I find it funny how fast a lot of people went from saying KD is undeniably top 10 to having to quietly switch him out for curry who actually earned that spot after last years finals.
@@thareelhelloagain I’d have to agree. I don’t see him ahead of guys like Hakeem or Shaq but that was unfortunately what I was seeing from KD fans. They have been quiet recently it seems though.
I'm still bitter about KD and Kyrie for the firing of Coach Kenny Atkinson. Coach Kenny made a great culture on the franchise during the years of rebuild but when two drama queens came along that culture disappeared.
I understand that KD has qualms with the organizations he's played with and I've even tried to rationalize some of it in his defense, but when does he realize that he's the leader of this particular Nets team? You're supposed to be the franchise player and face of the team, but you're running away from it because you don't want the blame when things go wrong which is part of being the best player and leader of a team. Throwing your teammates under the bus like that and saying that you seemed a trade last summer because you would be blamed if the team played bad is the energy of a #2 option and not a #1 option.
He's not the leader of the team. That's one of the big problems. They have no leader. KD has never been the leader type. Just because somebody is the best player doesn't always make them the leader.
Players like Dame have been playing with casts like what KD's been playing with lately for nearly his ENTIRE CAREER and hasn't complained once. KD looks extremely bad right now.
Nah, I wouldn't go that far. Portland's rosters have always looked better than what Brooklyn is bringing out right now, which speaks VOLUMES on how bad Brooklyn's front office is. Current Nets roster looks like something the Rockets would bring out....and they're tanking.
Wait, didn't KD demand the nets sign DeAndre Jordan, limiting minutes that should have gone to Jarrett Allen? Only for Allen and Caris Levert to be traded to get Harden, who KD wanted? Wasnt Spencer Dinwiddie part of a huge trade that saw players like Kyle Kuzma, KCP, Montrez Harrell, Russell Westbrook get moved and the only thing the nets got out of it was a 2nd round pick and a player I've never heard of so they can keep paying the players on the roster? Didn't they go get more shooters like Patty Mills and skilled bigs like Aldridge and Blake who wouldn't clog the paint and could pass and stretch the floor? Didn't he choose to pair up with the same player that had spent the prior 4 seasons convincing everybody that he was toxic to a locker room? If KD's legacy is hurt by what happens in Brooklyn it's his own fault
One mistake... Dinwiddie left in free agency. It was a sign&trade with Washington and they got a 2nd and a pick swap out of that trade. So he wasnt part of the Westbrook/Lakers trade. Other then that... spot on!
This is peak proof of karma. They way he did okc, not even that he left but how he left. Got a couple rings where he wasn't even necessary & ends up back in even a worse situation it seems.
@@Boxhead42 LMFAO okay buddy. says the same ones who will call KD names all just because "oH hE lEfT OkC, hOw dArE hE. i'M gOnNa cRy aBoUt iT." 💀 that corny smiley face at the end too... got me weak 😭
Thunder was up 3-1, clearly y’all had a chance to win but they blew it. So why not run it back. Even if you wanted to go to another team, you really gonna join the team you just had lost to, plus that team went 73-9? Like cmon bro.
@@spurs1499 The EXACT SAME WESTBROOK that helped him get that 3-1 lead vs the warriors. And the same westbrook who averaged 25.2 ppg against you're 67-15 2016 spurs. YEAH EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES. KD fanboys
It was that epic & KD stans try to downplay it saying it was Russ fault & OKC had no chance like stop it they were up 3-1 and playing dominant Durcant just started choking and so did Russ towards the end
Lol even tho some people still bring up the Warriors blowing one, it’s kinda been dying out because Steph and the Warriors are still winning rings….unlike KD 😂
@CH Reason nobody talks about the Warriors blowing a 3-1 lead that much anymore is because we’re still winning rings RIGHT NOW and the fact that we won back to back chips after blowing a 3-1 lead!
2:39 Bullshit that 2016 thunder squad had pieces around it I will never forget guys like Dion waiters, enes kanter,Steven adams ,Anthony morrow and serge Ibaka

The thing I like and appreciate about your channel is that you get right to the content on your videos. No shoutouts to your homies, no annoying " don't forget to like and subscribe" at the onset of the video and no delusional opinion. Many channels on youtube provide similar content but very few have a smooth flow and respects their subscribers time. Keep doing what you are doing and your channel will grow with loyal followers. Two thumbs up!
The roster wasn’t overly dependent on him when he was on okc. They had good team and role players. Only thing say about okc is the chose defense over offense. By keeping Perkins and sefolosha, or Roberson but even then we had Ibaka Reggie Jackson, Marrow.
