I knew it had to be Maddie, Kaylee did not live there anymore and her visit was pretty spontaneous because she wanted to surprise Maddie with the new car she had just bought. He probably wanted to SA Maddie but Kaylee being there prevented it from happening, her wounds were more severe because maybe he was frustrated that she got in the way and took out his anger on her. He went downstairs and probably encountered either Ethan or Xana either by accident or surprise, after that he got out of there...basically nothing went as planned for him. May he rot in hell.

Liking EVERY SINGLE ONE of her posts is damning for him. That shows he was trying to get her attention and when she did not give it to him, this narcissistic psychopath was going to punish her for it. I really think the others were just collateral damage.

It’s incredibly easy to download photos and videos from Instagram even without an account. And even if they had their accounts private, he was able to view all of those photos since he followed them. When a disturbed guy like him gets into this mindset, there aren’t really enough protective measures to stop him. The inherent dangers of social media are being all but ignored these days.

With everything that has come to light....I believe he went in the house with intentions to harm Maddie. He was then surprised with Kaylee sleeping in her room. Ethan may have heard something and confronted Brian, because they said Ethan was found in Zana's bedroom door way. Then he killed Zana. I believe it unfolded in a way Brian wasn't ready for.

I believe he went for Maddie and the rest were collateral.

Can you imagine if he went in there to kill one person, Maddie, but killed 4?! That is wild.

It just occurred to me if Maddie was the target, Kaylee may have been collateral damage. It’s possible he really only chose this weekend because Maddie’s boyfriend was away and out of town this weekend and he knew he wouldn’t be there with her so thought it was the perfect opportunity to get her so to speak. He was following one or more boyfriends too I remember either authorities saying or rumors circulating before the gag order was in place.

this is logical.he went to her room and it was a surprise that Kaylee was in there as well. not his experience. not a sleepover guy. that kaylee had more injuries would be an indication of the possibllity she woke during the attack on her friend and she put up a fight. and he was pissed and afraid.

So in that case, Kaylee's injuries were more severe likely because she tried to escape. Maddie is the target, he attacks her first. This gives Kaylee time to react and likely try to get away.. It just clicked for me. Kaylee is responsible for solving this murder. When the killer walked in they were both likely asleep. Killer can only attack one while asleep, so he goes for who he targeted. Removes the sheath from the knife and attacks Maddie. Kaylee wakes up and tries to get away. Because he has to stop Kaylee from getting away, he forgets about the sheath entirely. After having to catch Kaylee and killing her, he figures he made a lot of noise already so he heads out. Likely runs into Ethan at this point, otherwise he likely would have left. Once he engaged Ethan, Xana has to be awake and alert to what's going on so he attacks her too. At this point he REALLY made too much noise and been there too long. He's likely so tired that he just leaves

I knew it. He attacked Kaylee so bad because she protected her best friend and took Maddie from him. Maddie is pure sunshine.

The sad thing is if social media didnt exist this might have never happened. The Instagram, FB, Twitter, puts you out there, and if you are out there for people to see, everyone is looking, not just good people. Very tragic

I hope all this info doesn't screw up the case and they don't get justice

Each piece of new information on these murders is as frightening and sad as the last. RIP Kaylee, Maddie, Ethan and Zana - it’s just awful 😢.

My guess: He went for Maddie. Kaylee caught him off guard and the commotion alerted Xana and Ethan. Ethan went to go see what was going on or was otherwise in the doorway area and encountered Kohberger. I believe perhaps Ethan was the one who said “someone’s here”. I believe Kohberger killed Ethan, then went for Xana, and either didn’t see or otherwise knew he needed to leave quickly with the other roommate, not realizing she would..literally do nothing to get help for her friends…

I never got why everybody including Kaylee's family assumed it had to be because of Kaylee. What is this, a post mortum beauty peagant?

I hope they checked his scalp because if Kaylee was not expected to be there and she had just gotten that vehicle he would not recognize it as hers so he could have assumed Maddie was alone on her floor. With that expectation she might have hit him in the head with something from behind thus bringing out his anger and more brutal attack. It would make sense then that was the unexpected part and why the sheath would be left upstairs. Then to get away he ran into Ethan on the stairs and Xana would then be the one that screamed out loud because she would be next and had the longest time to realize the danger along with fighting back. That would make it Maddie, Kaylee, Ethan, and then Xana potentially.

Any woman that’s ever worked in hospo or retail will always get unwanted attention, it’s your job to be nice and smile and so many men take this as you being interested... so maybe he did come in to contact with her through her workplace. ( I know the owner has denied it but is the owner there every day from open to close and front of house?)

