KETTLEBELL WORKOUT - Kick-ass Kettlebell Series | Day 5

Day 5 in Kick-ass Kettlebell Series and it’s a solid strength workout using trisets to target the largest muscle groups in the body. Perfect for dumbbells also! Mainly compound movements with abs specific too!
For this full body workout you will need a kettlebell, a dumbbell but if you have access to various weights, definitely keep them handy! This workout is strength focused movements so you can absolutely use dumbbells! Try to match each rep count and control the weight throughout! Aim for full range of motion and as always, slow the eccentric down!
You will also need a mat for the abs and pullover portion!
At the end is a finisher of 4 minutes swing so kettlebell or dumbbell can be used!
Some exercises you may wish to go heavier such as squats or lunges!
The kettlebells I am using are 20kg and 10kg each.
The timer will be on for 1 minute per triset and we perform each triset 2 times! Within each triset, the beeper will go every 20 seconds to transition into a complimentary exercise such as half reps or with the shoulder press, push press!

Finisher:
4 minutes swings: any variation of swing you prefer for 4 minutes!!
During the pullover, position the kettlebell that you can gain as large a range of movement as possible so base of kettlebell high in grip.
A solid, strength session finishing with a cardio burst!
Perfect way to finish off the 5 day kettlebell series; the 4 minute swing!

Holy SMOKES! I have done three days a week for a few weeks with CG with a very light 'bell for my height/weight, cut down on pasta and stuff, and have lost over 12% of my body weight, feel stronger, lighter, younger and basically just better. That's super cool, but... Since I was a child I struggled to touch my toes, and I was an elite athlete in two sports when I was younger. I was post-workout stretching and all of the sudden I was touching my toes and it wasn't a strain. The numbers are great but these results are TRANSFORMATIVE. And I am not even a month in! I just ordered my next size up 'bell. I am hooked on this because of Caroline's workouts. I love all the indicators and beeps and the previews and all that - SUPER value add - keeps my head in the workout. Oh, and the music actually makes me dance during rests (my moves are actually getting better too!). I WILL be looking to continue with Caroline for a very long time. There is simply no better feeling than your better half stopping in her tracks, looking you up and down, and saying DAYUM!

Caroline you are an inspiration! I found your workouts last year when I bought a kettlebell and didn't know what to do with it. @@matthewalmond4688 Good morning!!! I have made my Fridays to always be an hour since epic as I do love a good full hour! This week I have added some of Caroline's other uploads to make them 45 mins to an hour. I have enjoyed the 30 min sessions loads this week however always do a little extra, I like to get at least 8 hours exercise a week so do some walking too! I get my 15,000 steps each day too! Think I'm totally addicted 😁 Have a fab weekend! 😊

Yesterday's kettlebell cardio was really fiery🔥🔥🔥 The triset one today is definitely going to be challenging with those 4 mins of swings!!! Looking forward to do this workout in the evening.. I 'd to make a Break at the finisher Swings, too. I' m working with dumbells and the swings are really tricky at the end because my hands get sweat. But WE finished the workout in our pace. Everything allright

Day 5 was awesome!! Loved the layout of everything. Really challenged myself and went the heaviest I ever have before with rows, uneven lunges and uneven squats. Definitely finished the series strong. The finisher!! 👏🏻 4 minutes is a long time to contemplate life😂!! Took forever to get there..and I was able to swing the whole time. Timer went off and I was thinking..I could of went longer!!😆 Awesome series Caroline!! And great job on your interview yesterday!! So proud to be a part of your workout community! Did this workout while I listened to your radio interview. Caroline on the screen; Caroline in my ears. That 4-minute finisher??! Really??! I paused at 2 minutes. 😆 Now I can’t get rid of the image of you running and jumping over bushes! 😂 Thank you, Caroline!!! Hi Samantha. I couldn't agree more. I didn't discover Caroline until this last lockdown (January 21). I really, really wish I'd been a RU-vid convert last year. So happy I am now, I'm totally inbebted to Caroline and her dedication to her RU-vid community. She's such an inspiration and her workouts are amazing. Wow day 5 kettlebell! I’m so proud. I did kettlebell swing for 4 minutes today 25lbs without stopping. I could not complete all 3 minutes yesterday without a break. 62 years old and can still get it done, feeling proud. The 30 minute workout is perfect. It’s intense but doable. I wasn’t sure how I would like the kettlebell workout but really enjoyed mixing it up. Thank you Caroline.

