their thoroughly embarrassing conclusion. Total fools. Pathetic that they have the jobs they do.
Sports pundits are there to entertain not inform. That’s why ESPN has become Stephen A Smith network. He doesn’t have any experience with any sport. Just loud opinions.
i love how curry just keep winning shutting all the haters up making them look like fools and the people hating on him are bench and role players and out of touch people
I love Perk, he's from my mother's hometown of Beaumont, but I was born and raised in Oakland, so I definitely like to see Perk eat that crow pie. Keeping it clean, early in Stephs career, when the Warriors went with Steph over Monta Ellis, everyone in Oakland was mad. Steph stayed hurt and the game was different. It was a Kobe/LeBron league. But right now, for any Warriors fan, you gotta speak on Steph in the same conversation with Mike, Kobe and LeBron. He changed the game.
Grew up a Lakers fan but i rate Curry top 5 all time.Cant believe the hate towards a guy who literally changed the way the game is played.People can laugh all they want but my Lakers bias would have Kobe as my first pick but i would take Steph before most others including Lebron
Of course a fan of the most popular team in the nba would overrate curry that way. He's probably in the top 10 all time now, but let's not go overboard here
@@MrE_ nah. Curry Top 5. no one can replicate him, even when other people try to mimic his long range shots, his influence on the game really had a HUGE impact on the league and he proved people with or without superstars he can still win, his defense is also slept on, he has broken multiple single and team records that's probably inhuman. Def. top 5 for sure.
Unlike any other. Won 3, took 2 years off and came back to win. Bulls did that except it was 2 three peats. Side note: Curry is an all time great. The slander was used as it should have been. Fuel congrats to the warriors
Bulls added a hall of famer in Rodman and leagues best 6th man in Kukoc for the second 3 peat. Bulls with MJ never beat Celtics or Lakers in their prime and it took Isiah Tomas injury to finally get past Pistons. There just weren't any stacked teams during bulls 90s titles. Who was their fiercest competition out east? Knicks? With Ewing and John Starks who wasn't even drafted? Cavs with Mark Price and Daughterty? Even in finals Jazz with Karl Malone and Stockton? The two year gap between 3 peats Houston won with just Hakeem and Drexler. Bulls had 3 hall of famers, leagues best 6th man and during their runs had Paxon and Kerr who led NBA in 3pt %. Even after MJ retired bulls were 1 game short from being #1 seed and got screwed in game 6 by refs which kept them from making it to finals. These days there are way more stacked teams. Lebron always plays with at least two other stars. Teams like Suns with Booker, CP3, Ayton. Nets with multiple league MVPs, etc. I lived in Chicago during 90s and watched all the bulls runs. Curry doesn't deserve nearly enough credit. For all MJs legacy bulls were an elite team that had a chance to win it all without him. Take away Curry and warriors likely don't even make playoffs. He is so good that the attention he gets opens everything up for everyone else. As individual players you can say guys like KD, MJ, Lebron are better. But they all like to play ISO and need great supporting cast to win it all. Curry is just different way he impacts the whole team. Would anyone be talking about Green as a great player without Curry? Even Klay as good as he is he wouldn't have same respect. Then take guys like Wiggins who was a bust and ripped by everyone. Same thing. List goes down to G league players Warriors bring up.
@@KaliAndy2 The Dennis Rodman they added had only one All-star showing when he came to the Bulls. The Lakers team they beat had the 2nd best record in the NBA and Magic finished 2nd for MVP. Brad Daughtery and Ewing would be the best centers in the NBA now and top 10 players now. Larry Bird is older than Jordan their primes don't intersect, Curry never beat him either, never beat Magic, he never beat Shaq and Penny either, hell he never beat a team with a top center at all. Enjoy the players you have no need to trash everyone before to inflate them.
Lakers are looking grim for a team that had championship aspirations. Really reminds me of the 2013 lakers injured AD= injured dwight, washed Westbrook= washed Nash, old Kobe = old lebron. Except AD is extra injury-prone, Westbrook is extra washed, amd lebron is extra old lol
At this point in time, Perkins is a perfect litmus test for exactly what *won't* happen. I'm sure all the betting agencies are looking to Perk to help establish their odds.
"it's absolutely shocking and surprising to many" How is this logical? Didn't they see the regular season and Warriors' system which obviously changed the game for years?
@@justsaynototv8366 I'm not really a fan of any teams since I don't live in the US but I think we have to appreciate what the Warriors and Curry did to the game, it's not often we see game changers in our lifetime. Other teams should be humble and learn
Wait - when the hell did Kellerman said that Curry was finished? I've seen vids of him from last year saying that the Dub Dynasty wasn't over! Didn't sound at all like he thought Curry was done for...
I think Perkins and other NBA stars can't just accept the fact that someone plays basketball and shoots the ball in a very unique manner and beyond their normal expectations. Thus, the bitterness about the betterness of Stephen. Are they shocked or simply jealous?
Over the years, most super stars smashed their way through, including their teammates. At GSW, we see leaders who work with their team from bottom up. At the crossroad, many choose the easy path though they always know what the right path is. This man chooses the right path and this is called principle and integrity. (redaction of Al Pacino’s speech in the scent of a woman)
steph got a lot of achievements this season..and klay just cameback half of this season,so i believe he will explode next season..the trio still have 3-4 years with the help of young guys like poole, kuminga and wiseman.
