Kiritsugu's ENTIRE Backstory! Fate/Zero Episode 18 & 19 Reaction! 

Apparently this episode aired on Mother's Day and I literally watched it on Mother's Day as well...

Kiritsugu's life was just tragic : - His father experiment his magecraft on Sharley turning her (his older sister figure) into a zombie - when she ask him to kill her, he hesitate and spread the zombies on the whole island - the mage association knowing that send mercenaries and church's soldiers to clean it, especially Kiritsugu's father - but When He knew the Truth, he choose to kill his own father to avoid him doing another experiment. From this moment his thinking process was : "sacrifice the minority to save more people". - when Nathalia was in the zombies frenzy on the plane without nothing else to escape, they both understand that landing the plane was a bad idea because it'll spread a zombie on the town or country. At the very end, Nathala smiled because she was happy that Kiritsugu's emotion didn't stop him from what he have to do Also, this episode Was airing on mother's day. Particularly sad when you know that Kiritsugu killed his mother figure on the same episode

Zero just leaves you in a state of “what in the actual fuck”

Heheh... The zombies... If only Tsukihime had an anime adaptation... So many zombies, monsters, and vampires anime only people miss out on. As for using magic against the Dead... Dead Apostles are very hard to truly put down for a normal mage ESPECIALLY in a cramped place like the inside of a plane, even weaker Dead Apostles can lay waste to small towns like we saw in these episodes... Imagine what the DAA (Dead Apostle Ancestors) from Tsukihime can do. Kiritsugu in theory COULD get more bullets but he would need to grind up dust from his own bones and stuff like that. Worth noting Natalia would've done the same thing if he was on the plane instead of her.

Fun fact, while I can't give a source since I read about this way way WAY back then, Kiritsugu's journey has been like traversing through the og fate/stay night visual novel. As a child, he was like Shirou pursuing his ideal. He only saw his path and followed it regardless of what happened, like Shirou in the fate route. As the story progresses, he learns to "make exeptions" in the pursuit of his goal, and is made to face with the ugly truth, like shirou in the ubw route. Then, he learns to disregard it all for the sake of his goal, regardless of the method. Believing that it is worth it to, as Kiritsugu says, "Kill one to save a hundred". Like how Shirou decided to throw it all away to save Sakura in the heaven's feel route. Eventually reaching the conclusion that he did in the beginning of the fate/stay night story (visual novel and anime)...

Maybe you"ll want to know about the composer of the OST, it's by genius Yuki Kajiura (she composed the OST for other famous animes such as Demon Slayer, SAO, Madoka Magica and Garden of Sinners)

Yeah, also, Natalia's name is a rare case when russian name makes some sense in anime. Yet another fate superiority moment.. Also well it's probably now clear why Kiritsugu is a little bit dead inside. And how much he actually differs from Kirei. Final is close. This anime is definitely way more grim, than FSN, isn't it?

Shirley is probably the cutest girl in nasuverse. I keep both of her CE in fgo. Hopefully we get her as a character. Btw the english dub for this show is really good as well especially this episode. I like the executioners especially the burial agents. I like to think they are keeping things in check especially after what happened in between zero and fate/stay night. Gilgamesh didnt do a thing in those years so I'm guess he knows what number 1 and number 2 could do to him if he acted.