That shading teammate is weird as a leader like you gotta take accountability even if its not your fault like imagine curry rn shading his teammate or even lebron in like 2018 or even rn they would get crucified but somehow kd gets away with it twice
He did that once. Brooklyn wasn't a title contender when he signed. That's like saying all lebron does is hop for rings because he turned a down franchise into a contender. Cope
Yeah you're both right, obviously. It was just the jump to play with Harden and Westbrook which anyone would do, then jumping to play with nets thinking the same thing and it sticks out to me. Now when things aren't 100% working perfectly in his world he wants out. But yeah i was wrong really I guess, just seems like more
He brought it on himself at the end of the day. He chose to tether himself to Kyrie, whose known to be flaky. He chose to bring in Harden and then Simmons, who both blew up in their faces. And when the going got tough, he threw a tantrum and tried to demand his way out of a bad situation HE is responsible for.
Greetings brother love your commentary on KD and I've seen you on several shows your ability to break down situations and bring common sense to the table is educational and enlightening and once again thanks for telling the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth about KD.
@CH Curry has a winning record without KD AND Klay, the other 2 dont. Curry is the GSW. Him existing on the court makes GSW's attacks possible, he doesnt even have to score a single point to fundamentaly alter the way that his opponents play.
My thing is this… the Nets could have held on to James Harden and not obliged to his trade demands, Kyrie would have been a Full time player, and KD would’ve fully recovered. Then they would have been back on track to tryna win a ring for the following season since tryna go for a deep run in the 2022 playoffs after all what happened would have been kind of stretch.
Kyrie still isn't a full time player lol. And if James was over kyrie (understandable) it probably isn't worth the locker room tensions. Those two dudes are divas I think kd is the only one who'd just go out and play
I hate how people use skill and shooting ability interchangeably. Ben can't shoot but saying he isn't skilled is ridiculous. Kyle Korver can shoot, but he wasn't skilled. They're different things.
KD ruined an up and coming team which had been to the playoffs the year before he joined. Because of him and Kyrie, key players on that team, all young up coming stars, were let go. Their coach Kenny Atkinson was let go. He gave the reasons why he left OKC but he had what he said he was looking for in GS. That lasted two years and he left after his third year to join forces with the head case flat earther Kyrie. Bad decision. In fact, making bad career decisions is now KD's legacy.
Durant needs to play in an offense like the triangle offense. MJ and Kobe were both iso heavy player but under the triangle they both won 6 and 5 chips respectfully. Should of never left OKC or even Golden State. OKC had something going for them despite blowing the 3-1 lead. He could've possibly play with Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, Russ before his downfall, and Steven Adams. With GS, there was less pressure on him as he wasn't the #1 option. If he doesn't win in Brooklyn, his career will forever be a great player who hop on a successful team to win. If Durant is complaining about this Nets roster, imagine him in Kobe's shoe in 06 with Smush, Walton, Kwame, Odom, and Mihm. Only difference was Kobe will this team into the playoffs in a tough Western conference against the Suns but blew a 3-1 lead, only difference he didn't join Phoenix like KD joining the Warriors. Nothing can make KD happy, he was on a team with potential had he stay in OKC, On a championship team with Golden State and wasn't happy. Now he's on a dysfunctional organization he chose with Kyrie's (doing some side quest) future in jeopardy with the team and Simmons being a wimp (you get pay to put the ball in the net) and a potential bust.
one thing that people forget was okc got oladipo and sabonis but was also very close to getting al horford. then possible trading kanter and sabonis and payne for shooting and wings. had he stayed in OKC they were still in position to improve their roster.
1. OKC wouldn’t have gotten pg or melo. 2. OKC didn’t have potential. They just had kd and Russ 2 of the best players at their position. OKC let go of harden and traded Reggie, they didn’t have any shooters. 3. KD didn’t have any pressure on the dubs if anything he had the least amount of pressure. And 4. Your mad he joined gs and then he leaves and ur still mad, can’t please everyone🤷🏿♂️
It's unfortunate he remains to be the #2 in the league, always in the shadow of who we all know is #1 (The "King" himself.) The man still remains my MVP, my favorite player to still play in the league. He had a chance to make a legacy in OKC. That didn't pan out. Went to the best team in league, the Golden State Warriors; had it made, but he left what could've been a dynasty and known as the greatest championship team of all-time. As a free agent, he decides the Nets, coming off a season with D-Lo, Caris, Jarrett, and company as a team who were possibly soon-to-be playoff contenders, was where he wanted to create a new path to greatness, and resulted in blowing up the former team since Kyrie was on his way as well. Three years after all of these events, he's in a team with Seth, Joe, Kyrie, and a ever-growing Nic Claxton, with Ben Simmons, replaced the coach that transformed the Nets team with Steve Nash of all coaches ( and I thought you couldn't worse than Jason Kidd and Derrick Fisher), and is in a situation where all the plans collapsed due to the pandemic, Kyrie's intentional absence, and playing in a dysfunctional organization from the front office to the coaching. I say all this to say, his deteriorating legacy happening in the late end of his career is his own doing from his impulsive decisions and not knowing what could've transpired in teams he arguably left too soon.