I have never liked basketball. But their have been players in the league that pull me in. Curry and the GSW team had me watching this season. This young man is an outstanding player. I look forward to watching the GSW team next season.
lol, Steph is HOF already after 2016 even without the 2nd/3rd Champ. A lot of players like AI gets in HOF without 1 single Champ. MJ probably sweat his pants off when the 73-win warriors almost beat the Cav in the finals
@@aholmessa mj is the GOAT for sure. But you don't need to be GOAT to get into HOF. I'm not even comparing Steph with MJ, I'm just saying steph is at least as good as / better than AI or Charles Barkley. Saying that Steph needs to do more after 2016 to qualify for HOF is ridiculous, even from MJ
I believe the actual quote was "he isn't a Hall of Famer yet", which is factually true. Steph isn't in the Hall yet and he won't be there till after he walks away from the game. I doubt MJ actually has or had a bone to pick with Steph and was just ribbing him in his typical MJ way.
@@futbolista24 yeah Mike did say "he isn't a HOF'er yet"....but if you watched how he said it he was definitely implying Steph was not yet ready or should not be included in the HOF discussion....I am arguably the biggest MJ fan on the planet....but when I heard him say that....I was like....ahhh...wait a minute Mike....what do you mean?! Steph belonged in the HOF as of 2016....the greatest shooter ever in the NBA!!....Steph will be a first time inductee no doubt!! .....Not hatin on Mike but...ahh ....he might've been showing some envy saying that....but Mike is the true GOAT!!
I quit listening to opinion sports programming last year and just enjoy the games, regardless of the sport, letting the performance of the athletes speak for themselves. Best decision I ever made.
Your right Xin Gaming! As a teenager in Chicago I went to games at the old stadium and player's and the media was saying after 3 championships they wouldn't be back!
Been a Warriors Fan since they took C-Webb, so it was good to see them ascend to where they are now. Been a Fan of Steph since I saw him dominate in the 07 and 08 Tournaments, so it's definitely good to see Him/Them have the success and Legacy that He/They have built.
The fans and the city deserve this classy organization a just reward for all the loyal long suffering Warriors fans that stuck with them all through the 90s. This dynasty is for you.
Going into the playoffs,i had only view two teams as threats in the west. Grizz and suns. There were a lot more threats on the east side but Warriors only had to play one of them
Wow, it's been a Blessed season for Curry...he accomplished and earned the new #1 spot as 3-point shooter, western conference finals MVP, championship finals MVP, 4th championship finals ring AND he finished college and earned his college degree!
For those who believes in lebron James must know at this point in time curry and the warriors is the champion and will continue winning but James will never experience winning again
4 rings, 4 mvps and 4 fmvps is still a strong resume. But there's just something with LeBron that is still not clicking with me, I still strongly prefer Kobe over him. On paper LeBron is better, but if you watched NBA games since 2000 people know that Kobe is just the guy you would always idolize as a player.
@@fatezero8662 would lebron have all those accolades if he stayed put with the cavs only? Hell no that boy chased the rings unlike Kobe who stayed with one team his whole career. That’s just my opinion tho
I agree. Barring injury, this core team, along with the new guys Wiggins, Poole, GP II and Porter have the potential for two more titles. And if Kuminga, Moody and Wiseman live up to their potential, could be even more as Steph, Dray and Klay age out. I'd like to see Andre take one of those assistant coaching positions this year, too. Go Dubs!
Basketball gods, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if they were good men or bad. Why we fought, and why we lost. All that matters is that today, few stood against many. Valor pleases you, so grant me this one request. Grant us revenge on all these haters again!
Perkins wasn't necessarily wrong but what I didn't realize is how much of a beast Wiggins was and how well he fit that team. He literally locked everyone he checked. But if theyre going to have success in the future they need better role bigs maybe Mcgee back. And Draymond needs to stop throwing up them bricks! Someone needs to tell him he has the red-light only right turn to the basket strong lol
When the whole gameplan of the opposing team was to limit Curry's outburst for each of his finals anyone in the league knows Steph is the most important player on the Warriors. These anaylists which some are former NBA players don't have clue what they're talking about because they were from an era where they don't get slaughtered with threes.
As a Warriors fan, I can tell you I have never seen a player take so much double coverage. And I mean it starts right from the time he cross half court with the ball. This effectively gives the Warriors a four on three advantage every single play. Doesn't just that fact say a lot about a player's greatness. Kendrick Perkins hasn't been watching.
I mean how can you even hate on the man Curry? On top of all of his accomplishments and accolades he just such a humble dude. Squeaky clean on and off the court.
Not sure how those guys rationalize their arguments. The nba rules and style of play perfectly suits Steph play style. You don’t have to be huge, a physical freak or a great defender anymore… you just need to be able to shoot a good percentage from 3 off the dribble which he is superb at. Personally Steph isn’t in my top 10 yet but he’s knocking on the door at the 11-12 spot. I think he’ll get 1 more ring solidifying him in the Duncan, Kobe, Shaq, Bird, Magic area in my top 10.
I don't really watch basketball but I like Kerr Draymond Wiggins Thompson and curry. A team that actually plays as a team it's amazing to be here while it's going on so I'll understand why people in the future will say steph is the best pg and shooter ever
Top 10 if he wins 1 or 2 more for sure..remember he took this team in game 4 and took the series over even if it meant he had a down game 5 being fatigue.
Why is everybody forgetting that we getting wiseman back wise could easily be a 16-18 points 10-13 rebounds 3-5 assists 2-4 blocks a game next season don’t sleep on him
