Koenigsegg To say I'm looking forward to that documentary/production is a massive understatement haha. Been a big fan of you guys for a long time. I love pretty much all the other super/hypercars too..but I'm glad it seems you guys are overcoming some of the bad luck you had previously. Must have been so frustrating how unfortunate things went when going for a record with the One:1 at the 'Ring, the crash, other setbacks like being limited by noise restrictions at Spa, etc. Really happy you're finally able to show what you/your cars are capable of, and blow other much larger/wealthier automakers out of the water. Haters always would say these cars were overhyped/all talk or whatever..I'd say you've done more than enough to prove how capable your cars are, maybe now they'll start to shut up finally hahaha. Congrats guys I can't wait to see what's to come in the future.

It did 300 km/hr at 1:16 and reached 400 km/hr at 1:27... 11 seconds... This car accelerated from 300 to 400 faster than a lot of cars do from standstill to 100 km/hr full boar launch. Terrifying is an understatement.

Looking at their 0-400-0 footage, the car seems to run out of steam quite early... At 360 the chiron accelerates at about the same pace as the Agera at 400, so my guess is that the Chiron isn't as aerodynamic as the Agera, 100hp more wont make much of a difference at 450kph.

I think Bugatti is taking a different way from koenigsegg. It’s more reliable and classy. They’ve built up a good brand name for themselves. People know that Bugatti is a rich man’s car from songs and other advertisements. Therefore Bugatti would attract more people who are rich but doesn’t really know about cars.

Tyres aren't the problem. Cooling is. Drag is. Making a car aerodynamic to achieve even 300mph isn't a problem, but the drag created from the air to cool the engine is the main factor. Thats the reason why Bugatti is still better in my eyes, the Egg is faster, yes, but doe this 5 times and you'll break down. While the Bugatti proved to actually be really reliable. Best example, on a recent Koenigsegg rally, not a single car managed to get it done, without breaking down at least once...The Regera broke down while Christian was in it, more than once.

290??? It only ran 284.55 mph Shown @ 2:44 min. It couldn't reach 290 as it was only 20 rpms from the limiter at 284.55 mph.

That simply doesn't happen. And according to my calculation you need 2100-2200 horsepower to reach their claimed top speed of 330mph. Aerodynamic drag increases squarely and the power to overcome it increases cubely. In other words you need a LOT more horsepower the faster you go.

Well bugatti didnt have the highest speed rekord. It was done by mercedes in 1937. Mercedes held the record for 80 years.

Not anymore. Just for comparison, the Agera RS needed 3.8 miles to reach 284 mph in the video above. On a landing strip, the Tuatara did 286 mph on only 2.3 miles. All verified this time. Lets see them run again on a longer road or this one again.

One way runs don't qualify for a speed record, it's always the 2-way average but it's true Tuatara has it with a 455.3 Km/h average. Regera has the fastest 0-400-0 time for now after beating Rimac Nevera's record, both Devel 16 and Jesko Absolut will probably beat those records as soon as they're tested.

There's not a single true helicopter that can reach more than ~320km/h unless heavily modified. The Eurocopter X3 can admittedly reach over 470 km/h but it has propellers on either side of it so it doesn't really count imo.

After all, it's a max speed run, not an acceleration run, so no need to get up to speed faster than you need to (as long as you don't run out of road, lol.)

They said it was for engine preservation IIRC. No need to do a full throttle run from 0-280mph if it can get to 200 at part throttle. Listen with headphones, you can hear the turbos spool at 200 mph when he goes full bore

A Bugatti combinates the best of what rüthe car industry is able to: The luxury of a Rolls Royce, the acceleration (nearly) and the quality and image of german art of technique. And all that in one car, just amazing. Thats why a Bugatti is better than any Koenigsegg.