Lebron isn't a good example for the argument of running away. He might not of run of to Boston, but taking his talents to South Beach isn't any better. The man pretty much set the standard of prime superstars team hopping and trying to control the building of the overall franchise. Without someone like Lebron making it okay for players to move around and team up. A players like Durant might have never left the team that drafted him and the entire league would look completely different.
@@Lewis-jn8ry at least LeBron went to a team that missed the playoffs the previous year he was the main reason they had the success they had. He didn’t join a successful team that won without him
@CH Miami didn’t make the playoffs the year before Bron & Bosh got there with while Wade was there & their roster was totally different before the Big 3 joined. It was watching it unfold unlike you did I remember well
@@michaelbarnes2126 right..his situation was way different when he went to Miami! Boston had the big 3 including rondo ✔ he couldn't single handedly get past them so he formed his own superteam to even the odds..kevin durant joined a team that already won a championship
@@alexanderadonyae7937 crazy how ppl say the whole big 3 started with Bron when it was simply something to even the odds against the Boston Big 3. Plus basketball is a business at the end of the day. Would anyone who puts up the numbers as a star continue to run into a brick wall year after year and not take an opportunity to make their team or themselves better?
If KD, Kyrie, and the front office had just left the roster the way it was when they first signed with them, the Nets would've been better off. KD and Kyrie with a supporting cast of Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince, LeVert, Bruce Brown, and Landry Shamet? That would've been more than enough to be in title contention.
I used to like KD. But after wanting Steve Nash fired when he was the one who wanted him as the head coach in the first place... that was the straw that broke the camels back for me. KD is largely to blame for the situation he is in. No accountability still after so many years. It's childish...
@CH you must be very forgetful… the season before kd and Kyrie signed the nets had a very fun young squad that actually made the playoffs and DLo was an all star they had a lot of potential with that squad a whole lot
KD wasted a good part of his career going to Brooklyn. He already had a bad rep joint the Warriors he had a chance to redeem himself. Linking up with KYRIE, wtf was he thinking
Steph turned a role player (Draymond) and a 3 and D guy (Klay) into HoFs with his scoring ability and his PLAYMAKING. Durant never even attempted to be a playmaker. Hes such a gifted scorer that he could easily make his teammates better if he created for his teammates more but nah he cant play team ball because "it doesnt give him time to get into his bag" yes thats a real quote This guy is the epitome of DELUSIONAL
If he so worried about having a good team why did he even leave the warriors directly after winning a championship there. Should've just stayed there and won more championships
KD has spent his entire career looking around the roster trying to find the problem. He needs to look in the mirror. He is an all time scorer, but look at all the winningest players, you need to have that *and* be a leader of men. KD is probably one of the least motivational teammates I've ever seen. You're supposed to put the team on your back - that's your job - you don't cry about it afterwards.
I remember when kd came in the league, everyone talked about how skinny he was... Be dang after seeing him on the podium when he was in OKC, he's even skinnier now! He looked heavier then... Its crazy to think he's lost weight over the years
Well, KD and the Nets have hit the right stride at the right time going from 8th to now being among the top teams not only in the Eastern Conference but also in the entire league. They were currently sitting 2nd in the East at 26-13 having won 13 of their last 14 games as of this comment.
The Nets aren’t struggling to make a playoff spot (Or tbh I don’t think they will fall off to that point) They just aren’t good enough to win back to back to back series against a combination of BOS, MIL, PHI, or CLE
What legacy? His legacy is one of the all time great scorers that won a few titles by joining the best team of all time. That ain't changing, he isn't destroying it, it is what it is. The only way he could change the narrative is by leading a team to chips and that just isn't realistic in the league today imo.
KD should go back to OKC! and accept the fact that he could never win a championship again, and mentor those young players give them experience give them vibes of winning playing in playoffs that's the best grace to save his legacy... He has money, Fame, Ring, MVP, what more he can ask for?
I feel KD looking for a new team wouldn't do shit to his legacy if he gets another chip from that, that's just smart moving. Yeah he failed in nets, managements fault or not he would of been way better to stay with GSW. If KD can get to 76ers/Heat/Bulls that be killer for both parts. Send him to Mavs/Blazers/Wolves get some players/picks. UTAH for picks and he has a sexy team to join. At this point if I was KD I would try to position myself somewhere that can push for the next few years.
