What's the greatest thing about fostering cats and kittens? There's always a ton of cuteness running around, all day and night! I love seeing my kittens grow from bottle babies with their eyes still closed to precocious 3 to 4 month old "tweens". You get to see their different personalities develop over time. Who will be the trickster cat? Who's the snuggler? Who's the talker? You can usually tell at a pretty early age what a kitten will be like when she or he is grown into a cat. Even kittens from the same litter, raised the same way, will have different characteristics.
In this video, you'll meet the newest kittens at Kitten School, including 5 month old Paprika, who is in foster care for socialization. She's really, really shy and hissy, but I'm working with her every day, and now she's much more relaxed. Paprika has the softest black fur that's sprinkled with little red flecks...that's why I named her Paprika! Hopefully, her attitude will become a little less spicy with some love and attention.
We will also catch up with our four bottle babies, who are now all a big 6 weeks old and eating on their own, using the litterbox, and playing all over the house!
A new Kitten School favorite is Tabitha, a saucy 2 month old Tabby girl who was found living among some feral cats. This girl is LAP obsessed - when she isn't tackling the other kittens or putting one of them in a head lock! Tabitha is going to make some lucky person a wonderful companion.