I use to love squats...😂🤣 Thank you for taking a break during the swings! I mean I stopped long before you but it was encouraging to see you needed a break too! This is my second week of this rotation. I think I’ll have some great results by the end of June! I’m excited!!

I finally sourced my kettlebell and was able to do day 4! Man, 30 mins of CG’s kettlebell exercises was very very challenging and my weights is no way near her weights! But that’s the thing about Caroline’s workouts, very chaLlenging but not impossible; as we can make it our own, modify and follow along. Can’t wait to do day 5 and hope I’ll survive the 4-min swings Have a good one epic fam! Edit: Done!!!! I am sore and oddly happy :)

I've been doing Carolines 30min full body KB workout for about 6 months now, about 5 times a week. I was in a complete rut so this week has been an absolute gift. New moves, new music and a fantastic ache the following day. That 4 min swing is a killer, I started with a 20kg then dropped to 16kg, my poor inner forearms are throbbing. Can't wait to start it all again on Monday. Thank you so much Caroline.

This week has been a whole new level of challenge! I don't have heavy kettlebells so I used a variety of dumbbells this week. I didn't realize how much the core has been utilized this week until today! When I was doing the core targeted section, I had to drop my weights because I found that my core was already feeling fatigued! Thr end of this workout left me in a puddle of sweat. I honestly did not think I'd make it through 4 minutes of swings but I did! Woohoo! Happy Friday and brilliant work to everyone who pushed through this week. And again, THANK YOU, CAROLINE! You are so AMAZING and strong💪

I’m on the second week of this Series and was totally new to kettlebells before that. As an over 40 woman I wanted to do something to boost my strength. I’m using a 10kg at the moment as it’s all I have but hope to increase as I get stronger. My upper body is so weak I really struggle with press and push ups but can feel myself getting stronger. Can’t wait to repeat this and see myself get stronger! Thank you

Waw! This is a very well put session for a Friday attack! Needed to slow it down a bit after the insane swing session from yesterday! A really well put series with loads of fun and new ways to move! I hope that you continue to supplement our training with kettlebells! Honestly this piece of equimnent made the hugest difference when it came to swings. I recall struggling with the dumbells early in EPIC 2.. I look forward to 4 minutes of swining!

Hello Caroline. Thanks for another great mini-series that was so good. Used the 20kg KB for all the legs, rows and the swings and DBs for presses. These sessions really do take it out of you and get the heart rate up. The swings at the end Caroline you wiped the floor with me 😁 as I had to take a few breaks but that simply inspires and motivates me even more. Hi Anthony...nice to hear from you! Great comment...I so much agree regarding the thanks to Caroline for putting this week together so soon after finishing epic II. I think this was my favourite of this weeks workouts...I felt I had worked my whole body in true Friday style! I managed the 4 min swings OK with a few single arm ones...but I was only using 12 kg...I can’t imagine 20 kg!! Well done, Anthony! Lovely day here. Coffee with a friend this morning...two people from different households can now meet outdoors...and just been for a nice walk in the sunshine! I loved this kettlebell series 🌟 I was a bit worried of the 4 minutes of swings but it wasn’t too bad at all. Used 15kg for them and for first half and then 10kg for press and core. Was challenging but so good!👌🏼💪🏻 I loved the interview yesterday too, what can I say- I admire how natural and modest Caroline is, she’s uniting nearly a million of people with her amazing workouts, giving them all for free so people can benefit them and yet she’s so natural and down to earth, like - yeah, I’m a mum of two, I love my job and this is it! She’s funny and sweet, I laughed how she sometimes says to herself- what did you do Caroline? 😆 don’t we all ask her that on some days? 🥵 I’ll keep on spreading it and encouraging friends to follow her and do her workouts.