KD killed his own legacy it's shitty to see, If he stayed on OKC and won championships he could have been a god top 3 all time, if he stayed on the warriors he would have been considered one of the best in caliber but outside the top 8 for sure. With his Brooklyn years he is top 15 all time ( Steph Curry definitely ahead of him at this point), if he forces a trade from Brooklyn too and doesn't win a championship after that... he will be lucky to be considered top 20 especially with the talent we are seeing now in the League. Luka, Jokic, and Giannis will catch up with him if he is not careful. Same deal if he stays in Brooklyn and never wins. If KD never wins a championship again he will be forever relegated to top 20 all time which is a failure on his part considering his potential. Honestly KD's best shot is jump to Knicks or Celtics and try to ingratiate himself into that legacy, winning a championship there would boost his prestige way more than a championship for the Nets
As I watch this video, KD just passed 26,000 career points. He's already an MVP, 2 time champ, 2 time Finals MVP. When it's all said in done 1st ballot Hall Of Famer and still will go down as one if the greatest to ever play. His legacy is fine.
That’s just the thing it’s just fine he had the talent to be a top 5 player ever but now he’s not even going to get close to that and it’s completely all his fault
Nets fan here. I don’t think kd saying what he said about his teammates was him trying to say they were trash. He even lowkey confirmed it. He was saying that his teammates that he on the court with now not supposed to be in this situation. We nets fans was praying for nash to go cause there was so many problems, from playing kd and Kai 40 mins a night to not even having rotations correct. Kd has praised vaughn and I just honestly hope vaughn continues to go in a positive trend. I just hope he stop playing cam Seth and patty all at once. The heat on Ben Simmons is lowkey typical at this point cause everyone ain’t even give the man time and I’ve been hoping ben would turn it around cause game by game he shows signs and he just showed his biggest sign. To say Ben don’t got skill is crazy at that, and he is the key to this team and I still have faith in him. Claxton has gotten better but he’s definitely a backup center rn and I wish he wasn’t so lazy last season cause he could’ve been much bigger than he is now. Harris and Seth still getting back to normal but I got more faith in Seth than joe cause Joe be too on and off. Yuta watanabe has been a godsend off the bench I knew he would be great for us. Kyrie we know is always going to cause problems but when he was playing he was having the best defensive start he has ever had and I just hope he can continue that tomorrow. Tj warren is still not here and I know it’ll take time for him to get to where he used to be. Vaughn being a communicator and talking to his coaches has helped us greatly and trying to push us in the right direction. I’m honestly glad all this stuff is happening early instead of in the middle of the season man. We not even 20 games in and there is time to get on the right track. Idk if we can make a trade but I’d like for us to get Kuzma or pj Washington and a big man.
He cannot or does not want to handle the role as the leader but, expects to still be said leader behind the doors.. He wants all the snap but, none of the pop..
He already did when he pulled a Lebron and created a superteam to win his first titles. But to be fair to him his 2017 title was against another superteam but he hasn’t done anything since
@@Adi-bo5do because he sent a link for a movie and was suspended for 8 games. You obviously have a direct connection to the "chosen people" to think that was justified.
I see you've got Rusty's timing given that they won last nite and had gone 4-2 in the last 6 games. But truth is yes they could have and should have been doing better this season.
KD seems to misunderstand, for one having a top heavy roster is what happens when you build around 2+ superstars, there is just not a way to pay those stars the money they are meant to get and still be able to bring in a super talented bench/other starters. Second, some of the issues with the make of the Nets is HIS fault, now I won’t blame him for every move but we do know that he and Kyrie pushed for DeAndrea Jordan instead of Jarrett Allen and look at how that failed and we know he pushed for Harden and again look at how that ended up. Overall KD continues to show that he has a huge ego (just from how often he argues with randos on Twitter and the number of times he blames everything on others and doesn’t take responsibility for at least some of why things went wrong)and is unable to accept when some of the way things went wrong might be his fault and I dunno maybe lay off trying to be like LeBron in trying to get the front office to get the players you want?
That's why I kept saying. No other team would like to trade for Durant, because he is neutralized with the Nets that which would not mattered in the play-offs. Tough for Durant.
I don’t think KD going to Brooklyn killed his legacy. “Allowing” not necessarily “choosing” who came with him to Brooklyn killed his legacy. Kyrie and especially Deandre Jordan did so. There were so many guys he could’ve had either through free agency or trades that they could’ve gotten that would’ve bettered the roster, just as much a Kyrie did and more. The Covid situation is tricky because it really isn’t a straightforward issue to where you can justifiably blame someone, instead to just be up in arms and in huge disappointment. There is also the organisation problem to look at as well with their huge disfunction. But, this is the era of player empowerment or better known as entitlement. So player controversies overshadow any organisational disfunction we saw.
Fifteen years of 'Player Empowerment' BS, but players SUCK at structuring a team. Those guys at the front office are working there for a reason. Post-social media NBA athlete narcism level is beyond anything that lives. I would call it hubris, but there is a difference between pride and plain stupidity.