If this is a true fact, it means he had been besotted by either of the girls, he kept stalking them a couple of months leading up to their deaths. The victims perhaps were not aware of his social media harassment, or weren’t heedful to his reactions, texts and comments. Anyhow, it transpires now that the crime was not a random crime.

Jodi Arias also took photos of her victim and ex-BF. Then tried to get the camera damaged in the washer but failed. LE got a hold of the camera and discovered the bloody pics. Later, during interrogation, when Arias found out the police had the camera and the photos, she actually wanted to see the gruesome pictures. An innocent person would not want to see the gruesome death pics but a guilty malignant narcissist would.

Hard to believe theyre gone. Its eerie to see the pics of them.

I was wrong. I have been saying since December it was Kaylee, but this proves it wasn't.

She must have been being A professional and was nice to Him and like most desperate/lonely/empty Men He took it the wrong way and thought they had some sort of special connection when She was most likely just doing Her job.

Wow. Does anyone else see this as great police work? They literally had the public convinced Kaylee was target whilst they investigated this angle further. It explains why Kaylee was brutalized as well- he was frustrated she was home and got in the way of him spending his time on Maddie.

Why do so many commenters believe these girls were asleep when a court document clearly indicates they were not? The roommate who lived heard from upstairs, "Someone is here." That comes from someone awake. The injuries weren't about one friend waking and saving the other but one man attacking both and both fighting for their lives.

Its obvious which bedroom was Maddies from the outside, because she had that M in the window with the red boots that were obviously women's boots (if I remember right from the media photos). College girls dont make it obvious which room is yours! Not victim blaming, just thinking of safety/prevention measures.

When anyone posts a status update or a photo on social media, you are inviting your "friends" or followers or the general public into your private life. Some people don't know what a boundary is when they start frequenting your workplace, home, gym or church. They don't have to be socially awkward like Brian Kohberger, Some can be very charming and manipulative. This happened to me and the person was dealt with legally and accordingly. This person was female and a former friend who prided herself on being "sneaky". You can put your foot down with someone without them making themselves a victim. I am just wondering what kind of personality traits lead to stalking? Are these people sociopaths or psychopaths?

I'd think that Kohberger was more interested in Madison rather than Kaylee because of certain reason's. Kaylee was a bit too formidable and assertive for Kohberger's liking. She represented the kind of female that he'd not like due to this. He wanted someone he felt he could control and manipulate and Kaylee certainly wasn't this type.

Are they confirming it was his LEGIT account? Right after his name was released there were many different fake BK accounts set up. Several of them following the victims right after.

Maddie's room was nearest that back parking lot. With her boots in the window. He knew her room.

Seems like Bryan knew that it would only be a matter of time before he was figured out. Hence the bodycam footage of his fear. He remembered that he left the sheath near Maddie because she might've been the very first main/target. Probably unbuttoned the sheath and the adrenaline took over after that. I bet Chief Fry, Bill Thompson and the FBI will highlight his steps after realizing what he left behind during the trial 😂

See here’s where I began questioning whether Maddie was the intended victim….Bryan was seen at the Vegan restaurant where Maddie worked. Kaylee didn’t work there. Then Kaylee was to move to Texas, so her things were boxed up in her room ready to go. Kaylee then decides to sleep in Maddie’s room. I don’t think Bryan expected Kaylee to be in the same room as Madison. The dog though, someone put into Kaylee’s boxed up room. Was it the girls or Bryan? Nothing found on the dog. He probably went to Maddie’s room to k*ll her but found Kaylee there too. Then Ethan could have been leaving Xana’s room to get the delivery when Bryan was going downstairs. Surprised and before of course getting the food, Bryan spots Ethan an attacks him in the doorway of Xana’s room, then goes for Xana. When he’s done he leaves, passing by the downstairs roommates door that she held open for a second, on the third attempt, where she spots a guy leaving? She had no idea what was happening and had just told them to be quiet and went back to bed. Next morning tshe calls friends and realises something’s wrong then they call police. be there either.

I understand that it’s important to report the news, but I have a bad feeling that media is going to make a fair trial really hard because they keep on releasing information that is going to affect the jury panel. I’m not saying the guy is innocent but he deserves a fair trial.

Something must of triggered him and gotten him mad to go in and kill that particular day. If he had planned it so well he would of watched to see who was home. Why go in when there are extra people at home than the usual who live there if his target was only Maddie?

I just feel like being in college and the career he was studying it seems like he wouldnt be THIS dumb. I don't know how he would ever get out of it but this is very odd because he did well in college. This was also subliminal messaging, basically there’re telling us without telling us the same girl who’s Instagram photos they found on his phone (Maddie) is the same girl that they found the pictures on his phone of after he k ill ed her.
